Any thoughts about this cycle? Not feeling good about it, I’m testing tomorrow but don’t feel anything different. I know it’s early in trying I just have this feeling we aren’t going to get a second baby.
Any questions? Nope
Rant/Rave/Brag: we took DS to see his first movie in theaters Saturday! We saw Secret Life of Pets 2 and it was great. We went to a kid friendly showing at a place that had food so besides while he was eating DS talked to me the whole time 🤣. He whispered for the most part though saying things like “aww it’s a baby sheep, they’re going to go get him, awww baby puppies are sooo cute, etc...)
GTKY: What parenting tech/gadget can you believe our parents/grandparents raised kids without? Phones with internet! How did they survive not googling every symptom your child has before panicking and racing to the dr?

Rant/Rave/Brag: DD spent Saturday night with my parents and she was SO excited to do so! They played outside a lot and she got to play with hella bubbles aka her heaven. She’s still very exhausted this morning and daycare drop off was difficult

Any thoughts about this cycle? I was optimistic, but my temp dropped this morning. Testing tomorrow, so we'll see.
Any questions? Nah.
Rant/Rave/Brag: Rant: Besides the temp drop... MIL pissed me off yesterday. We went to Target, and when we were buying diapers MIL said to DS, “if you’d learn to use your potty, we wouldn’t need to keep buying diapers.” I said, “well he doesn’t even have a bathroom in his room at daycare yet, so we will worry about that once daycare is ready.” Back off lady. He's not even 2.
Rave: Trying to get excited for the family fun later in the week, and not think about the odds of a BFN. My parents will be here, and we're cooking out at my aunt and uncle's on Wednesday. Then we're trying to take DS to the zoo Thursday and hoping it won't be crowded for the holiday.
GTKY: What parenting tech/gadget can you believe our parents/grandparents raised kids without? Agree with @varimama and @mokay19 I wonder all the time how they survive without Google!
Also, honestly, the Bump. I feel like my BMB was so helpful, especially as a FTM. Knowing there are others in the exact same stage of life can go a long way. *TW*

Any questions? No
Rant/Rave/Brag: We started swim lessons with DD on Saturday and she did so well! She was pretty clingy in the water but by the end, she was kicking her feet, so I'm pretty happy. Looking forward to her swim lessons every Saturday this summer!
GTKY: What parenting tech/gadget can you believe our parents/grandparents raised kids without?
Video baby monitors. Being able to see her and check on her easily has given me so much peace of mind, especially right after we moved her into her own room. I don't know how they did it without one.
I agree with @MrsVP614 about TB. My BMB group is amazing and I am so grateful for their friendship, knowledge, and daily anecdotes.
@varimama sounds like such a fun first movie experience for your DS. Glad you all enjoyed it!
@mokay19 sorry that daycare drop off was rough, but glad your DD had fun with her grandparents!
@MrsVP614 oh that is such a throatpunch-worthy comment from your MIL. WTF.

We took the bedtime pacifier away Friday night and DS has done amazing these past 3 nights. I'm nervous for those nights when he's in molar teething pain, though.
GTKY: What parenting tech/gadget can you believe our parents/grandparents raised kids without?
I agree with Google and just the Internet in general. I'm in a couple mom groups on Facebook and those have been great, too.

Any questions? nah
Rant/Rave/Brag: DS is speeding toward full toddlerness lol. This weekend I took him to Panera (we go on mommy/son lunch dates every other week because DH works) and I was feeling smug because he remained relatively clean and didn't make much of a mess. Cue DS randomly flinging yogurt on everything within a 5 ft radius *facepalm*. And he's also taken to thinking it's REALLY FUNNY to try to grab his dirty diaper when I'm changing him - like reaches down under his butt to grab the back of the diaper. He successfully grabbed a fully loaded diaper while I was changing him yesterday and it was a definite pooptastrophe.
GTKY: What parenting tech/gadget can you believe our parents/grandparents raised kids without? Agree with smartphones/internet, but also temporal/ear thermometers. I can't imagine trying to take a baby's temp a million times a day or night while they're sick, and having to do it rectally or clamp it in their armpit for 60+ seconds.
________
@varimama totally relate to your thoughts on this cycle. *hugs* also, super cute that DS talked to you through the movie
@mokay19 so cool DS got to spend Saturday night with her grandparents and have a ton of bubble fun
@MrsVP614 OMG STFU MIL! I'd love to know if her kids were potty trained before 2! Although she'd probably just say "yes" even if it weren't true. And totally agree that I would've been lost without the bump and the ladies from my first stint in TTGP!
@gingermama29 so cool about the swim lessons! I wish they offered that in my area!

