@m6agua so sorry to hear about being benched. Hopefully that time goes by smoothly for you and all the right things fall into place with your body!
@BusinessWife FX so hard that you don’t need surgery before this transfer and it’s just easy peasy! I just had my repeat saline the week before last and have to schedule a hysteroscopy. Is that the surgery that you had last time?
@mokay19 what a great kid free trip. I’m sure you did miss her though! I’m glad you had fun and I’m sure she will get back on track soon. And that’s awesome that you didn’t miss FW!
@jennifer_louise that’s awesome that your DD was a good sharer! Mine is good with neutral toys but not so much with her own. I really want her to have fun at our party so I hope that she can keep her emotions in check. I know your DD is a little older but any tips?
@varimama I’m glad he pulled off the ring bearer job! that’s so sweet. his game afterwards sounds so cute too. Seems like a great day!
@shamrocandroll I commented in WTO on your TW but ❤️. I think I’d be bored if I didn’t work either, I would only quit my job if I could find somewhere to volunteer where I felt I was really making a difference. Also I get the phantom kicks too, I think I’ve had them ever since I gave birth to DD. Wtf are they? Thank you for asking though because I always thought I was totally losing it but it seems like a lot of people have them!
@kpearse99 I have so many questions/comments for you....first wtf is going on with your cycle. second how cool is it that your DS is throwing out the first pitch?!? Even at a minor league game that’s pretty cool. third what is the show you are auditioning for?? (Saw you answered elsewhere but Break a leg!)
@tyrion_ I play the “x due date would be better anyway” game too. I’m glad it’s helping you! I also like your lottery $ plan of hanging out with family all day.
@mercury94 ahhh I don’t know how you are holding out on testing. Do you think you will soon? Your DS and the wheels on the bus warmed my heart too!
@stassischroeder yay I’m so glad that walking made your DS more content! That happened with DD too. Any sign that he is out of pack & play purgatory now? Also I saw your comment in TWW about thirst as a symptom, that happened to me with DD too and now every cycle part of my SS is “am I thirsty because I have been too lazy to go get more water or am I KU?”
@silly_goose I think your watermelon candle + new toy idea is perfect. My DD would love that birthday and I’m sure yours will too!
@WorkingOnMyNightCheese that’s so awesome that your DD is all caught up. I love your GTKY answer and love the thought of having the ability to make things a little easier for people who walk the path after you!
@puppylove8910 I’m on board with your 7/4 connection! And yes this thread is crazy. I was lurking a little this afternoon and refused to click on this thread but kept seeing the reply count go up.
@m6agua so so sweet about your DD and the dance floor. Glad you guys had so much fun! And yes I agree that totally avoiding to wait until your body is perfect doesn’t seem practical. It’s nice there is a plan though!
Any thoughts about this cycle? If this isn’t the one, I’m going to start temping. I really don’t want the 5 AM wake up on the weekends but maybe I can skip those unless it’s a crucial temp.
Any questions? None this week!
Rant/Rave/Brag: We’re having a party this weekend for our community fireworks - it started out as immediate family and has evolved to include most of our friends. There will be 8 kids between 6 months - 5 years old so it may be slightly chaotic but fun! We are always busy with family stuff so we haven’t seen our friends in forever so it will be nice to get everyone together.
GTKY: Assuming this is like a mega jackpot, I’d do all the things like hire a lawyer, charity, buying a new house, taking care of family, but I’d also quit my job and ideally volunteer at our children’s hospital holding babies at night. I don’t know if that’s a thing anywhere but it should be one. They don’t really make it so that parents can sleep in our NICU and my only regret from our time there was that I know there were times that DD was crying and a nurse couldn’t get to her right away. It kills me to think about now.
I can't keep up on here, but know that I am reading and cheering everyone on!
What number are you trying for? 2
Month/Cycle? 6/3/1AL
WTO/TWW? WTO
Ages of other child(ren)? 1 tomorrow 😭
Any thoughts about this cycle? My OPK decided to go from low yesterday to peak today and we completely skipped high. Told H to wake me up when he gets home since I'm a believer in -1 timing.
Any questions? Nah
Rant/Rave/Brag: Tomorrow is DS's birthday! We had a low key party yesterday with our families. He is totally spoiled. Tomorrow I will cut out early from work when H gets off at 2 and have a family afternoon. Not sure what yet, just want to spend it together.
GTKY: (stolen from the IF thread) - if you won the lottery, what would you do with the money? I would pay off Hs student loan debt, probably buy our dream house and a house on a beach. Put away some for future college expenses. And invest.
Me: 31 DH: 34 Married: April 2016 TTC December 2016 BFP 2/28/17 // CP 3/1/17 MFI Diagnosis: Aug 2017 BFP 11/1/17 // DS born 6/18 TTC January 2019 BFP 3/21/19 // D&C (MMC) 5/8/19
@millpe happy birthday to your DS! I know you didn’t ask for ideas but when you said family afternoon it reminded me that we did a “daycation” around DD’s first birthday and this was one of our activities
@mokay19. Oof, I'msorry. I know its nbd, but it's one more thing. I had to take an extra cycle before transfer for other Hysteroscopy + Polypectomy last time. :s how soon are they able to get you in / move forward with the rest of your treatment? Remind me, are you having fet as well?
@tyrion_ I will PM you when i get a chance tomorrow ;)
@millpe Happy birthday to your DS. As far as I can tell, he has the perfect birthday. (Mine is tomorrow and I always loved that it was almost exactly 6 months after Christmas because I always had new toys).
Finally catching up here! @mokay19 Welcome back from vacation! Glad to see you back on this thread! @shamrocandroll I'm so sorry for your loss I'm also glad to know that I'm not alone in being crazy and feeling phantom baby kicks! @kpearse99 I hope your audition went well! @stassischroeder Yay for your little walker! And that would be QUITE the conception story! @puppylove8910 I'm hoping for a BFP July 4th. FF says that's when I should test, and I got DS's BFP on Christmas Eve, so the holiday theme would be awesome! @BusinessWife GL today!
@BusinessWife no, we’re just doing oral meds, trigger, progesterone, and an IUI if the timing works out. There was just some “unexplained tissue” during my SHG so she wants to do the hysteroscopy to see what it is. If I’m not pregnant this cycle, then I’ll go on BC for a couple weeks to do the surgery after my period. And then we’ll move forward with whatever comes from that. Good luck today!!
Ages of other child(ren)? 22 months Any thoughts about this cycle? We added OPKs and pressed this cycle. Timing was good, so I’m optimistic!
Any questions? Nope!
Rant/Rave/Brag: Rant: I’m going to DH’s appointment for a bladder scope today and hoping everything is okay. DS is getting his canine teeth, so he’s so slobbery and chewing his crib again like a damn beaver! He’s also in the “MINE!” phase, so that’s fun. Brag: DH has started calling me in the AM when DS is getting ready, so I get to chat with him while I’m at work and I just love it! I love having actual conversations with him now.
GTKY: (stolen from the IF thread) - if you won the lottery, what would you do with the money? I’d like to think “when” I win the lottery. 😉 I would also hire a lawyer and keep it secret. I’d be boring and pay my mountain of student loan debt and other bills, then buy a home on some land, buy a minivan 🤣 and take DH and DS to Disney, since they’ve never been.
@m6agua I'm so sorry you're having to be benched and for that long. Hopefully it will help you rest your mind though, not having to stress so much about this whole process. Maybe it will help reset everything and give you really great luck once you are un-benched!
@bows22 I have no idea what's going on with my cycle. It has been so nice for the last 7 months to be regular and now to be hit with this... ugh. I did a blood draw this morning though with my RE to see where I am in my cycle and I'll know the results this afternoon. sigh. DS is really excited for his party on Sunday! And the show I auditioned for last night is the musical Catch Me If You Can (based on the movie). I auditioned for the part that Amy Adams played in the movie. I'll know this week if I made the callbacks! As for you.. that weekend party you are having sounds like it will be a blast!! The little ones will have so much fun, I am sure!
@millpe yay for June birthdays!! Happy birthday to your DS! And goodluck tonight with HIO!!
@mercury94 I can't remember if I said it already, or in the TWW thread, but happy birthday to you too!!

