Well I had my baseline testing done today. Looks like I have a cyst on my left ovary but they said since its not producing estrogen or progesterone they suspect it will just go away on its own and they arent worried about it. So I will start my estradiol patches and pills today. I will do a patch every other day and pills twice a day through the first trimester. I'm not looking forward to the estrogen bump....I'm already having hot flashes! But, its a small price to pay for a sweet baby (fingers crossed).
@ktrabing I've had that happen before as well. Glad the cyst isn't estrogen producing and that you can continue on with your cycle! Hang in there with the hot flashes, it'll be worth it in the end!

I'll be joining June now as my May FET was not successful. I'm 41 and my wife and I have adopted three embryos. We went through 6 IUIs that failed and now one failed FET. RE indicated due to low ovarian reserve IVF using my eggs was a bad option. I had surgery in April to remove a polyp and have a "scratching." Going to add accupuncture this cycle to see if it helps. Bad rash where there estrogen patches were has emerged last two days and is driving me a little nuts from the itching. Is nice to get a few days off from the medications.
@bluguitarhannah I get that rash sometimes too. It itches!! I just ice it and that usually calms it. I try to rotate them but they still are a pain. @emmasemm I only tested higher for the anticardiolipins so he doesn’t think I need the intralipids, but I did inquire about them. My husband’s aunt tried for seven years over 15 years ago and a younger doctor came into her practice and suggested the intralipids. It was her answer so it’s always on my mind. We are doing Prednisone 10 mg twice a day. I’m also doing baby aspirin and Lovenox. My FET is June 13th. This is our third transfer. Fingers crossed!! This is our month ladies!!!
@bluguitarhannah I have it too! I'm glad I'm not the only one....its super annoying! I just had to up my patches to 2 at a time too after my appoinment yesterday so I'm not looking forward to that....I'm going to run out of places to put them! haha
@ktrabing - has your doctor said it’s ok to put patch on hip? I see that’s an option on the package. I see my Re tomorrow for first monitoring ultrasound. Expect to restart meds tomorrow. It was nice to have a few days off.
Had my baseline and the next transfer will likely be 6/17 or 6/18. RE has changed up some of the protocol going to estrogen shots instead of the patch as the reaction from the last cycle has not abated yet. He's upping the amount of estrogen I'll be on and has changed the brand of progesterone vaginal inserts plus keeping the progesterone shots. Lining looked good for how it should be. He can't explain why the last one didn't take so mabye June's my month.
Things are finally moving along. I had my baseline earlier this week and started on my estrogen and lovenox. Expected to start the PIO shots on the 8th and do the transfer on the 14th.
*TW* Always have such mixed feelings starting a cycle. I hate the waiting around because I hate feeling like i'm wasting time and not doing anything, but then when we start I always get into a funk. All the negative feelings creep up and it's hard to expect anything other than the worst outcome. Instead of looking forward and thinking about the potential due date if I were to get a BFP, I find myself looking ahead and time lining out when I would be likely to miscarry. I feel like this process has sucked away my ability to be positive after nothing but bad results. Sigh...sorry, depressing rant over.

@orchid0404 I think your feelings are very normal. I like to think of it as I'm managing hope so I can be ok with either outcome but try not to swing to overwhelming anxiety or even depression. This space is helpful to me that there at least others going through same ups and downs over and over again whereas in regular life people rarely get it. Sending you energy as it starts again.
@bluguitarhannah Thanks, it has definitely been comforting joining these boards. Getting the thoughts swirling around in my head written down and also hearing from others who are so supportive and understanding. I like the idea of managing hope.

@orchid0404 hang in there. I totally understand the rollercoaster of emotions you're going through. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that June in the month for all of us.
I started with the PIO shots yesterday and they are a little uncomfortable. Transfer day Friday and then the dreaded 2 WW. This is my firsts FET so a little nervous and hoping that they stick this time.
@sbhawnani Hang in there! The PIO shots are never very fun, but you're almost at your transfer day which is really exciting! Have you tried icing before the shot? I always keep a small ice pack in the freezer and then have DH position it since he is doing the shots for me. It helps a lot, most nights I don't even feel the shot. The welts are a different story...I've heard applying heat or massaging the area is supposed to disperse the oil, but have never had much luck with that. Good Luck with your transfer!

Thank y’all! I’m feeling all. the. things. I hope the thaw and transfer go smoothly and that our ONE embaby sticks around for the next 9 months.
Group question: Are you going to test before beta?? I really thought I would so I wouldn’t have any surprises, but the closer the day comes the more I chicken out. My RE does them pretty early - 8dp5dt - so IDK.

@sbhawnani , we will be cycle buddies. My transfer is also Friday! We have two very good quality embryos and will transfer both! We had a failed first IVF cycle in March with a very good quality embryo as well (only had one after PGS). We’re giving it all we gave in this trial. Praying for this’ to work! 🙏
@lovemygs First, good luck! Second, I'm sure I'll test early. I'm trying to make myself wait until maybe day 8 or two days before the beta. I end up getting so emotional after I test I'd like to try and delay as long as possible.
@lovemygs Transfer day! Good Luck! To answer your question, I always test before the beta, I have no patience lol. So much is out of our control when it comes to IF. I think I also just like being able to have a little bit of control over how/when I find out. Even when they call with the results I typically let it go to voicemail so I can listen to it at home with DH rather than at work. That's nice your RE does the beta so early though - less time waiting is always nice!

@sue2019 that is exciting. I've always wanted a cycle buddy to chat up symptoms with. We have 3 frozen, non tested embryos and will be transferring 2. Crossing my fingers and toes for everyone here. I wish I could rush the process somehow and get the results sooner Thanks for the tip, @orchid0404 I have been applying heat to the area before and after. I will try icing tonight and see if that works. @lovemygs sending lots of sticky dust your way. I am not sure if I'd be testing early. In my past cycles, I started bleeding around day 8 so didn't have much hope but if AF can stay at bay until after day 8, I might. My doctor tests on day 11-12 post transfer. My tentative test date is June 17.
AFM Scan was good today so starting Estrogen this evening! Next monitoring in a week!

Group question: Are you going to test before beta?? I really thought I would so I wouldn’t have any surprises, but the closer the day comes the more I chicken out. My RE does them pretty early - 8dp5dt - so IDK.

Thanks for the tip, @orchid0404 I have been applying heat to the area before and after.
@sbhawnani @sue2019 Friday is sooo close!
AFM Scan was good today so starting Estrogen this evening! Next monitoring in a week!

I’m just offer here suffering crazy tiredness from the estrogen patches. Lupron I have no effects, but this estrogen is a killer for me! Can’t wait to sleep all weekend!

@lovemygs How are you feeling? its been a few days since your transfer, are you still crampy at all?
My transfer was yesterday and its soooo hard to just sit and do nothing today. My doctor said I can go back to normal activity tomorrow I've been a little crampy since yesterday and my uterus is super swollen today but I feel pretty good!
