@italianmommy8 My clinic says you can have sex as soon as a week after transfer. I haven't yet though because last time it was so painful in my first trimester so I'm holding off at least for a bit. I've been exercising but mainly just speed walking/pushing a stroller around the neighborhood. I try to do that at least 4 times per week though. I'm trying to stay more active this pregnancy.
2:15 can't get here soon enough! DH and I both have colds right now which sucks. I'm all shivery and achey and my throat hurts. Just trying to make it through work right now. I forgot how much it sucks being sick while pregnant because you can't take anything that actually helps!

Oh and we've told our parents, siblings, and just a couple close friends. If everything looks good at today's ultrasound I'm going to tell the rest of my family. I don't want to, but this pregnancy means my daughter and I can't be in my cousin's wedding because I refuse to fly with a 3 week old. So I feel like she deserves a head's up. And if I tell my cousin, I have to tell the rest of my family.

@italianmommy8 so happy for you. good photo of your little bean. Both our parents and my brother knew we were doing IVF so we told them we were pregnant at 5 weeks when we went home. And we told them it was 3 at our first ultrasound at 6 weeks. We are still having sex albeit a little less than usual. My doctor said there are no issues with sexual activity. And I've been encouraged to start exercising 3-4 times a week but lightly for only 25 minutes. To be honest I'm finding this quite hard and only doing about twice a week because the babies are giving me lots of symptoms.
@wifeinraleigh28 I hope everything goes well at your scan this afternoon.
I just got home after my scan. All 3 babies are looking great! We saw little arm and leg buds and a heart rate of about 160-170 for each of them. I'm so happy! I have to speak to a nutritionist today who can give me advice on food and weight gain.
My main concerns re sex are spotting after and I know it's dumb but I've read of people being like I had sex and then I miscarried. I'm sure it's just coincidental but for a baby I paid $30,000 for I'm so scared.

@mrsjones91716 I totally understand. Spotting is super super common after sex because the cervix is softer. I've had a tiny bit of spotting after but always stopped within minutes. @italianmommy8 congrats on your scan! and wow that is an amazing beta increase! My estrogen/progesterone just picked up, and I am about a week ahead of you. At 19dp5dt both were down.
@aca25 so amazing that you have three thriving babies in there, that must be an amazing feeling!
I had some tan discharge starting yesterday morning, and completely freaked out. I don't know if I can even call it spotting, but there was definitely something. I had no spotting with my first pregnancy and spotting has never been a good sign for me (e.g., always signals period coming and I also had it with my cp). Luckily I had my scan in the afternoon, otherwise I would have probably convinced myself that it was the end of the pregnancy.
I had my scan yesterday at 6w 3d, baby measured a bit ahead at 6w 5d and had a heartbeat of 125! My RE said that at this point we have a 95% chance of this pregnancy being successful, so relieving! I go back for my next scan at 7w 5d. There was no source of the spotting visible, I engaged in quite a bit of physical activity over the weekend, so figured it might have been that? Estrogen and Progesterone have both increased and Beta is now >10000, but they did not give me any exact measurements.
Re: Sex/Exercise: I have been pretty cautious with both, but feel like I logically know that these are good things that aren't going to hurt the pregnancy. I will probably dip my toes in the water after our next scan and once I haven't had any spotting for a while.

@wifeinraleigh28 that's great! I'm so glad everything is looking good. @BalletAn thank you! It's a great feeling but hard to wrap my head around lol lots of planning coming very quickly! @BalletAn great news on your baby. I'm glad your scan went well. I also had some yan coloured discharge and it also turned out to be nothing. It's hard not to read into everything! I freaked too and held off on sex for several days.
Ahhh congrats @wifeinraleigh28 so happy for you!!! Ahh congrats @BalletAn so great to see heartbeat at 6w3d. I’m hoping that happens next week for me I’m glad I’m not the only one worried about sex and exercise.
@ACAC25 I’m sure you’ll have a mix of gender! I feel like we need to keep our group going so we know all these fun details!!
@mrsjones91716 I hear ya! I’m OOP too and that’s how I think! But that being said I also firmly believe that an orgasm, sex, or masturbation rarely causes miscarriage. It’s more likely to be an issue with the embryo.
I’m on holiday this week and doing lots of hiking, swimming, relaxing! The hike today was 3 miles going up but I didn’t break a sweat and it was very shady so I hope I didn’t overdue it. I think walking isn’t really considered strenuous activity anyways??
@nancinator that's great! Yes I would love to keep updates with this group. I'm excited to see all of our babies in Feb-April time next year!
I think hiking and stuff is totally fine! My doctor is even encouraging me to workout to break a sweat and then stop after about 25 mins! We leave for vacation tomorrow too. We are just doing a relaxing beach vacation at an all inclusive. Cant wait!
@ACAC25, yeah, that is my concern! My husband already says he hits my cervix all the time (I don't feel it) so I'm worried he will irritate it a lot and cause bleeding which even though I know will be from that will make me worry. @nancinator, agree it is probably just coincidence and due to embryo issues but I'm still paranoid/worried about uterine contractions. We'll see what happens at 6w1d scan on Friday!