@m6agua I'm so sorry that you're benched, but good for you for getting your health on track. I hope the treatment plan is just what you need and that you're back TTC (and KU) before you know it!
@bows22 yes! I think he gets to toddle around more now that he's a steadier walker, thank god. When I dropped him off today his daycare provider was like "do you wanna go follow (other daycare kiddo) around"? So that gives me hope lol. And yeah, I was SUPER thirsty early in 1st trimester, but certainly not 3 DPO early lol. At this point its more likely to be a sign of diabetes or something Also, I've considered spending the $$$ on Ava just to avoid the pain-in-the-ass that is temping. And GOOD CALL on the holding babies at night at the hospital. I would definitely volunteer for that if that's a thing.
Thanks everyone. I am a little bummed about being on the bench, since it just makes the future age gap that much bigger, but overall I'm ok. I'm just glad it isn't longer, although, it still could be if the treatment doesn't work.
@varimama The dance floor is loud. DD has been to several weddings in her 2.5 years, I've always had the noise canceling headphones on her. But of course I forgot them for this one, she did great though. The experience is much different, but I actually like it, probably because there is always family there to help with DD.
@bows22 You may not need to wake up on the weekends to temp. I just temp when I wake up on any given day (between 5-7) and even though my chart is rocky and has open circles, I can still see the overall shift, especially combined with tracking my CM. Your party sounds like it will be fun. We basically have a similar party every July 4th. We are going to get our fireworks this Friday and our show will be on the 6th. I cannot wait.
@mercury94 Happy birthday tomorrow! I agree with you about the toys! My birthday is on Saturday.
@MrsVP614 That is so cute about the phone calls. You will be amazed in the next 10 months how much more your LOs vocabulary will explode. Like I had a legit full on conversation with my DD the other day. Even though toddlers are hard, it is a really fun age. I hope your H's appointment goes well.
@m6agua ah that makes sense with family helping. This was for my side of the family who I’m not super close to besides my cousin (the bride) and her mom so they were quite busy so it was on DH and I and I’ll be honest he wanted me and was pretty awful for DH since I had been away doing the getting ready and photos. Oh well. It was still fun just different since we mostly had SS off to the side playing and left early instead of closing out the dance floor

