Any thoughts about this cycle? No real thoughts, we started testing with the RE this cycle, just feeling hopeful in general that it will happen soon for us!
Any questions? nope
Rant/Rave/Brag: Rave: DS had such an amazing birthday weekend!! We took him and his friends and our close family (the grandparents) to a baseball game and he had such a great time! He got to throw out the first pitch too and nailed it!!
Rant: DS got sick on Saturday... came down with a random high fever (outside on a 90 degree day he was shivering!) Took him to urgent care and this kid has Strep again! 2nd time in 2 months. Ugh!
Extra fluff: Sorry I've been a little MIA - AF finally arrived on Saturday, what a relief! I did my CD 3 bloodwork and internal U/S yesterday and everything came back normal and looking good. Doc kept complimenting me on how beautiful my follicles looked haha .... My HSG is scheduled for this upcoming Monday so we will see how that goes. And DH did his SA this morning so we will have those results in a few days. He's really convinced that he's the reason we can't get KU. It breaks my heart hearing him say that and knowing that he thinks this often.
GTKY: What parenting tech/gadget can you believe our parents/grandparents raised kids without? GPS systems?!?
I'll be back for tags soon!

@BusinessWife Biting is completely normal at that age in daycare. One thing we did at home to help was completely stop all play/fake nibbling of toes, fingers, belly, etc. We got my parents and anyone else who spent regular time with DD to stop as well. The idea is that with the play nibbling being acceptable, she would bite sometimes not knowing the difference between play and actually biting. I think stopping our behavior helped. There were still biting incidents at daycare where she bit and was bitten, but it seemed to get better.
@kpearse99 Glad he had the awesome birthday, but sorry for the strep. I had an HSG before DS (got KU that cycle as did both my SILs when they did it). I didn’t think it was too bad, but I didn’t have a blocked tube. Hope yours goes well.
@varimama So glad he did good at his first movie!! I can't wait to see that one And maybe it was better off back in the day NOT being able to google every symptom! haha
@mokay19 what are hella bubbles?! I'm gonna have to look into these!
@MrsVP614 your family fun plans sound so awesome!! Also, sorry about the MIL comment... your LO is still so young, and there's no need for comments like that - esp. to a young one that won't even understand it!
@gingermama29 yay for the successful swim lesson!! They are so fun
@stassischroeder ohhhhh yes to not having to take rectal temps!!! Speaking of rectal.... what's up with your LO grabbing the dirty diaper?! Not cool kid!! hahaha Not cool. How did your testing go today...?!
@bows22 so glad the party went well! I was thinking about you and wondering if DD was having a blast Also, I really really wish we had a drive in around here, I think those are so cool and would be so fun for DS to experience!
@mercury94 your LO will get there - he's still young so the "no, mine" phase is still completely normal and natural. Although, I know how you feel when you're in the middle of it - but he'll get there! Good luck with your clomid cycle!! I'm excited for you
@shamrocandroll giiiiirl, I've been there on almost punting my kid out the window too! hahaha Was bedtime better last night?
@flinstone-2 it's good that O came earlier than last cycle, right?! Also, I don't really change up my routines at all. Like @varimama said, people get KU all the time without even knowing and do waaaay worse things than exercising and eating healthy haha. You do you, girl!
@BusinessWife I decreased my caffeine intake by starting cutting out some of the regular coffee I drank and replacing it with the decaf. So instead of a full cup of regular, do 3/4 regular and 1/4 decaf. And then go to 1/2 and 1/2 and then 3/4 decaf and 1/4 regular. That's where I left it, because I need/want some caffeine but it really helped to ease out of it and not experience any crazy side effects that some people feel when they go cold turkey!

@kpearse99 I’m glad that your baseline appt went well and hopefully that continues with your HSG next week! Also, LOL. When I said “hella bubbles” I meant like A LOT of bubbles. Example: “that cake has hella frosting on it” or “I am hella bloated on this progesterone” 😂

