I’m going to just stick with one for now. Takes too long to pull up pictures of all five. This is the little furry jerk that decided to scratch until his neck was bleeding, so he’s currently wearing a cone and taking up a lot of my attention. I’m about to take a quick lunch break to check on him. Picture is old, so no cone.

@b_1029 totally obsessed with your furbabies. Is Russ full golden? When he has his perky ears he looks like he has a touch of collie or something else in him. He looks 100% golden in his smiley pics tho.

and you know Rue and Rose are my faves.

@mercury94 d'awww sad little pupper. Sorry to hear about his neck, what a doofus.

Maddy (tabby) and Tia's usual lounging spots when we leave for work and where they sleep at night. Maddy likes the heated floors in the ensuite.

The look Humpy gives me when I make him stop humping the bed beside us as we HIO. He was so grumpy with me he went and lay on the floor (YAY! Joke's on him, I didn't want him in the bed with us in the first place)

and for good measure, his face when he was pouting because he thought I was leaving for work, and the face he made when I asked if he wanted to come with me so I could drop him off at Grandma's.

Here's Winnie! She's getting so big! She was just under 9 lbs when we got her, and yesterday she weighed in at over 17!

She slept for like a half hour like this while we ate dinner. 😂

@kiki047 he better be full golden for what we had to pay for him! (yes I know, adopt don't shop etc. but....my bad). He's a little guy and doesn't always look full golden though since he doesn't have a lot of floof. LOL at the Humpy pics/gifs (and the name hahah)

Here's my sweet little pup, Gypsy! The first picture was when I first got her - she was about a year old I think? Poor little thing was rescued as a puppy in the middle of the winter by my one friend. He was unable to keep her and I was like "GIVE HER TO ME, I LOVE HER"! She's been my ride or die since 2008!

@b_1029 Maybe this should be my FFFC, but I think there's too much of a bad rap around purebreds. If you do your homework and go through a reputable breeder, I see nothing wrong with it. Puppy mills are the problem, not legitimate breeders. Our last dog (we lost him at 13.5 last October) was a rescue and was always kind of a wild card, and had some ridiculous anxiety that made him reactive. He was not a good family dog as a result, so that was a priority for me this go around. I have never once heard of a golden who didn't make an amazing family dog.

@b_1029 he looks so dainty for a golden. I like that he doesn't have a ton of floof. He looks so refined.

@shamrocandroll I agree. My first dog, Kermit is a pure bred pug and I paid a fortune for him. Breeder was very reputable and I did my research on her before giving her my money. (She has since had a pug win the toy group at Westminster, so I think she’s still pretty reputable.) My pug that I just posted a picture of (Yoda) is a rescue. I love him. He’s so grateful to have a home and he’s usually great with everyone. But, every once in a while, he’s goes crazy over a particularly good treat and he’s a street dog again. Not that you shouldn’t rescue. Just that you should know there is a difference and there’s nothing wrong with a pure bred from a good breeder. That said, I also got a dog (through someone giving him up) from a puppy mill (still have him) and you can really tell the difference. He occasionally has breathing issues, etc. So, definitely do the research if you’re going to shop.

I am bad and forgot I had a turtle. His name is Dexter and he is currently living in our basement but he likes to cheer me on when I lift. lol.

@shamrocandroll @mercury94 agreed on the whole purebred breeder vs rescue thing. I'm all for rescues, and I support a few of them myself. But I see nothing wrong with reputable, responsible, honest breeders who aren't just in it to make big $$$$ off of purebred dogs.

@kpearse99 hahaha big dogs on small pillows or in small beds are the funniest. At least she tries to fit herself onto the pillow. Humpy just sprawls everywhere.

@kpearse99 @brookert615 oh thank you, the previous owners had it reno'd before we bought the house and we love it. The shower is like a european style walk-in so it only has 3 walls. At first we made a huge mess when we showered (especially when we shower together) but we've gotten really good at not splashing everywhere. It's a little 'extra' for anything I'd choose for myself but since the house came with it already done, wahoo!

Fenix is my middle pup and he's a who don't really know mix. We think he's great dane, pointer and something else but he's about 90 lbs and a big baby. Note the pillow under his head.

@mercury94 I feel like once you go rescue, it's hard to go any other way after that bc of how much they appreciate you for the good life? Though we got sweet Nova from a rescue shelter almost a year ago as a pup & we pulled Jasper off the street, & there's a difference there bc she was a puppy. Jasper definitely appreciates his luxurious life more bc he lived like 1-2 years in a worse situation/as a street dog. (We know he was someone's dog before he was a street dog, before he was ours.) Nova though has been ours since she was like 3 months old and doesn't realize how good her life is lol. Also I love pugs & I love yrs & I want to hug them & kiss their heads.

@brookert615 Did you celebrate Mr. Dexter on World Turtle Day? I hope you showered him with love.

I took this yesterday bc it's freaking adorable how they lie under my desk. (I got out from where I normally sit to take the pic but I'm normally right in front of my laptop. Also, yes, my desk/life area is a mess. Also, hi! This is where I normally type to yall from!) Jasper in the back, Nova in front.

Ahhh! All these animal pics are melting my heart. Here's my sweetie little baby girl (I refuse to believe she's 10). She's a rescue lab mix. She is terrified of water, refuses to play fetch, and is obsessed with bananas.

@kagesstarshroom It’s true. The love of a rescue that knows he’s been rescued is so real. Yoda got out of his collar on a walk one day and just sat down. He was like, nope, not going anywhere. This is the good life here.

I know im late to the party, but my furry kiddos are such a part of my life that I couldn't not share!

I loved seeing everyone's pups/kitties/turtles (!). Made me wish for a meet-up!

@brookert615 I had 2 pet turtles growing up! Their names were "Sam" and "Ella" *wink, wink*

Here are the kitties: Honey (left) and Bru (named after the Scottish soda, "Irn Bru")

And my poor little stinker of a mutt, Roxie. She's 13, blind in one eye, and pretty much does whatever she wants.

And last but not least is our rescued dobie, Octavian (Tavi for short). He's been a labor of love, but I wouldn't trade him for anything.
