They pushed my appointment again, I won't know now until FRIDAY morning. They said the doctor wanted to run additional tests on the tissue so they werent ready yet. It's like they want to torture me.

@kaeineurope that’s infuriating! Great that they want to be thorough but the doctor should have personally called you to discuss what they know or don’t know as of today. I’ve been through so much of this with my dad lately so I’m particularly short tempered with this stuff lol. I will continue to pray for positive news for you!!

Hey Ladies. They called me in a day earlier today, so I finally got the results. It’s cancer. It’s only in one breast and has spread to the lymph node. They advised me to terminate the pregnancy for the optimal treatment and best outcome, but I just can’t do it. So we have agreed on an alternative line of treatment that will allow me to carry the pregnancy (almost) to term. I’ll need to undergo breast-conserving surgery and a lymph node dissection as soon as possible, as well as 6 months of chemotherapy starting from week 13. It’s going to be a long hard road, but I’m ready to face it, especially for this gift.

I'm so sorry @kaeineurope - my heart dropped reading your update. And I'm in awe of how strong and positive your outlook is. You and your family will be in my thoughts during these coming months and I'm crossing everything for you.

It is good that you and your doctor were able to come up with a plan that you are comfortable with and will hopefully allow both you and your baby to be healthy. @kaeineurope oh my heart is so sad hearing this news. May you find strength from your little bean in times of struggle. You are a tough lady. On Thursday when I was diagnosed, my oncologist told me I needed to stop taking progesterone immediately because I was just "feeding the tumor" (it's triple positive breast cancer, meaning it responds to estrogen, progesterone and, HER2 whatever that is). I stopped cold turkey, and *TMI* i've been having light cramps and today had some pink to reddish spotting when I wipe *end TMI*. I freaked out and made SO take me to the nearest emergency room today. Keep in mind I have not even had my first prenatal checkup at this point.
Long story short, little bean looks ok at 5w6d. I even got to see a heartbeat notwithstanding the ultrasound machine picture quality sucked! Everything that was supposed to be there was there, and this is finally starting to feel real to me.
In the meantime, i'm trying to get as many opinions as possible regarding treatment. It seems no two doctors can agree. It is also killing me how fast people/doctors skip right to the argument for terminating the pregnancy, even seeming to think that its not such a big deal because it's so "early" and that I should "be reasonable". My protective mamma bear instincts are out in full force, i'll bite the head off of anyone who tries to suggest it.

@kaeineurope First of all, I'm so glad that you saw your sweet little one and that everything there looks good. But I hate that you're having to go through all this. To receive such good news about being pregnant only to receive horrible news shortly after. I'm sorry that everyone is pushing for terminating the pregnancy. I can see where they're coming from as far as starting treatment now, but people in our position who have already lost a sweet baby or who struggled to get pregnant in the first place, that's just asking too much. My heart goes out to you. You are always in my thoughts and prayers ❤
@kaeineurope I hate that you have to go through this. I’m glad you got to see LO and everything looks good with LO. I’m glad to hear it’s early stages and most definitely get as many 2nd opinions as needed until you find the right treatment for you

AFM, I’m 15 DPO and no AF. Still haven’t tested. I will tomorrow if it doesn’t show. I just hate to spend money if it’s just off since my ovulation was so wacky. I have no symptoms of either other than a back pain.
@kaeineurope I’m sure your mama bear has kicked in! If they haven’t no gone through what we have then they won’t understand. I’m glad you’re getting multiple opinions but that must be so frustrating that they don’t agree! Still keeping you in my prayers!