@varimama Oh, dear. It sounds like he has built a whole story in his head around conceiving this cycle, haha! Men are so funny. My husband always thought we would make an appointment at a fertility center and that would be the month wr would get pregnant. So, since we made the appointments he is currently in Las Vegas, thinking I am pregnant. Maybe I am even waiting to tell him until he gets back, poor thing.

For those that have been following - I just got my blood work results... still a BFN, as I expected but it still stings to hear, and my estrogen and progesterone are elevated with indicated I did ovulate (just maybe later than expected) so they anticipate AF will arrive in about a week. I'm to call them when it does arrive or if she doesn't make an appearance in a week and a half to repeat the blood work. Still just a waiting game for me then, in this never ending TWW!

I haven't really gotten to check in today. Our crazy, awful week got more awful. We had to take DS to the ER last night after he bumped his head on the hardwood floor while dancing with the puppy. It didn't seem like it was anything more than a normal bump on the head, but then about 4 minutes later he started to fall asleep and we couldn't keep him awake. Then a little while later, the threw up twice. So, off to the ER we went. He's doing okay now, so they think it was only a mild concussion, but holy scary. I've seen MH cry like maybe 3 times in his life, and seeing DS like that got to him last night. He felt terrible because it was on his watch, but I kept telling him it was not his fault and these things happen with toddlers. We can't put them in bubbles. DS did so well at the hospital, even though it was waaaay past his bedtime. By the time we were leaving, he was strutting past everyone, waving like a celebrity. MH and I were like "This child of ours..." We all got to bed late, and then we had to wake up DS in the middle of the night to make sure he was responsive. He seems to be back to normal today. I'm at work, dragging, and MH is home with him. We have to leave Thursday afternoon for MH's cousin's funeral. I'm already so exhausted this week, and it's only Tuesday. I'm definitely missing the bachelorette party this weekend, and all of this is definitely going to throw a wrench into our timing this cycle (go figure... I'm going into my FW now). Our fridge is still not working, either. I need a drink. Preferably a cold one from a working fridge. And a nap.

