2nd Trimester

Standing up too quickly and feeling nauseous

This just started happening this week, twice now. I was lying down and stood up quickly. About 10 seconds later, I was hit with a wave of nausea so strong I thought I was going to throw up on the spot. It didn't feel like dizzyness or blacking out. Just a wave of intense nausea that lasted about 10 seconds. Anyone else experiencing this?

  • @mammajamma1 Hopefully you've contacted your Doctor by now to let him/her know about this to see if it's normal for your pregnancy?
People think we become mothers when we give birth but the truth is we become mothers the moment we start calling our babies to us in our thoughts, dreams and prayers. Some paths are short and some are so long that you can easily forget where you were headed.

How I feel all of the time.

  • This can be due to your blood pressure dropping or spiking. In your second trimester, blood flow to your baby via the umbilical cord is increased. It's usually normal, but a check-in with your OB or prenatal care provider is always a good idea!

  • I get dizzy when I stand up too fast.. and I get out of breath if I'm moving around too fast and that'll make me nauseous
  • I get so dizzy when I move too quickly. And then that just leads to nausea. It gets so bad so I just try to take it easy when I can.