Kind of worried...yesterday and this morning my symptoms are gone and my baby bump that was hard is soft and my boobs are very soft not hard and achy anymore super worried I’ll be 6 weeks tomorrow. I go back to the doctor on Tuesday. Should I call the doctor? Has this happened to anyone?
@italianmommy8 Try not to worry! Symptoms constantly come and go throughout pregnancy. Disappearing symptoms doesn't mean anything is wrong. I still have no noticeable bump and I'm 8 weeks. Last time I didn't really see anything until 12 weeks and even then it was very small and I didn't really show until 20 weeks. So I bet some of your bloat just went away which is totally fine.

@wifeinraleigh28 I'd definitely be interested in joining a FB group too. As long as we can make it closed. We have decided we arent posting about the babies on social media until 16 weeks.
@italianmommy8 I totally understand your concern. My symptoms have been up and down for the last 3 weeks. Try to take comfort that day to day symptoms can change.
I have a fairly noticeable bump already. I'm officially 9 weeks today. I get to see my little gremlins again in just over a week at 10w 2d.
I wouldn’t worry either - my symptoms are on and off as well. Right now I feel sore boobs but it wasn’t constant this week. Right now I’m having annoying lower back pain - anyone else?
@nancinator I’ve been having lower back pain too. And I can feel sharp pains from uterus stretching. I definitely didn’t get that this early last time.

@italianmommy8 I was traveling so sorry to reply late, but I was the same as you this week. No symptoms for 2 days, felt great, now I’m the worst I’ve been for 3 days in a row. It’s so crazy how this all works! And as far as buying things, I was just in Ireland so I felt I just had to buy a coupe cute little wool stuffed animals lol couldn’t help myself! Have you?
@ACAC25 I’m not planning on sharing on social until I’m showing enough I can’t hide it. This whole process has been so scary I’m just too scared to share it so publicly yet.
I have my first OB appointment tomorrow, 9w4d. Was trying to wait until 10 weeks but he was booked so we’re going in a little early. I really hope I like him, he was recommended by a friend.
@nancinator I had lower back pain about a week or so ago but not too bad now. Could be coz I'm resting on vacation.
@italianmommy8 I cant hide my bump now in most clothes. I kinda look like I just gained weight but it's also getting s bit rounder. I'm expecting a full on bump in the next few weeks because its 3. I havent bought anything yet but I have been researching a lot and already have car seats and a stroller picked out. My mum is itching to buy things but I've told her no buying things until our road trip home which I will be 17 weeks.
I haven’t bought anything yet but I did create an amazon registry so I can have a place to add things we are going to need for a second kid. Things like an additional camera for our baby monitor and stuff. Not going to have a shower or anything but at least I can get that registry completion discount!
@ACAC25 I totally have my double stroller picked out too now after watching a billion YouTube videos haha. I wouldn’t even know what to get for triplets!!! Just figuring things out for this second kid is hard. But I’m glad I already have most things I need from before.

