  • I think I still have a cyst from when I ovulated when I got pregnant. I get this sharp pain in my right ovary and when I went in to my 12 weeks ultrasound she mentioned it was there. Usually I’d put a heating pad on it but I guess I can’t do that now.

  • Oh my gosh. I don't know why this is shocking me, but I just realized that I'm producing "milk". I was able to squeeze a tiny bit out of each side. 19w3d. When did everyone else notice this?

  • @meagan-t I haven’t tried squeezing but most days I have some dried on my nipples
  • Is that what the dry crusty yellowy stuff is on my nipples? I can't get it off!

    Yup!

Just so you all know, even after you wean, you may still leak for life 🙈

Yep.... DS is 3.5, weaned at 16m and still can squeeze some out... if I want......
  • Yeah...we were still bf’ing a bit last year so these boobs haven’t had much of a break. I k is I could squeeze some out if I wanted to. But it hurts too damn hard to try.

My 6 year old came up to hug me and said “wow!!! You smell like mommy milk!!” 😦

+1 to back pain and overall just feeling out of alignment. I haven’t been back to my chiro in a month and a half and my body hates me for it.

For those of you nervous to try chiro work, seek out a Webster certified doctor. They use gentle methods and specialize in pregnancy.

  • I get totally out of breath by the time I reach the master bedroom (3rd floor). I've never been particularly active, so it's not a huge surprise, but I'd honestly thought the breathlessness would hold off a while longer than 21w.

Also I can only sleep while breathing through my mouth. Total nose clog. Blergh.

I only have to go up one story, and I’m out of breath. It started happening around 12/13w. When I asked the MW, she just laughed and went “third baby! Things are going to start way sooner than the other two!” So, yeah, I feel you

This one is a TMI, but I just want to go back to being regular, damn it. I go from one extreme to another,
and only have the occasional day of being normal 😪 yuck!

  • I've breastfeed on and off since 2015 and as soon as they were both done, boom dried up! Huh. And I have the sore nipples at the moment, but not milk leak. My milk has always come in right around delivery. Never before. My youngest SIL leaked for ages and she tried everything to stop production. Makes me a little jealous😂 but breastfeeding and pumping came much easier with DD so I have a lot more confidence this go around ☺️

  • @cmbt2 I've been the same way. I was doing great, then the last two-three weeks have been exactly how you described. It's super frustrating!
  • So one there's a mom who's son goes to DD's school. She's pregnant as well and due early July. This is her 4th, and both of us walking up and down I don't know how she's not tired, I felt like a lazy bum next to her lol.
  • I woke up in the middle of the night covered in sweat!  I had to change my night shirt it was so bad.... WTF?!

Welcome to my world for the past few weeks. 😒

The best thing I've found is to wear minimal clothes to bed (think tank and undies), a very light blanket, and have the room cooler than you normally would. If your SO is a human heater like my husband, warn him that he won't be getting as many snuggles so he isn't upset. Ha ha!

I also bought a bath sheet (i.e. a super big bath towel) from Bed Bath and Beyond on clearance and when I wake up soaked, I lay a part under me and cover with the rest. It keeps me warmer and not wet. You can also try a toddler pee pad. Target has a washable one that helps and is soft on one side, but I don't personally like it as much as the bath sheet.

I'm clearly very used to this by now.

  • ARGH! I again shouldn't be surprised, but I just noticed new (i.e. not puberty related) stretch marks on my stomach. The light shining on them from the window made them very obvious. 🤦

    Pregnancy is beautiful.

  • @meagan-t thanks for all the tips!  I’ll have to give them a try.  I don’t even sweat that much while working out!!  I felt like I just got out of a pool 😓
  • @emily1052 Yup. That's how it feels. Mine weirdly(?) are focused from just above my belly button to my thighs, but I'm drenched when I wake up. One night I even squatted down and smelled it to make sure I hadn't peed! 😄

omg just wait until the baby comes- postpartum sweating is INSANE!  I would wake up drenched nightly. Sweating, boobs leaking, bleeding.. just so attractive haha

Oh I forgot about postpartum sweating. I slept on a big towel for awhile.

Proud to say I did not have the sweating! But I also kept a fan blowing on me all night like I do when pregnant 😂🙈

:D:s If you don't have a waterproof mattress cover, now's the time.
  • Ugh. I hate the PP sweating. I would also wake up completely trembling, teeth chattering, AND sweaty. 👎🏻
    BabyFetus TickerBabyFruit Ticker

  • I didn’t have the PP sweats but I did have absolutely insatiable thirst.  Had to keep water near me at all times or I would think I was dying.
  • I am getting the night sweats too...awful. I keep a towel beside the bed and a spare tank top and shorts for a quick change when I'm drenched.
I've also started getting the awful calf cramps in the night. Man are they ever painful!

My feet HURT.  I’ve heard of pregnant women talking about this but didn’t realize that it came with zero strenuous activity.  I’ve been lounging by and in the pool all day, my feet shouldn’t hurt.
I've been getting this way too, even when standing on surfaces that previously didn't bother me much. I attribute it to the weight gain happening relatively quickly and our bodies not fully keeping up, but I have no idea. 🤷

  • Walking up stairs is horrible. It wasn’t bad with my other three pregnancies but I end up being out of breath for 5-10 minutes after walking up. Also add me to the sweating mess at night. Postpartum sweating was way worse with number 2 than 1 or 3.

On an unrelated note, I can not stay awake more than 15 minutes once I lay down at night. My DH has been trying to keep up with the kids so I can go to bed earlier but I feel bad because my other pregnancies weren’t like this. I constantly compare and should expect that things will be different I continue to expect it to be the same as the other 3 more or less and it’s not.

Swelling is often the culprit and being outside can make it worse

  • Bones spreading to accommodate weight gain can cause the foot pain too. I knew my feet would swell with my first. I had no idea I would actually gain a shoe size and never go back. (But this doesn't happen to everyone every pregnancy)
  • And your ligaments are getting looser preparing for childbirth... I highly suggest really good, supportive shoes no matter how dorky they look lol it was a lifesaver for me last pregnancy and I'm about to break them out again for this one...
  • I miss first trimester me who fell asleep at 9pm every night... Pregsomnia is kicking my butt this week, wide awake at 2+am most nights 😴
  • @nnaelilak I up! Me too! I’m hoping once things settle down at work I can resume sleeping normally! Wishful thinking?
  • @nnaelilak The pregsomnia has me in its clutches too! It takes me forever to fall asleep and then I randomly wake up for an hour or two, and wake up well before my alarm goes off. It’s super frustrating and I’m starting to get pretty grumpy from it.