@varimama DS’s movie experience sounds so sweet. I’m going to have to see if any places around here have kid friendly showings. I have my fingers crossed for you tomorrow.
@mokay19 I’m glad your DD had fun at your parents! My DD loves going to my parents house too and is so sad when we pick her up. That part kind of sucks but it definitely makes it easier to go out when I know how much fun they are all going to have together.
@mrsvp614 I’m glad you said something to your MIL about the potty training. I usually freeze up and regret it later but there is nothing wrong with not being potty trained yet! It would be more out of the ordinary if he was potty trained at that age I think? I would have been annoyed too. Your story about your mom is crazy. She must be so strong.
@gingermama29 totally agree on video monitors. I would probably be in DD’s room 10 times a night (and waking her up in the process)

Any thoughts about this cycle? Not that hopeful. I don’t like our timing.
Any questions? None this week!
Rant/Rave/Brag: We had such a great weekend. We went to the drive in and saw Toy Story. We never pick a movie for a date night activity so it’s been forever since we’ve seen a new movie shortly after it came out. DD fell asleep on the way there and stayed asleep until there was about an hour left in the movie. She sat so nicely and watched the rest with us. She gave us a little trouble going to bed when we got home but nothing major so we may try that again later this summer. Our fireworks party also went great and DD absolutely loved having all of the other kids there. There were 2 babies and she kept going over and hugging them and saying “hi baby” which made my uterus cry a little. But other than that it was a great weekend and a great distraction from TTC.
GTKY: Google for sure. Also having a phone to be able to hand to DD if I need her to sit still for a second is invaluable. Even just in the house if I need to use the bathroom or something. Makes life so much easier.
@mokay19 Those weekend recoveries are tough! FX daycare puts her back on her normal routine/schedule!
@MrsVP614 Ugh, sorry about the annoying remarks from MIL. I had the opposite issue. We started right after he turned 2, and my mom kept making comments about how early it was. Every kid is different!
@gingermama29 Video monitors are my answer too!
@stassischroeder Toddler-hood is sooooo much fun (she says with a straight face, and not sarcastically at all)
@bows22 Ugh, DS is obsessed with babies and it kills me inside every time. Glad you had a good movie date and fireworks party, though!

Any thoughts about this cycle? We had a crazy week, so not sure how I'm feeling about it.
Any questions? Not really.
Rant/Rave/Brag: Crazy week, and I missed 2 days of my FW because we were staying with my parents for MH's cousin's services. I also forgot to bring my BBT and OPKs. I dunno, maybe not obsessing over all that will be helpful. I can hope, right? DS is all out of whack from running around all over the place last week. Last night during bedtime, he was reeeeally awful. He hit me like 6 times yesterday, then while going potty decided to full on put his whole arm down into the toilet and then laugh at me and continue doing it when I scolded him. I went outside and found MH and told him "your turn to deal with bedtime, because I'm about to punt him out a window." (I would obviously never, but I diffuse anger with (sometimes inappropriate) humor)
GTKY: What parenting tech/gadget can you believe our parents/grandparents raised kids without? Definitely video monitors! Also just the internet in general. I don't know what I would have done without my first BMB!

@mokay19 Sorry you’re not feeling hopeful and that dropoff was so tough. It is nice that she had fun with the grandparents, though.
@MrsVP614 WTF, MIL? That’s ridiculous. Also, starting before the kid is ready doesn’t seem like a good idea anyway. It totally made it harder with my niece. Hope you have a great time with the holiday.
@gingermama29 Those swim lessons sound so fun. Enjoy. I hope your O timing works out.
@Kathryn0903 Way to go with the bedtime paci! That’s our next terrifying hurdle. Hope it keeps going well.
@stassischroeder I’m over here still being optimistic for you. Also, aren’t toddlers super fun? DS went through a similar phase of trying to play with poopy diapers. The thermometer was a good one. Can’t even imagine doing that rectally all day long.
@bows22 It is so cute that your DD loves babies. Kind of makes my uterus cry too, though. Glad you had such a good drive-in date. Sounds so fun.
@shamrocandroll Sorry you missed part of the FW. Sucks when life messes up timing. Also, really sorry about the crappy bedtime last night. It’s so hard when they don’t want to cooperate.