@shamrocandroll oh my goodness that is so much to deal with! I’m so sorry. I’m glad your DS is alright now but I hear you on how scary it is. I had to take my DS once bc I suspected a concussion. He didn't have one but still has a scar from a gnarly head wound from it. It was the worst. I blamed myself so bad but looking back now there was nothing I could have done, he was just goofing around and lost his footing in the exact wrong place. Hope your H can forgive himself.

@shamrocandroll I’m sorry you’re having such a tough week. That’s hard. All ER trips with the littles are terrifying. Glad it seems like a minor concussion, but that doesn’t make it less scary.

@shamrocandroll damn girl, the universe needs to give you a break. I'm so glad DS is ok and did well at the hospital, but it's always super stressful when they get hurt. Take this week one day at a time and make sure you're taking care of yourself, too!
Thanks ladies. This was certainly not his first head bump and it didn't even seem like the worst one when it happened, but turned out to be so scary! I just want to put him in a protective bubble forever.

And invest.

@mokay19 Welcome back from vacation! Glad to see you back on this thread!
@shamrocandroll I'm so sorry for your loss
@kpearse99 I hope your audition went well!
@stassischroeder Yay for your little walker! And that would be QUITE the conception story!
@puppylove8910 I'm hoping for a BFP July 4th. FF says that's when I should test, and I got DS's BFP on Christmas Eve, so the holiday theme would be awesome!
@BusinessWife GL today!
I'll check back in to post my response in a bit!

Any thoughts about this cycle?

@BusinessWife thinking about you!! FX so hard

At this point its more likely to be a sign of diabetes or something
@BusinessWife good luck today!!!
@millpe Happy Birthday to your DS! And I'm a believer in -1 timing as well.
@MrsVP614 FX for an easy scope with a great outcome! And that's so cute that you get to chat with DS as he's getting ready in the morning

@varimama The dance floor is loud. DD has been to several weddings in her 2.5 years, I've always had the noise canceling headphones on her. But of course I forgot them for this one, she did great though. The experience is much different, but I actually like it, probably because there is always family there to help with DD.
@BusinessWife Good luck today!
@millpe Happy birthday to your LO!

TTC#2 April 2019@m6agua ah that makes sense with family helping.

@kpearse99 I'm so sorry for the BFN!
MH and I were like "This child of ours..."

Ages of other child(ren)? will be 3(!) this coming Monday!!
Any thoughts about this cycle? Right now just waiting around for O
Any questions? Nope
Rant/Rave/Brag: Brag - finally got my stuff together and got an invite out for a birthday party! Rant(s): why are all kid activities held at completely inconvenient times for working parents? I want to sign up DD for mini-ballet, but all the lessons are during work hours!! Another rant: I need to find DH a birthday present (his birthday is the day before DD's) and I'm out of ideas. Anyone have a great hubby gift?
GTKY: (stolen from the IF thread) - if you won the lottery, what would you do with the money? 1. School loans 2. House payoff 3. Car payoff 4. Payoff Parents and IL's homes 5. Payoff BIL's home 6. Put toward savings
@jennifer_louise: glad they all played together!
@kpearse99: love that he thought the fair was for his birthday!!
@m6agua. I'm sorry, I know how much it sucks being benched. Theres always a silver lining, but I get it bc we have always wanted kids close in age, too. Hang in there. I have to believe it'll all be for the best. (((Hugs)))
@kpearse99 I hope you get the part!!! How soon before you hear back?
AFM, we are all clear!!! So relieved not to have to have another procedure.
@tyrion_: glad you can cheer yourself, but it's also okay to be disappointed.
@mercury94: love that you're loving the legal-love. (Does that make sense?)
@stassischroeder: yay, walker!! It's so adorable to watch them toddle around!!
@silly_goose: I bet kiddo will think that's an awesome birthday!!
@shamrocandroll oh my scary!!! I'm so glad your LO is on the mend and feeling much better! But how terrifying! And I am just so sorry for all of the additional stuff you have going on this week