@wifeinraleigh28 was it easy doing the Amazon registry? I'm totally thinking of doing that for ours. I think it's easier plus we will be having a shower (it's our first babies and there are so many! So much stuff we need). It is honestly hard to find info for triplets, a lot of stuff ia designed for twins and an older child. The stroller I found is Zoe XL3 which is a double stroller that converts to triplet and quad stroller. Its super lightweight and awesome looking. The only issue is I have to wait until the babies are close to 10lbs before they can go in. But newborn triplet strollers are triple the price! I've been reading blogs of triplet moms who have graciously posted their registries online to help guide us with what we need.
@wifeinraleigh28 I'm glad things went well when you DTD. Me and DH still are too. The only issue TMI is that some positions I used to love are more difficult and not worki ng as well, I think its because of the longer and more sensitive cervix. So its interesting trying to navigate that lol
Thanks all for responding, let me know how your appointment goes tomorrow. I go tomorrow morning for ultrasound and blood work, last time was one week prior. Tomorrow I am 6w2d.
Had my ultrasound this morning and blood work. We saw our baby and the the flickering of the heartbeat. The doctor told us they don’t listen to the heartbeat just look for the flickering which we had.
This was last week - 5 weeks 2 days sac and yolk sac seen.
These two pics above were from this morning. I am 6 weeks and 2 days. Measured 6 weeks 0 days. I asked the doctor if I should be concerned about that and she said not at all. Saw flickering of the heart beating!
I go back next week for another ultrasound and blood work. Then I’ll gave another ultrasound at 8 weeks before graduating to my OB,
@italianmommy8 nice pics! Why are they having you do so many ultrasounds?
@ACAC25 it’s super easy to do an amazon registry! Last time we did amazon and babies r us which you obviously can’t do anymore but buybuy baby is a good option too. I just think amazon is easiest for most people to buy from and prices are great. LMK if you want any help deciding on products and I can give you my personal experiences/opinions. It can be so overwhelming with all the options! Another cool thing about amazon is they have an awesome welcome box that they send you after completing your registry checklist and making a $10 purchase. The Zoe stroller looks awesome and your babies will be 10 lbs before you know it!

@italianmommy8 so happy that everything looked great! Yeah dont worry about the baby measuring a little behind. Mine were 8w2d, 8w1d and 7w6d at my 8w3d scan and my doctor said as long as they arent a week or more behind its fine.
@wifeinraleigh28 that's good to know that it's easy. Tbh that's why I was looking at it because I order everything off Amazon now, they have the best prices. I think we are gunna make our wishlist over the next few weeks. I will definitely take any recommendations. The one I wasnt sure about is bottles or breast pumps. I saw Avent has a pump and I've read good things about their bottles. What do you think? And dummies/soothers I've heard there are specific types that are designed not to affect teach or cause nipple confusion. So many things to think about lol
@ACAC25 So for a breast pump the best out there IMO is Spectra. I used a Medela for the majority of my nursing journey last time and while it was fine, once it broke (it was my sister's through 2 kids before mine) I got a Spectra and the difference was remarkable. The Spectra is quieter, and so much easier to get a good suction and I ended up pumping more milk with it. As for bottles, for breast fed babies I highly recommend Comotomo. They are shaped like a boob and your baby latches to it like they do when breastfeeding. We went through a lot of bottles that my daughter rejected before trying this one after a number of friends recommended them and it was instant love for her. For pacifiers/soothers honestly, nipple confusion was never an issue for us at all. I am convinced they say that just to scare you lol. I say get a few different kinds because all babies have different preferences. My baby only liked Mam pacifiers (but shockingly hated Mam bottles). A lot of babies love the Avent soothie pacifiers. It just depends and you have to try different ones.

Any other appointment updates in the group?
@italianmommy8 I cant hide my bump now in most clothes. I kinda look like I just gained weight but it's also getting s bit rounder. I'm expecting a full on bump in the next few weeks because its 3. I havent bought anything yet but I have been researching a lot and already have car seats and a stroller picked out. My mum is itching to buy things but I've told her no buying things until our road trip home which I will be 17 weeks.
@ACAC25 I totally have my double stroller picked out too now after watching a billion YouTube videos haha. I wouldn’t even know what to get for triplets!!! Just figuring things out for this second kid is hard. But I’m glad I already have most things I need from before.

@wifeinraleigh28 I'm glad things went well when you DTD. Me and DH still are too. The only issue TMI is that some positions I used to love are more difficult and not worki ng as well, I think its because of the longer and more sensitive cervix. So its interesting trying to navigate that lol
I go tomorrow morning for ultrasound and blood work, last time was one week prior. Tomorrow I am 6w2d.
These two pics above were from this morning. I am 6 weeks and 2 days. Measured 6 weeks 0 days. I asked the doctor if I should be concerned about that and she said not at all. Saw flickering of the heart beating!
I go back next week for another ultrasound and blood work. Then I’ll gave another ultrasound at 8 weeks before graduating to my OB,
@ACAC25 it’s super easy to do an amazon registry!