@varimama I’ve been wanting to take my DS to a movie lately too! It’s cute he’s following with the movie at least!
MrsVP614 a lot of people have asked us about potty training DS too. I just feel he’s a little on the young side right now!
gingermama29 just curious with your username. Are you a ginger or is your DD? or both? I’m glad swim is going well. We did “water acclimation” classes with DS back in March… I was so glad when it was over lol
@kathryn0903 i’m sorry you don’t think it’s the month. But glad you are ok with it.
@stassischroeder so did you watch Jax and Brittany’s wedding coverage all over the internet? Or are you actually a VPR fan ?I just assume by the username
@bows22 I hate our timing this cycle too. But last cycle we had perfect timing and still nada so who knows..
@mercury94 did you have any side effects last round of Clomid? What is your dose?

Any thoughts about this cycle? I feel like our timing was crap. O really snuck up on me. Thank god I pee on OPKs every morning because last cycle O was CD33 and this cycle it was CD25. I didn't really get much of a heads up so we most likely only hit -4, -1 and O. (which i feel like -4 doesn't even count)
Any questions? Do you change anything during the TWW? I'll have a few drinks, but I was in a yoga class this morning wondering if any of these postures and bends would affect my chances.. but I think that's probably crazy talk.

@bows22 did you like toy story? Hoping it’s at the drive in still in a couple weeks when we’re planning on going! Also my DS loves babies too and it breaks my heart. Sometimes he comes up to me and says “I need a baby” 😭
@mercury94 social skills are so hard at this age. I feel like my guy just ignores all his “friends” and does what he wants
@shamrocandroll sorry about missing part of your FW and for a rough bedtime. I hope things start to get back to normal for you this week!
@flinstone-2 -1 and O is pretty great timing! I have thought of that with exercising too. There are definitely some non pregnancy friendly moves in my current program but I’ve been doing them bc I figure some people don’t even realize they’re pregnant until after they miss a period but idk now that I think about it I’m worried I’ve messed things up 🤷🏻♀️😬

@stassischroeder gaah that pooptastrophe sounds awful. DD occasionally tries to grab her diaper while I'm changing her and I fear for similar experiences that you had. Usually a book will distract her enough to finish up the change though.
@shamrocandroll sorry you missed part of FW. And that last night's bedtime sounds rough. Hopefully it'll go more smoothly tonight!
The bedtime paci wasn't too bad to take away. Friday, we were out all day and DS was so tired he didn't ask for a paci. I figured it was worth just going for it then.
@mercury94 i hear you. My RE wants me on 100mg of clomid once we commit to his plan. It seems excessive and I just keep hearing horror stories of the side effects
@varimama that's how I'm choosing to think about it too, people dont know until they find out half the time. I can't live my life pregnant before I actually am... that would suck! aha
DS born 9.17

@mercury94 thanks for commiserating with my sad uterus 👎🏻 As for your DS and sharing, maybe it was too overwhelming if it was crazy. I noticed that DD did great with her cousin yesterday until her cousin started taking toys from DD. Then I think she panicked and wouldn’t let her have anything. It was hard for me to figure out what to do because I didn’t really blame her. But I’m sure your DS (and my DD) get lots of practice sharing at daycare so hopefully that will help.
@shamrocandroll I’m glad last week is behind you (aside from the fallout with DS) hopefully he gets back into his routine soon.
@flinstone-2 I agree with you about -4 not counting. I know technically it does but if DH’s swimmers were that strong/my body had a great environment for sperm, it wouldn’t be taking so long to get pregnant? Also for your question I haven’t been changing anything. Other than testing on days I want to have a drink if I’m at least 9 DPO. DD and I go to mommy and me yoga and I have still been doing everything but it’s not exactly strenuous so it might not be a good comparison.
@varimama yes I really liked toy story! I told DH I wanted to see it before I saw a spoiler online and then he accidentally ended up giving something away on the car ride there. 😒 But it was still really entertaining. DH liked it too, even though I know it wouldn’t have been his first choice.
@bows22 Yeah. I think he gets overwhelmed. He does fine with his cousin and I’ve seen him share toys at church, but he was clearly not in a sharing mood yesterday.

