Hi, everyone. I will be doing an FET sometime in the near future. Basically my eggs were not good at all, we used a donor. And today we just got the results that only one of five embryos was PGS normal. With 20 eggs retrieved, only one good one. We were crushed. Devastated.
Long story short, $40,000 later we have ONE shot at this. One. I have endometriosis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, etc, not the healthiest body. I am really, really nervous about having one shot at this. I cant afford to do another donor cycle.
I would really appreciate any advice on how to prepare for an FET, all the things that should be done etc. He did the xray of the fallopian tubes/uterus and that was normal. My lining in general has been good. He wants to do the saline sono about two months before we do the transfer, I thought that it should be done closer?
other than estrogen, progesterone, are there other meds people have used? And lastly, are there any immunology tests anyone has done prior to this? My immune system and health has not been good, but no one finds much except “fibromyalgia”.
Sorry for all the questions. I am just very, very nervous. Thanks in advance.
@ktrabing I was pretty crampy the day of and day after transfer. Now they come and go with random twinges and pulls and the other night (at 3dp5dt) I had a very sharp pulling pain. I’ve had dull lower back pain pretty frequently too. I’m 5dp5dt now and feel nothing. Trying not to go insane over here.

@sbhawnani Hope your transfer went well and that you had a nice restful weekend!
@lovemygs Hang in there, the wait is always the worst part!
@casey301 I'm so sorry that this has been so stressful and that there was only one embryo that was PGS normal. It only takes one good embryo and implantation - hopefully this one is your lucky one! In terms of preparing for your FET, I would just make sure you are following your protocol taking your medications and any supplements as prescribed by the RE. I have only ever been on estrogen (originally injections, now pills) and progesterone in oil injections. In terms of tests, we did blood clotting testing after multiple losses so i'm now on Lovenox injections (blood thinner). Most recently our RE also had us do an ERA test - looks to see when the ideal window for implantation is. That might be something you may want to ask about. If you have questions or concerns about your protocol, I would definitely recommend writing them all down and scheduling a time to speak to your RE. Hope that helps a bit. I wish you the best of luck!
AFM I had my lining check on Saturday. Everything looks good, so we started the PIO and are on schedule for a Friday transfer.

@lovemygs Same here...I'm had some weird pulling pains too. I was told I could start working out again on Saturday but I took through the weekend off of everything. I've been on and off cramping almost every day since the transfer. Today I will start working out again (super super modified for me since she said I couldnt run more than a couple miles or lift more than 20 lbs), and I'm super excited to be able to do something again, but worried at the same time. Will be paying super close attention to how I feel during it!
@celticknotfire my beta is scheduled for 6/19- I was planning to test this weekend, but having second thoughts. I think I’m going to wait until the beta. @orchid0404 thank you!
My beta is tomorrow, but I tested Monday and today (6 and 7dp5dt), and BFNs. We’re pretty devastated, but we’re also especially grateful for our two healthy boys. This was our only healthy embryo, so this is it for us.

@orchid0404 My transfer went pretty smooth, but that's how most transfers are. My anxiety is through the roof for the past few days since I have had no cramping/no pain/not even a twinge. Not sure how this cycle is going to work without any of that.
@casey301 like everyone said, stick to your protocol and try to be as positive as you can (coming from a girl that snaps at everything ). I have heard some people do ERA and that would be our next step if something goes wrong this cycle. Good luck with everything.
@celticknotfire my beta is scheduled for the 17th but it seems so far.
@lovemygs don't lose hope yet. Wait until tomorrow and even then know that what we get is part of our destiny. I will be praying for you today and tomorrow.
@ktrabing I am glad that you can get back to working out and being yourself. I cannot even bring myself to walk a block. Hope everything goes well with you.
Really hoping we all hit the jackpot this month. If I forgot to mention anyone here, this is for you. I am praying for all of us. Let June be a month to remember. Hang in there; we're all together in this.
@lovemygs I'm so sorry, hang in there. We're all here for you.
@sbhawnani Much easier said than done, but try to stay positive. No symptoms doesn't necessarily mean bad news.
Keeping all you ladies in my thoughts! Hopefully we all get some good news soon.

@sbhawnani hi! Tying to relax. After much though, I decided to take this whole week off work to be able to relax. I’ve been doing minor things and resting as well. The wait is killing me, but that’s all I can to at this point. As for symptoms, just the usual likely due to progesterone ( cramps, bloating)- for this cycle I am only on 1cc of progesterone, so I’ve felt physically better (first IVF/failed cycle back in March, I had a lot more symptoms). Just praying for good news! My beta is on 6/19- I don’t think I’ll test before - I’m too scared! Hang in there! @celticknotfire im trying 😬😬
I took a HPT today and got a BFP!! Still pretty apprehensive that it may be a false positive but REALLY excited to see 2 lines!!! My boobs have gotten CRAZY SORE the last couple of days, not sure if its the progesterone or not as it definitely could be but I dont remember them getting sore this bad when I did my IVF cycle....hoping for all good signs!!

Had my 2nd ultrasound yesterday and will have a repeat on Friday. Lining was at a 8.2. RE is moving transfer to next Thursday from next Tuesday. Waiting is always the most frustrating. They took blood work as well and will check estrogen levels.
@orchid0404@sbhawnani@celticknotfire Thank you! I've taken another one today and the line is darker than yesterday! I still think it will feel surreal until I get the beta done though.
@lovemygs I'm so sorry that you had negatives on your HPT, but I've seen lots of women in here have many many negatives on HPTs and then have their beta come out positive! You're still pretty early, try to stay positive!! I'm praying for you guys my dear.
Transfer went really well! Both my RE and the embryologist were super happy with the quality of my little embryo so that was reassuring. I have a blood draw on Friday to check my progesterone and then my beta on the 25th!
