@babyspice5 pregnancy dreams are so crazy and can be scary too. It’s probably just any anxiety you have coming out. I’m sorry though - definitely not a fun way to wake up!!

@brookert615 I’m also feeling uterine tightening. From what I understand, our uterus contracts pretty regularly...it’s just not big enough to notice. I think some women feel Braxton Hicks as early as 2nd trimester and I think I’m in that club!
Somewhat related, I have a tilted tilted uterus which has been wrecking havoc on my bladder. If it got too full, my uterus would block my urethra and I couldn’t pee until my uterus shifted/contracted! It caused some serious panic the 8-10 times it happened. My doctor worried me with talks of a catheter. Thankfully, it hasn’t happened in a week and a half so I think I’m in the clear now.
@nhh11 It's a stabbing pain (kind of like a fast, intense menstrual cramp). Mine tend to be localized to the right side of my uterus, but I have had a couple that went all the way across.
@nhh11 it is a really sharp, intense pain. Today it was located on the lower right part of my uterus and shot down towards my pelvic area. Just delightful.
@nhh11 For me RLP happens most often when I go to get up. It's sharp and shooting and leaves me bent over taking deep breaths until it loosens up enough to stretch my midsection straight. It's usually to the right or left of my uterus about half way between hip joint and belly button, sometimes lower or higher.
@babyroma For me, if I keep doing whatever I was doing when it started it will keep going. If I stop and sit down or change positions it usually goes away quickly.
It hasn't happened much yet, but was going nuts this weekend. I asked my OB about it and she said she can prescribe a support belt when I get a bit bigger to keep my uterus from jostling too much, but right now I am still too small for it to help. Also she kind of laughed when I asked about it and told me to wait until my next baby. 😳
Oh the dreams. Ladies I had the most vivid intricate mystery thriller romance story dream. When I woke I was terrified yet shocked at the sheer depth of plot. My first one ever in this genre. It was so profound I told my mother and grandma the whole story and guess what? I'm writing a book now! I have never seen a movie or film like this dream. So original, I would say it's from pregnancy but I always have vivid dreams like this, only pregnancy is making me more tired and more prone to sleep so I guess it's really fueling my creative subconscious. Also I dreamt it was a girl and I know I'm right. My dreams have always been a good way to communicate with myself. I dreamt about my son many times before I knew and yes, I wanted a girl, but I just knew, the message was repetitive and simple. I was standing alone smiling in a warm light room holding a baby boy.
Is anybody else becoming more exhausted as their pregnancy progresses? I had a nap today and feel like I need another one. I’m just dragging. No amount of sleep is enough.
My lower back has started aching a little. More like sciatic pain but not quite. This is what happened last time too so my new mini snoogle is supposed to arrive tomorrow!!

Thisclose to barfing in the car with the whole family yesterday, even after I took my zofran and my preggypop candy and put on my seabands. My nausea is getting worse, not better, and it sucks. I'm also starting to get occasional headaches, but that might be related to the changes in weather we've had recently. Ugh I feel like such a Debbie Downer.

Aw I’m so sorry! That sounds awful! 😕 I’ve been having headaches too. I hope you start feeling better soon!
Anyone getting woken up in the middle of the night with the worst heartburn and acid reflex?! I'm basically addicted to Tums and sleeping in a sitting position to help...
@fallonpartyfor2 I’ve been having acid reflux and heart burn really bad the past week or so. After ever meal, it shows up with a vengeance and sticks around until after I go to bed. It's not bothering me once I fall asleep (yet) but it’s still a pain! Give me all the tums lol
@fallonpartyfor2 and @taylor2020, be careful not to take too many Tums. The calcium in them is actually not good in larger doses. If your acid reflux is bad talk to your doctor about Zantac. It is safe for pregnancy.
I had the worst heartburn last pregnancy. My mom told me roasted barley tea would help with that and it did. I just kept drinking it all throughout the end of my pregnancy.
Add me to the heartburn club. I never have dealt with it really before this pregnancy. I felt like my insides were literally on fire Friday night. It was miserable. I escaped this my last pregnancy, so I am pretty sure I am doomed this time around as things get bigger and bigger.
Is anyone else having palpitations? I seem to get them when I’m pregnant. My dad is a cardiologist so I’m not worried about it, but it’s weird how they increase when I’m pregnant.
@jessieR358 I have been noticing them more the last few weeks. I also had them prior to pregnancy every once in a while and had an EKG done and all is good. But I have been noticing them also.
@jessieR358 Not yet but I had them last pregnancy toward the end so I'm expecting them again. I've never had them outside of being pregnant so they can be kind of jarring the first couple times.
I'm starting to show! I went to visit my jail clients today and all of the Corrections Officers were commenting or asking if I was pregnant
Dreams. Nothing particularly freaky/scary, but definitely more vivid. Same kind of work-anxiety dreams I've always had. Lots of panicking about undone work for clients who aren't really real (usually an amalgamation of clients, in terms of their issues).
Still a little sleepy/sluggish, but energy better overall and nausea has abated.
Acid reflux. Sometimes really bad, and it's impacting my sleep. Finally caved and took a Zantac yesterday.
I do feel like I'm a little more forgetful or scattered or something.
I think about being pregnant almost constantly.

@jessieR358 I ended up in ED yesterday due to being tachy and out of breath even while resting. EKG looked good, and the only thing my bloodwork showed was low magnesium (which can cause tachycardia). And I felt better after a liter of IV saline. So I think it was a mix of slight dehydration and low mag.

But the absolute worst, is the gas. During the day doesn’t bother me too much, but at night I wake up in so much pain, I try to go to the bathroom, but it doesn’t help. It’s just like shooting gas pains all night long. Then I wake up and I’m fine.
@lanie1000 oh crap! I’m a FTM and kinda assumed having trouble peeing was just a new phase of pregnancy. I’m also a tilted uterus. I usually just feel like I sit and shift around until I can finally pee.

Anyone else thinking we might need to start a crazy pregnancy dream thread? We had one with my last BMB and it got very entertaining...and very weird.
I'm down for a pregnancy dream thread! I have mostly awful nightmares but the other day I had a dream I gave birth to a puppy. IDK lol.

I once had a dream that I gave birth to kittens. I was not pregnant at the time and I don't usually remember my dreams either. 🤷♀️
