Last Call For FB Group Add

If you want to join the Facebook group, follow the instructions below:

Step 1. Private message one of the 5 admins ( @sourlemon, @suzycupcake, @AKuzReve, @olivemomma, or @mkrel ) with a picture of yourself. The picture MUST contain your face, your bump, and a piece of paper. On the paper, hand write your TB name, your real FB first name, your due date, and the actual date that you send us the picture. Make sure this is all legible. Please also include your FB associated email address in your PM.

****Complete Step 1 by Sunday June 9th.****

Step 2. Be patient. The admins will create a list of women who PM them. Early next week, we will be ready to start sending FB invites to your email inbox. Anyone who isn't a regular (does not mean you have to be a serial poster) will be discussed and called to a vote by regulars who are added to the FB group. Please don't allow this to discourage you from submitting and being put up for a vote. The admins may have not interacted with you, but maybe a handful of other women have. We promise that this does not mean a popularity contest. Please understand that this serves to keep us all feeling as internet safe as possible.

Hi! The invite notification process has started and we will have all of them sent this week. Keep in mind that it could take until Friday. Check your TB inbox and send your FB associated email address if you have not already. Make doubly sure it's the actual email tied to your FB account. Please do not lag on accepting an invite when one is received.

@Twinkiedoll On mobile, you type "gif sally field you like me" in google images. Click on the one you want to make it bigger in google images. Make sure it's a gif and then click to hold on the image to click save. Then come back to TB, click the little image icon above the reply box, click choose files and click the image in your camera roll you saved.

@aecm Same. I always thought animated gifs and iPhones were incompatible. The only way I know how to do animated gifs is to use the Gifs feature within FB.

Anyone else worried about learning everyone's real name? I learned the screen names here slowly through seeing them over and over.
Checked my email, and saw a Facebook invite from someone, and went who in the world is that, took me a solid minute to go, oh right that must be suzycupcake

@mrosek91 its been my experience that eventually you forget everyone's bump name lol. Or everyone changes bump names with each sequential pregnancy.

Also my experience that most bump names get forgotten over time and real names become associated with the person. But yes, it takes time and is confusing for a while.

My May 17 BMB has a google spreadsheet link as part of our FB group info with some basic facts: our name and city/state + Bump name, and then as babies are born, their birthdays and names. At this point we all know each other and our kids well but that document was really helpful for a long time. Looking back at it just now for confirmation was a blast from the past; I’d long forgotten most Bump names!

@cato99 I like the idea of a Google spreadsheet!! Especially to include info on LO’s, would make it easier to keep track of who also has older kids!

I haven't seen her handle, but was @wabash15 included in the invite? I can't remember if she was pro-FB or not, but she's definitely been one of the more active members on nearly every thread.
