How are you feeling?: I feel like I'm slowly getting better, but I did notice we went to 3 car shows this weekend and I was totally wiped out. By Sunday afternoon I was so out of it.

How are you feeling?: i go from hungry to dry heaving really quickly. Iโve been having lightening crotch recently as well as some rlp. Boobs hurt less but Iโm as tired as ever.ย
Rants/Raves: I forgot to cancel my hello fresh order this week so not impressed Iโll be paying $70 for two meals ๐. Not cost effective at all. Thatโs what I spend on a weeks worth of food normally.ย
Rave: I started buying some things we need for the babies. I got a great deal on a car seat because they were discontinuing a color. I also got a Lillebaby carrier for 60% off from a sale on amazon yesterday. We also started our diaper and wipe stash so itโs starting to feel more real.ย

How are you feeling?: nausea and fatigue are still there but subsiding. Starting to feel a little heavy around the middle.
Rants/Raves: The weekend was fun! We went to a baseball game Saturday, and it was just really nice to relax as a couple. Sunday, our church had a family day, which consisted of a potluck picnic outside under a huge tent and bounce house and other fun activities for the kids. We didn't stay long because DD was getting tired and passed her nap time, but it was still so much fun.ย
Also, DH and his dad were able to finish all the drains for our new addition and tie it into sewer and schedule our first inspection! (out of 9?)
Questions: Anyone else considering breaking out the maternity clothes. Last time as a FTM, I started wearing maternity clothes at 15 weeks, so I might hold out that long again. But my closet of clothes that still fit is dwindling.

Maybe I should at least pull out my maternity skirts and shorts. I just feel like I'm not quite bump enough for the shirts and dresses. I just look fat, not pregnant.

How are you feeling?: Still so tired, but not sleeping well. When I get hungry it's intense, comes on fast, and I feel sick and cranky if I don't eat right away. That's totally differentย than pre-pregnancy when I'd eat just twice a day and rarely ever feel hungry. And my right nipple has been itchy for whatever reason, lol.
Rants/Raves: I had it in my head that the first trimester is the first 12-13 weeks, but I just found out 2nd trimester doesn't start until week 14! Ugh! So i guess I'm still slogging through the last few days of my first trimester. Almost there!ย
Questions: Anyone have a good belly butter they recommend? Does it really work to prevent stretch marks and when's the time to start using it?ย

@marebear15 that sounds like such a nice weekend! I haven't felt the need for any maternity clothes yet. I feel a little bloated so I was surprised my leggings fit just fine the other day.ย
@noranorabobora Palmer's cocoa butter is always a good choice! I used it a lot through puberty (stretch marks on boobs and thighs. 13 was fun! ๐) on recommendation of my then pregnant sister and it did seem to help. Also, my right nipples has been itchy too! Weird!

How are you feeling?: Been throwing up everything I eat the past few days, so hungry. Also,ย headachey and backachey. MH needs to start being more generous with massages!
Rants/Raves: my sister is coming into town today! Excited to see her and her family and announce to them our pregnancy! Still not quite in 2nd tri but this will be the only opportunity to tell them in person. I'm hoping I get the results today so we can also announce the gender.ย
Questions:ย how many outfits do you need for each stage? It seems like newborns grow out of sizes within a week!ย

Edit: I was able to create an account and see lab results! Very cool. Thanks for that tip! Doesn't look like NIPT are in yet but everything else was. Bonus, glucose test says I do NOT have gestational diabetes so that's a win ๐

@noranorabobora stretch marks are mostly genetics but using something wont hurt. Ive heard bio oil is really good.
@peppyj9 sorry youve been feeling so bad lately! I was surprised the carriers were such a good sale! Hopefully they will have more around black friday! No answer regarding your question. I do recommend looking into second hand stores, like once upon a child or consignment sales in your area. They can be so expensive brand new and when they are that small, they are quickly grown out of and barely used. Take advantage of being able to get them cheap if you can.ย

@marebear15 Iโm also thinking about breaking them out. I canโt button some of my pants, and the ones I can just feel right and like they are squeezing my bladder lol I think Iโm going to do it this week, well at least the pants, so Iโm more comfy. The shirts can wait a bit longer I think!
@peppyj9 I canโt remember the exact amount, but I definitely over bought for each stage on my first. She was over 10 pounds at birth, so she barely fit into newborns to begin with. She grew fairly quick and was in a new stage every 2-3 months and I found that she didnโt wear half of what I bought. Itโs good to have extras for when they spit up or leak out of their diapers, but they do grow so fast! Sorry Iโm not much help lol