@kpearse99@mercury94 I don’t think it’s a young person thing haha definitely don’t consider myself “hip” since just last week I literally just learned from my younger sister about Instagram stories! It’s probably used in some movie or show because majority of what I say is from TV haha
@m6agua. thanks, that is a good tip, too. We can definitely try that and mention to SIL as well.
@mokay19 not really, more just a spacing thing to improve our chances of VBAC. I was under the impression it was 18mos between deliveries. She is saying 24. Hopefully we can find a happy medium for insurance reasons and get KU again before the end of the year at least. But she is really recommending closer to the 24m side, than the 18m side.
Needless to say, I'm pretty bummed and still taking some time to process it all. When she told me essentially wait till the New Year, I pretty much burst into tears and told her flat out -- I would NOT have gone back to work after my mat leave ended if I had been planning on not being able to transfer until the next calendar year anyway.
So she's willing to cut me some slack so this whole year back working with her in daycare doesn't have to be for nothing, but whereas the RE is like, "We're ready when you are!!!" Lol. I wish.
@kpearse99 I'm not sure whether last night's bedtime went any better because I ditched MH for bedtime and went out on the boat with a friend who was visiting from the West Coast. What I do know is he had 5 accidents out of nowhere yesterday, and had just had another one as we were leaving and I was like "Byeeeeee, good luck, love you!"

@BusinessWife sorry your OB isn’t on the same page but hopefully you can work together and agree to do something this calendar year. I understand the recommendations from doctors, but I also wouldn’t want to wait. Especially if your RE is ready to roll, I would personally think that trumps the OB. But maybe that’s my wishful thinking for you!
@kpearse99 I’m sorry your H is being so hard on himself. Hopefully his SA comes back totally fine. Keep us posted. And I hope your DS feels better. Poor kid, strep on your birthday weekend 👎🏻
@BusinessWife I’m sorry your appointment didn’t go as planned. Can you message your RE office and tell them what your OB said and get their thoughts? I am constantly doing that with DD’s doctors because no one is ever on the same page
also, plus one for thinking that “hella” bubbles were a brand. I was thinking that was an odd name for a kids toy hahah
@BusinessWife That is super frustrating that your timeline is being delayed would your OB rule you at as a vbac candidate if you don't follow her recommendation? I hope you are able to work something out.
I realized I never even posted my own check-in.
What number are you trying for?
Month/Cycle? 6/3/1 AL
WTO/TWW? TWW
Ages of other child(ren)? 1 😭
Any thoughts about this cycle? I'm hopeful, but trying not to get my hopes too high.
Any questions? Not currently
Rant/Rave/Brag: DS has been on and off sick with ear infections, which means he is getting up again at night after FINALLY sleeping through like a month ago it feels like. Its partially my fault because I forgot and stopped giving him his meds half way through last time. Oops. He started taking steps this week, so I will soon have a walker and I'm excited and nervous at the same time!!
Work has been insane lately, plus we are moving offices and have recently been acquired which is all just added work and an added microscope on my work. I leave for vacation to FL in 12 days (only 6 working days!!) And I cannot wait for the break.
GTKY: What parenting tech/gadget can you believe our parents/grandparents raised kids without? My vote is the video monitors. It's so nice to be able to check on DS. Especially when he starts groaning to see if he is actually up before we go in and wake him up.

@millpe congrats on the almost walking! It makes some things easier and some things harder. I will say that my DD was much happier and didn’t need to be attached to me constantly once she started walking, but that’s because she was discovering new fun ways to find danger 😂 so we upped our baby proofing. Do you have certain things you need to get done before vaca or is it more of a group effort that others will continue once you are off?
Any thoughts about this cycle? Just waiting to O and sexing just in case.
Any questions? None currently. I’m sure I’ll be chock full of them when I start dipping OPKs here soon.
Rant/Rave/Brag: I dropped a small wooden chair on my foot and it hurts so bad. Totally derails my run and HIIT schedule heading into a weekend where I am sure I’ll be indulging in quite a bit of food and booze.
GTKY: What parenting tech/gadget can you believe our parents/grandparents raised kids without? Internet/easy internet access ie smart phones/tablets/laptops/etc. We are so spoiled!
So I just got blindsided on social media and am going to dear diary about it here. Putting in a spoiler
There’s a girl that I was really close with “back in the day” but we kind of drifted apart after college because she moved across the country and her parents moved away from the area we grew up in. We have seen each other occasionally over the years and have been in touch more recently because our DDs are less than 2 weeks apart in age. I just opened Facebook to a birth announcement from her. She never even posted that she was pregnant. Pregnancy announcements don’t bother me really, maybe because being pregnant actually kind of sucks? But seeing pictures of her new baby without any warning felt like a gut punch. I really care about her and am so happy for her but ugh. I’m so jealous. I hate feeling this way.
To try to snap out of this mood I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a new BBT (the same one that I have from TTC DD but paying $8 to avoid trying to figure out what unpacked box it is in sounded like a better idea). It’s time to get serious haha.
@tyrion_ ugh that sucks about your foot! I had to google HIIT, which probably shows how clueless I am about working out. I hope you can get back at it soon!
@bows22 I have a few things I for sure need down before vacation, but most of my work is big picture project work or program improvements so dont have true "deadlines", but a lot SHOULD HAVE been done like last year plus now in the summer I have a lot of field visits, inspections, requests, that come in and side track me. Anything urgent will get handled by someone else, but most will just continue to pile up and wait for me.

