I'm going to a work happy hour tonight at a brewery.....so that kinda blows, lol. I'm going to drown my sorrows about not being able to drink a beer with some of their delicious (unhealthy) food. Hey, at least I get out for a kid free night!!!

@Pgh_Kel I feel you! I miss booze. One good thing about this pregnancy is that alcohol is completely unappealing to me, so I’m not missing it as much as I thought. Enjoy your unhealthy food! You can definitely partake in that 😉
@therealbitts Thanks! I'm the queen of the mocktail lately....give me ALL the non-alcoholic beverages! It'll subside once I have a belly (it did with my first pregnancy). I didn't think it was worth the dirty looks from people assuming I was drinking liquor

@jvk2012 I am a big fan of bloody marys, so I just get those virgin-style. I've also been loving the Moscow Mule Mocktail (non-alcoholic ginger beer, soda water & lime juice). You can also add sparkling water or gingerale to some orange juice for a mock-mimosa (this works for bellinis too).
I really love any sparkling water, so I can usually add a splash of some kind of juice and pretend it's boozy by drinking it out of a fancy glass, lol, it's the simple things.

@Pgh_Kel I’ve really been missing cold, white wine. I’m not a huge drinker, but I do love my white wine and rosés in the summer. So I bought myself a bottle of Welch’s rosé sparkling grape juice 😉
@daffodil_shoe Yep, I've tried some of the sparkling grape juices before too!! (I sound like this is all I do with my days, haha whatever) Is the Welch's you mentioned sweet? I can't find anything that is a "dry" non-alcoholic version so I tend to skip the faux-wine/champagne.

@celticknotfire They just started selling them! There’s a spicy margarita that sounds intriguing 😂. If I get one I will report back!
@doodleoodle I’ve never tried the malt at sonic! We have one super close by and I love their signature slingers, it’s a lower calorie burger but def doesn’t taste like it 😍.
My oldest just informed me he can't go to school this year because he needs to take care of me since I throw up all the time. Super sweet boy, but you're going to school you stinker.
I haven't really been able to drink without having serious stomach issues since I had DD. I can have one drink but anything more than that isn't worth it because of bathroom and anxiety issues. I used to belong to wine clubs and stuff. Maybe this pregnancy will undo it like two negatives make a positive?
The mocktail I've been enjoying is 1 pt real cranberry juice (not the cocktail) to 1 pt OJ to 2 pts seltzer.

So I got to work today and there is some sort of water issue which brought our building from six elevators to one. Instead of waiting I decided to hike the 14 floors of stairs (which I used to do before pregnant all the time) and I think I almost died. I am ready for another nap Hopefully they fix it by noon because I want to go to yoga!

@brookert615 you mean you don't want to do fun stuff like pee on vinegar to find out the baby's sex or look at thousands of ultrasounds to use the "Ramzi method" to guess the sex of a baby?? what's the matter with you? :-D

p.s. I do have the What to Expect app but there are way too many threads about pregnancy scares and so I feel triggered in their "community". the worst one is the Ovia app which has the most ridiculous questions ever. "is it okay to drink 1 cup of decaf coffee?" "My peripheral is kind cloudy? Just on my right eye though, anyone experience this?" "Jealous of those giving birth before due date...getting impatient and sad"

@leksiL Hahah! I have both apps and I just use them for the app and not the community. I totally agree. I know when I was TTC I would laugh so hard at some of the posts on the Ovia app!
@brookert615 ugh no, I didn’t get the invite! I have a feeling I know who it might be based on some posts on the 1st tri board. I only use the app, so I had to log in on my laptop to see if I had any messages. Fun finding I did actually have a message from someone else from a few days ago telling me that I’m mean on here 🤷🏼♀️ ETA- Maybe that’s why I didn’t get an invite!
@brookert615@leksiL apparantly I'm condescending. I thought I'm just informative and quick to the point, but who knows. Apparantly not BabyCenter material!
@daffodil_shoe You're far from it! But I guess when people are dumb and actually get some actual informative feedback - they don't know how to react lol.
@daffodil_shoe what? I never thought you were mean or condescending at all!
I didn't get the invite but I haven't posted too much here. I guess I'm just not special enough. Even looking at some of the other sites gives me anxiety because of the lack of organization.

@daffodil_shoe I haven’t seen a single post from you that I could interpret as negative. In fact, this is one of the most low key, drama free boards I’ve ever seen.
@leksiL I love the Ovia app for my own tracking. The questions are ridiculous. I got on BabyCenter for 5 seconds with my first and left. But they keep sending me emails

Ha thanks everyone, I promise I’m not taking it personally. I can’t control how other people feel/read into things. I was just sharing cuz it was funny that I had a PM that was basically the opposite of being invited to BabyCenter 😆
I'm feeling a little selfish. I was so excited to tell my coworkers about the pregnancy but with another coworker being due 2 months before me, i feel like if I announced it to them in a cute way it seems too competitive.
At this point I'm tempted to just let HR know and take care of the FMLA paperwork and let my work team find out on instagram when we announce it to friends.
