@nancinator - I don't think the lab even keeps them. Thanks for the article; it was an interesting read and I have sent it to my dr. to review and comment. I am not sure I would be brave enough to try it, but for many women, it seems like it worked great.
I am highly disappointed but not unexpected I guess. ONE of the embryos they said was "indeterminate" and could be tested again so I am going to ask they do that. I know it risks damaging the embryo, but it's worth a shot (unless he would just put that one in anyway). Worth asking.

I am meeting with the Dr. on Friday to see if they will put the indeterminate one in for a FET without retesting. Can't be any different than someone with a "good" looking embryo that hasn't been tested. If it works! Great!! if not, I didn't have to spend anymore $ to find out. With 4 other losses under my belt, it wouldn't damage me too much more emotionally to try it and potentially MC if it 1/2 worked (get pg but doesn't stick). I'll update everyone by Monday!!
On another note, since I stopped the estrogen pills/patches, my period came about 10 days early!! I don't know if stopping the estrogen caused it or not. If not, then this month for an FET would have been shot anyway (I was supposed to have my FET this Friday). That is now 2 cylces with MUCH shorter luteal phases than normal.

Hey ladies! Popping in to provide an update...so much has been going and I’m trying to process it all. Had my ER on Friday, 24 eggs...21 viable and 12 fertilized! Right after my ER rushed to my grandma’s bedside, as I was getting my ER I was getting texts and calls to notify me she pretty much stop breathing. She passed on Saturday and that’s when I found out 12 eggs fertilized so I’m in a very confusing place....I want to be happy but I’m so sad/hurt! Friday felt like a whole weekend! Btw, today we received our day 3 update and all 12 eggs are progressing!

Won't know until this Friday. I am hopeful that he will let me use the indeterminate embryo. Being that it is a Day 6 embryo, it is unlikely to work, but it's worth asking about and trying. Otherwise, we will likely do one more IVF to see if we get a better batch next time. Thanks for thinking of me!

UPDATE: Just got back from the meeting with the Dr. I got my PGS report back and I am going to do some research on the results from the abnormal blasts, but I had 5 girls and 2 boys. The indeterminate one is a girl. The Dr. is willing to transfer the indeterminate as well as any of the abnormal embryo's that are not incompatible with life which it looks like I have 2 of those (1 boy 1 girl) so 3 total.
As we researched, there is a likelihood (small, but still) that the embryo could self-correct and end up in a normal state as the article that was shared above describes. It's worth a shot before spending another $10K on IVF#2. He said at my age, it may end up the same next time (with no normals), so why not try this first. He wants me to talk to a genetic counselor first so they can go over the risks (obviously if it works and the embryo didn't self-correct and I end up with a child with abnormalities). From there, we will start the next cycle. Praying hard here!!

@ladyp0tter that is fantastic news! And PGS results already, seems fast?! So what does indeterminate mean can you explain that a little more? Keeping my fingers crossed for some more good news!
So 3 embryos were biopsied and frozen on Day 5 and the remaining 5 were biopsied and frozen on Day 6 which was Friday- so a total of 8 embabirs! So now I await the PGS results. I spoke with my Dr and the nurse about my FET and it seems like I’ll be xferring in about 40-50 days which lands some time in September- seems like a long while from now! Was hoping to xfer before school starts, but I guess not!
AFM: It took about 12 days to get my PGS results from day 6 freeze. Indeterminate means they couldn't replicate the DNA (probably the sample they took wasn't enough). Just basically that they have no idea whether it is normal or not, so it will just be the same as anyone else putting in an embryo untested (except I know the sex - F). Dr. doesn't mind because he said it is more unlikely that it will work if it is abnormal anyway, so we may as well try it.
My FET will depend on when THIS cycle starts and how quick I can talk to the genetic counselor. I expect my period sometime in the next week or so, so maybe it will work out for late July early August, otherwise, it will be late August-early September.

UPDATE: Genetic counselor scheduled for July 30th. Once we are done with that meeting, we can move forward with FET with the indeterminate girl and hopefully one of the abnormal embryos (likely one of the boys). The nurse said they MAY potentially recommend further genetic testing, but in my mind, it is pointless because I know this is more due to my age. I have 3 normal children already (and two of my m/c were due to the protein S deficiency I have and not chromosomal abnormalities) and so doing genetic testing will not give us any new information (this is what I will use as my excuse anyway)...We shall see what the Dr. says.

I am highly disappointed but not unexpected I guess. ONE of the embryos they said was "indeterminate" and could be tested again so I am going to ask they do that. I know it risks damaging the embryo, but it's worth a shot (unless he would just put that one in anyway). Worth asking.

On another note, since I stopped the estrogen pills/patches, my period came about 10 days early!! I don't know if stopping the estrogen caused it or not. If not, then this month for an FET would have been shot anyway (I was supposed to have my FET this Friday). That is now 2 cylces with MUCH shorter luteal phases than normal.

As we researched, there is a likelihood (small, but still) that the embryo could self-correct and end up in a normal state as the article that was shared above describes. It's worth a shot before spending another $10K on IVF#2. He said at my age, it may end up the same next time (with no normals), so why not try this first. He wants me to talk to a genetic counselor first so they can go over the risks (obviously if it works and the embryo didn't self-correct and I end up with a child with abnormalities). From there, we will start the next cycle. Praying hard here!!

So 3 embryos were biopsied and frozen on Day 5 and the remaining 5 were biopsied and frozen on Day 6 which was Friday- so a total of 8 embabirs! So now I await the PGS results. I spoke with my Dr and the nurse about my FET and it seems like I’ll be xferring in about 40-50 days which lands some time in September- seems like a long while from now! Was hoping to xfer before school starts, but I guess not!
@pathomer - Great news on having 8 to test!!
AFM: It took about 12 days to get my PGS results from day 6 freeze. Indeterminate means they couldn't replicate the DNA (probably the sample they took wasn't enough). Just basically that they have no idea whether it is normal or not, so it will just be the same as anyone else putting in an embryo untested (except I know the sex - F). Dr. doesn't mind because he said it is more unlikely that it will work if it is abnormal anyway, so we may as well try it.
My FET will depend on when THIS cycle starts and how quick I can talk to the genetic counselor. I expect my period sometime in the next week or so, so maybe it will work out for late July early August, otherwise, it will be late August-early September.