@mokay19 Hope drop off went better today! I’m over here laughing at @kpearse99 looking into “hella bubbles.” It took me a minute to figure it out, too.
@MrsVP614 I am sure your son’s response to your MIL was, “Why, Nana, when stated that way you have persuaded me to stop using diapers. Thank you for that encouragement!” How annoying.
@shamrocandroll You are my kind of people ha. I have, no lie, said I wanted to punt my kids before (to my husband, not them; I’m not a monster 😂).
@flinstone-2 That’s pretty decent timing considering your O snuck up on you. I’m hoping OPKs do me a solid and give me a heads up as I have crazy variable O days.
@BusinessWife I’m so sorry about the disagreement with timing with your OB. I hope something can be worked out. I can’t imagine the extreme disappointment your feeling.
@bows22 oh, man. I’m guilty of this. We never announced our 2nd pregnancy on social media. And people who knew me/worked with me/ran into me while pregnant kept messaging us asking if she was here yet. So about a week later we posted about her arrival because we figured it was the easiest way to inform a lot of people all at once. I am so sorry this caught you off guard and you’re having a rough time with it.
@millpe I feel like I have been playing catch up since I came back from maternity leave so I hear you. Glad that there isn’t too much that absolutely has to get done before you leave.
@tyrion_ thank you. I think it affected me more because our DDs are the same age. There are 2 other people I know that had babies around the same time as me and are on to number 2. I just feel behind even though I know I’m not.
@mercury94 I know, right! And they also gave her a name that we considered using for DD. I just told DH the other day that I still liked the name so that made it even more unsettling. Ugh
I told DH that I ordered a new thermometer and he was like “what’s wrong with the one we have? OHHHHH a vagina thermometer. Got it.” 🙄😆
@bows22. (((Hugs))) I hear ya. Especially now that we may have to wait even tho otherwise we are ready, the baby fever is so strong! She's moving up into the bigger babies room, and I just want to hold all the little peanuts in her class before we leave!!! It's hard.
@tyrion_ I know some people don't track outside of using OPKs are rely solely on them so I'm hoping it'll work out. I actually don't mind using them. I found them infuriating with DS though. Hopefully my cycles will become more predictable. I think I read your O date shifts between ovulating ovary sides?
@tyrion_ first of all, love your name. Huge GOT fan here!! Sorry about your foot. That sounds awful! Are you using OPKs yet? I'm also all over the place with my cycles and needing to pin down when O happens.
@BusinessWife I'm sorry your timeline is delayed. That's so hard and frustrating.
@bows22 cracking up at YH with the vagina thermometer realization. Sorry about your friend blindsiding you with her announcement. I can imagine that was hard to see, especially since it was so unexpected.
gingermama29 before O I use pregmate every single morning. Once I get a positive pregmate I switch to confirm it with easy@home, CB advanced (not digital) and/or FRER Opk. The pregmate are a throw away brand for me and the cheapest, so I don't mind using them up. I don't specifically like pregmate because I had a fake out with a dark as line, but wondfo showed negative. I realized for pregmate I had to be much darker than control for a true positive. It's a lot of peeing on sticks, but after being anovulatory for 18 months PP (the first year I'll chalk up to BF) it works for me.
@bows22 Ugh, I'm so sorry. I can relate so hard to this. *TW
There's a mom from my first BMB who had her first at the same time as me, and she just found out she's KU with #3. So that's 2 additional babies in the amount of time I've been TFAS. I'm happy for her, especially since she struggled so much to have her first, but UGH. It hurts so much, and I hate that I can't just be happy for her.