@kbrown2385 yay for starting a baby stash! I wish I could justify a new carrier. There are so many with cute patterns but mine is still in good shape. Which is good I guess. But I want cute ๐
@marebear15 I have already busted out the maternity clothes! I feel huge already. Just the shorts so far, not enough bump for the ruched tips yet
@noranorabobora I love the Burtโs Bees belly lotion. Stretch marks are mostly genetic I think. I didnโt get any with DS but I donโt think itโs really to do with the lotion. But it helped the crazy itching I had for sureย
@peppyj9 how many outfits really depends on the baby. I personally wouldnโt buy much/any clothes until after your baby shower if you are having one. People love to buy baby clothes. Also like others said, second hand is awesome especially at this stage because the clothes donโt fit all that long and they arenโt mobile so itโs not super worn. DS also lived mostly in pajamas the first few months unless we were leaving the house. And the gown style ones were a blessing for middleย of the night diaper changes!

@marebear15 part of my wardrobe is maternity and those fit much more comfy.ย I'm just 'showing' incredibly faster than with my other two pregnancies.ย Although the maternity clothes make me look even more pregnant but o well.
@noranorabobora I believe stretch marks are more based on genetics.ย But any type of creams or oils are good to keep the skin nice and not dry.
@peppyj9 I have January and March babies and put them in just pajamas for the first 3ish months.ย Granted I'm in Michigan so its snowy and cold in the winter and we mostly stay in the house.

@stashattack @peppyj9 The wait for results always seems so much longer than it should be. I hate the phone tag that seems to go along with it the most. Just release results to my patient portal or leave a voicemail. Don't make me keep calling!!
@kbrown2385 ugh, that stinks that you forgot to cancel. I wish they didn't automatically enroll you in those things.
@marebear15 I've been wearing a lot of dresses, so that I don't have to wear maternity pants yet. But at least at home, I've been in lounge around maternity pants since 9 weeks.ย
@peppyj9 others had great feedback on clothes, but we went with mainly zippered pajamas in winter and short sleeve onesies in summer/fall with DD, regardless of where we went. We had 5-8 of each size, mainly because we were okay doing laundry every few days.ย
@peppyj9 - I had about 10 daytime outfits and 10 sleepers for each stage. Only a few dresses and nice things because the only time DD wore any of that was for pictures and church on Sunday. No shoes until she could walk, just socks.ย
Target has these really cool sleepers that zip from the bottom up. Those were a godsend for MOTN diaper changes.ย

@peppyj9 I wondered the same thing about clothes. But my SIL has a baby that will be almost exactly 1 year older and so she is putting aside all the clothes he grows out of. So I imagine I will be well stocked. Plus people are already buying me baby clothes so I don't think I will have to worry about having too many. Also yay for no GD!
@kbrown2385 Nice work getting the stash going. I haven't wanted to pull the trigger on anything big yet. I have browsed the Amazon Prime Day deals and there are some deals on Graco car seats and BOB stroller that caught my eye if anyone is interested but I think we are going to wait. We have black Friday deals still to come and I think I will be more prepared and know more what I want/need by then. I did though buy a couple of cloth diapers and coversย because we plan to do cloth diapering. Just want to see how they work and have something to practice with.ย
@stashattack I didn't realize places don't have patient portals these days. Those are amazing places. I like having the knowledge. Knowledge is power and sometimes I know my numbers better than they do so I like to have all the info! Good luck waiting on the results. Waiting is the hardest part!
@marebear15 I have been in maternity clothes since 10 weeks. Real pants were putting pressure on my stomach and making me more nauseated. I made my mom go with me to help me pick some out. The switch definitely tipped off some people at work but I am so much more comfortable so I don't care!
@blackcat01 I feel you with the random nausea. I keep thinking I should be past this but this weekend I really just felt awful and tired most of the weekend. Hopefully, we both pass that phase soon!ย

How are you feeling?: I keep thinking I'm going to start feeling better but I've been worse lately. More nausea and terrible gas pains. I'm having trouble keeping my weight up but nothing sounds good. Hoping this phase will pass soon. I tried to sleep a lot this weekend to hopefully make it pass. I feel a bit better today so maybe it worked?
Rants/Raves: One more week of class and I finished writing the final exam. I'm in the home stretch, then I can work on other projects and get ready for fall but at a more leisurely pace!

Upcoming Appointments: I had a routine office visit yesterday, apparently all of my labs were fine. Anatomy scan is scheduled for Sept 13 and my next OB visit is Aug. 15.
How are you feeling?: I think I am starting to feel better. Similar to what everyone else said, I get sick easy if I get hungry, and I'm still pretty tired, but I feel like I am slowly turning the corner!!
Rants/Raves:ย We got all of the old (thirty plus year old) carpet pulled out of our house and are laying new flooring!!! Once that's done I can decide which spare bedroom I want this Little One to occupy.