@bows22 Cutting molars is the worst! DD cut all 4 of her first molars at once! That was a rough month and a half. I feel like I should've bought stock in Motrin. Not looking forward to when her second molars arrive, but hopefully I've got several months before that. Also that's adorable about your DD hugging the other babies and saying hi, but I can definitely understand that hurting too.
@flinstone-2 I have to admit that I'm a bad VPR fan lately! I've been stalking IG for updates and photos, but I didn't watch the live stream! I can say that I wasn't a huge fan of her dresses. Neither of the two that I saw wowed me.
@varimama I might have to use your phone trick during diaper changes! No shame in my screen game lol.

Meeting with Ob and one of the midwives for pre-conception consults today and next Tuesday. Hoping everyone is on the same page Re: sibling spacing and VBAC.
Ages of other child(ren)? 9m + 10d
Any thoughts about this cycle? Well, one month closer to transfer... just kind of mind blowing to think how soon we could be pregnant again, or PASP. Wondering if there's more I could be doing diet / supplement wise? Like cutting out coffee. :s ughh lol. I'm already taking prenatalssss and DHA, plus 2000 D, 400 E and Calcium, but I was thinking about my RRL tea and like, beet root, Brazil nuts, avocados, pom juice, PINEAPPLE CORE lmao bring on the implementation wives' tales (as long as they are safe.) Mostly just trying to use my last bit of time before getting KU again to drop a few more lbs.
Any questions? At what age do you talk to the older sibling about the baby coming? Like how much can an 18ish mo understand even once you're showing? I know we're not there tho yet lol
Rant/Rave/Brag: So, I'm down a couple more lbs, for 35 total! Woo hoo! Also, my kid is moving up this week into the bigger babies room. She was there a couple hours today, and did well "emotionally" -- EXCEPT SHE BIT A KID!!! :s Not thrilled. I haven't spoken to them yet in person, but aptly the kids mom is a STM (of a biter) so maybe she's cool? WTF :/

@stassischroeder @shamrocandroll I think she was exhausted since she would normally be sleeping so she was okay with just sitting on our laps. And it was dark so she didn’t realize that running around was an option. So basically I think the drive in is our only chance of getting to see a movie again anytime soon haha. I don’t know if you guys have drive in movies near you but it was a lot of fun! I recommend giving it a shot!

Trying wise, I guess the doctor was more conservative than I might have hoped. I want to do what's best but I'm so anxious toget this show on the road!!! I suppose we will have to strike a balance and try to just savor what will eventually be the last of our solo time with S... that feels a little bittersweet right there.
@mokay19 so fun for your DD to get time with the grandparents! Did you do anything fun for your kid free night?
@MrsVP614 sounds like you have a fun weekend planned! Hopefully you don't get a bfn, but if you do I hope it doesn't spoil your weekend.
@gingermama29 sorry if I missed it, but what is surgery for?
@stassischroeder your pooptrasophy reminded me that I always put DS down for nap with pants on now. A couple weeks ago I put him down with just a diaper and when H went to go get him, DS handed him his diaper. Thankfully it was only wet 🤣
@bows22 I wish we had a drive in near us! That sounds so fun with your DD.
@mercury94 I worry a little about DS's social skills since he isnt in daycare. Currently he is with my niece (4 months older than him) 3 days a week, but my sister is moving. I'm going to need to find something to make sure he is around kids and learns to share!
@shamrocandroll sometimes I have to remind myself that stressing over little things I cant change will not make things any better, and could potentially make things worse. I hope you still got good timing and I'm glad you were able to be there for Hs extended family. I'm sure getting back into a routine will help your DS.
@flinstone-2 I dont change up anything during TWW. After TTC a year for DS I decided I would apply the concept of "drink until its pink" to all aspects of my life.
@BusinessWife great job on the weight loss!! Anything in particular you are doing? I'm still hanging on to 15 lbs of baby weight + 15 lbs of a year of TTC weight so its not good! I've been working out consistently for a month now and have gained 2 lbs 🙁 so I guess I need to do something about my nutrition.

@millpe we went to a house/condo warming party in Chicago! The party was a blast, however, we basically got stuck in the city on Sunday because of the Pride parade so we were out much later than we originally hoped and planned.
