  • @shamrocandroll:  I'm so so sorry about your awful week and your scary ER trip.  Sent you a pm.

  • I'm so late and it's only Tuesday! I'm going to try and catch up on tags if I can.
lcking82  way to go getting invites out!
shamrocandroll I'm so sorry about your ER visit. Hopefully your luck can turn around
kpearse99  sorry about the BFN, but glad you have a little more insight.
millpe  happy birthday to your DS and happy birthday to you @mercury94
MrsVP614  we used preseed for TTC with DS so I'm a fan
millpe  I had the same issue with OPKs this month. I literally went from zip nada to very positive! Our timing will suck this cycle I feel like i had no warning.
mokay19 I'd hold off on saying two for as long as I could too. Two is hitting me harder than one.
puppylove8910 I love all the talking DS is doing too! It is mind blowing and so fun
@WorkingOnMyNightCheese I SS like a crazy woman when I'm in the TWW.
BusinessWife  hope the SHG goes well! Except I think it happened. Idk I am so behind trying to catch up!
silly_goose how do you like the age gap of #1 and #2?
@stassischroeder definitely didnt pickle the egg! Everyone tells me to get drunk and BD to help me "relax"

  • @flinstone-2 I honestly thought the age gap was perfect. If my second DD hadn't had so many issues/require so much attention, I might have wanted a similar spacing with #3. I found going from 1 kiddo to 2 significantly easier than 0-1 even with all the work #2 turned out to be. If she was my 1st child, I may have been OAD lol. DD1 was more patient and fairly independent by the time her little sis came around. She also didn't have a lot of jealousy issues so that helped a lot (I got a lot of warnings of not leaving her alone with her sister/ she might hurt her etc. and that was never a problem). Now they play together (make massive messes but at least they're happy) and obviously enjoy each other's company despite the 2 year gap. I feel like I have a lot more time on my hands (to BUMP for example) while DD1 entertains DD2.

@MrsVP614 your morning chats with your DS sound so sweet! I hope the bladder scope went OK

@kpearse99 ugh so sorry about the BFN. But maybe @mercury94 is right and it’s still just to early (I’m an eternal optimist when it comes to everyone else’s cycles apparently)

@stassischroeder that’s great that he can walk around with the other kids. I know that will make you like the daycare more too.

@m6agua that’s a good point, I can just temp later. I act like I sleep in or something but DH usually wakes up close to his normal time and rustles around so much that I’m up by 6 anyway so it’s not like it would be so much later.

@shamrocandroll I teared up reading your story about your DS. That’s so scary and your poor H. Is he feeling better about it now? I’m glad your DS bounced back quickly though. Will he go with you for the funeral?

@lcking82 DH is so hard to buy gifts for. I think for his last birthday I bought him a bottle of bourbon that he wouldn’t normally get because it’s more expensive. Boring. He likes to make drinks so sometimes I will get him bar stuff.

@flinstone-2 when I temped I usually O’d the same day as my darkest OPK but I feel like from chart stalking here it’s usually a day or 2 after the first positive. So there’s probably a good chance it won’t be today?

I have to take DD to the dentist this morning...pray for me. They won’t weigh her at the dentist right? That’s usually what sets her off into a downward spiral.

  • bows22  yeah! I woke up like 2 hours early and had to pee so I took my temp early, but it was low and even if I adjusted with one of those calculators we shouldn't use it was definitely not spiking yet so I think today is O day.

  • Omg lots of good news on here @BusinessWife and @MrsVP614!!

@shamrocandroll so sorry about your ER trip. Can't stop all the falls with toddlers, and I hope YH has forgiven himself too.

@bows22 we've never gotten weighed at the dentist. Last time I took DD she actually did okay, and let the dentist poke around in her mouth a tiny bit. Hope it goes well! Report back.
  • bows22bows22 member
@jennifer_louise thank you! They didn’t weigh
her, but they asked me 1 million questions before they got started so DD had plenty of time to look around and figure out that we were at a doctor’s office. They did a cleaning and exam, DD cried/thrashed around/etc but they got it done quickly which is the key thing. She’s had a couple of mouth surgeries and she could potentially have missing teeth/overcrowding/nerve damage but they said so far everything looks perfect!
  • @flinstone-2 the pre-O OPK/Temp math and speculations are the worst. I (we) usually fall into the trap of BDing like crazy too far in advance, and then having trouble BDing enough when it counts.

@MrsVP614 so glad the scope was clear! It sucks that it was so uncomfortable for him (I can't only imagine  :s ) but I'm glad you guys had a nice dinner afterwards!

@bows22 glad the dentist experience wasn't too bad! FFWC: I need to start brushing DS's teeth...

  • DS is a weirdo and loves going to the doctor and dentist.  Sometimes he asks to go.  He thought the ER was the most fun thing ever the other day.  🤦‍♀️  But... he also hasn't had any shots since his 18 month appointment, which was over a year ago, so he doesn't remember.  I'm sure things will change the next time he needs a shot or blood draw.

  • @BusinessWife what amazing news!!!

@MrsVP614 what a relief for you and YH!!  So glad all is good on that front!

@bows22 Glad the dentist went better than expected! And I'm overly optimistic about everyone else's cycles but my own too haha That being said, maybe it's too early to tell but who knows?  If I did O later, even like a week later than what the OPK's were giving me, our timing would have only been once before O and once right after... so....no bueno!  I'm also so frustrated because of the symptoms and timing of them that I have... I had cramps last Friday (a day after AF was supposed to arrive) and my breasts started to get tender and full this past Saturday and they still are (now 6 days after AF should have been here).  I'm moody and emotional and I fell asleep on the couch at 9 last night the second I sat down.  So like, WTF are these symptoms here for if I'm not KU and AF isn't arriving?  This is the part that is the most frustrating for me.

@flinstone-2 I'm not an OPK expert, as I only started using them this past cycle, but I thiiiiiink it's 12-24 hours after you get a blazing that you O.  So if you HIO again tomorrow and the next day you should be covered!

@stassischroeder we aren’t great about brushing DD’s teeth but the hygienist seemed impressed with how they looked so it obviously isn’t totally necessary to be consistent about it. It’s just not something I’m willing to fight with her about right now so if she wants to “do it herself” (aka eat the toothpaste) I just let her. Hopefully it gets easier someday when she understands reason?

@shamrocandroll that gives me hope that maybe DD won’t hate the doctor/dentist someday!

@kpearse99 I’m sorry for the limbo! Did they give you a # for HCG or just say you weren’t pregnant? And did you test again today because I don’t know how you are resisting haha
  • @bows22 they didn't give me an HCG number, but then again, I didn't ask either.... they just said I wasn't pregnant but my hormone levels indicate I had ovulated and to call back in a week and half if AF still hasn't arrived because maybe it was too early to know.  And I did not test again hahaha I guess I just know I'm not pregnant, ya know?  Like, just a gut feeling or whatever.  Maybe I'll test again over the weekend if AF still hasn't graced me with her presence.

Going to try attempt #477588599498584 to potty train my daughter the next few days. Already off to a great start (sarcasm). She threw a fit about wanting to wear her diaper. Ugh. This is the worst.

  • @silly_goose Godspeed.  The first 3 days are the absolute worst, and we still have the occasional regression, but it will get easier!  I made potty training kickoff day a big event and had lots of fun activities planned that he wouldn't normally get to do, and that helped keep him distracted from the fact he wasn't wearing clothes/a diaper (if that's the method you're using).  We painted, watched movies, had a dance party, did crafts, playdough, etc.  It was actually kin dof a nice bonding weekend, minus the anxiety on my part, haha.  Good luck!!!