@shamrocandroll I get that. It’s so hard to be happy for people when you’re struggling. The third child announcements always seem to hit me hardest. I think it’s because I always wanted 3 kids and I seriously doubt I’ll get there, because the TTC process is just not good for my mental state. I feel like I’ll be lucky if I get to 2 kids.
mercury94 same here. We used to want three, but I told DH I never want to go through this or feel this way again and we'd be so blessed to have another that I can accept only two just fine.
@kpearse99@mercury94 dang I had an HSG back in April and I did hear from several nurses you have slightly increased fertility for 3 months.. Well I'm just about out of time here.
@flinstone-2 Sorry. I do think it’s like anything else where the increased chance is still a negligible difference. Like I heard Clomid increases chances of twins and freaked out about that, but it is still a less than 10% chance.
Reading through this really made me realize I had some self serving intentions when I jumped back into TTGP after my loss in May. I’ve learned so much from the stories people have shared here over the years and It made me a better person. I am kind of embarrassed I didn’t stop and think, “self, you’re trying for round 4 (2 LC, 1 loss), maybe don’t participate and just wait for your BMB.” I wholeheartedly apologize for not thinking before participating and waving my history around in front of those that around struggling.
@flinstone-2 yep, that’s me with the ovaries that aren’t anywhere near the same page. Hoping for a shorter cycle this month.
@gingermama29 I haven’t started them yet. I plan to start dipping tomorrow on CD 10.
@tyrion_ A loss is devastating no matter when it happens, or how many LC you may have. Everyone's story is different. There will always be someone who has it worse than you, but that doesn't make your own struggles invalid. I'm happy you're here, and that you're learning from these wonderful ladies, like I am.

@tyrion_ I agree with @shamrocandroll. I haven’t had a loss, but I don’t think having a LC takes away from that loss. I can say that my LC is not taking away very much of the IF pain I’m going through. I feel like we all have as much right to the way we feel as anyone else.
@tyrion_ I agree that I don’t think there is any need for you to apologize about participating. Having kids doesn’t equate to not feeling pain. You are allowed to feel whatever and we’re here to support you!
@mercury94 I think that’s a good point. One of the things that I think triggered me with my friends post is that I’m assuming she had 2 close together because they are planning to have more, and I feel like the chance for more than 2 (if I’m even lucky enough to have another) is slipping away each month.
@shamrocandroll ugh I’m sorry too. That would be really hard to see.
@tyrion_ I can honestly say that I’ve never been triggered by anything you have said or thought that you shouldn’t be posting here or talk about your struggles, so please don’t feel that way. I think this was just a weird situation that hit a little too close to home.
Thanks, ladies. I apparently trigger over potentially triggering others. Most of this is from my sort of “fertile” guilt I experience irl. I have several close friends (Dealing with IF) that I have “lapped” in the kid department while they are just getting their first. And it just spilled over into here after reading through.
Thanks for listening to my rambles. I really do enjoy this forum and have enjoyed “meeting” many of you. I genuinely hope we all get to move on soon.
Anywayyy. What’s everyone planning to do this holiday weekend?

@BusinessWife Biting is completely normal at that age in daycare. One thing we did at home to help was completely stop all play/fake nibbling of toes, fingers, belly, etc. We got my parents and anyone else who spent regular time with DD to stop as well. The idea is that with the play nibbling being acceptable, she would bite sometimes not knowing the difference between play and actually biting. I think stopping our behavior helped. There were still biting incidents at daycare where she bit and was bitten, but it seemed to get better.

I was thinking about you and wondering if DD was having a blast

It’s probably used in some movie or show because majority of what I say is from TV haha
I wish.

Month/Cycle? 2/2 AL
WTO/TWW? WTO (CD 8)
Ages of other child(ren)? 4 & 2
To try to snap out of this mood I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a new BBT (the same one that I have from TTC DD but paying $8 to avoid trying to figure out what unpacked box it is in sounded like a better idea). It’s time to get serious haha.

Edit: posted too soon.

Got it.” 🙄😆

@BusinessWife I'm sorry your timeline is delayed. That's so hard and frustrating.

@tyrion_ I can honestly say that I’ve never been triggered by anything you have said or thought that you shouldn’t be posting here or talk about your struggles, so please don’t feel that way. I think this was just a weird situation that hit a little too close to home.
