@triwellnessgirl I’m glad you got your mom into a great facility. My dad’s treatment was 8 weeks of chemo and radiation. It was really rough, I think mostly because it was in his neck so it effected his ability to eat. He had to survive on protein shakes and it was just extremely painful. He also did not want to be a zombie on the pain meds nor wanted any chance of getting addicted so really roughed it out big time. That first year was the worst but he’s past his 5 year remission point so they’ve officially consider him cancer free. Also whoever will be the primary care giver, sounds like maybe you, sign up for group support. Cancer effects more than just the patient, it can be very tough on the care giver as well.
