I'm a 36yo first timer. I am from London UK but have lived in NYC for 15 years. My EDD is 12/22, and I've got my long awaited first scan next Tuesday, May 14.
My SO & I got married 6 months ago (and moved in together 7 months ago) so lots of change all at once for me here! I am incredibly excited, though get waves of anxiety (which I hope will ease after the 12 week mark and when the shock wears off). I am grateful for the community this app offers, as it's been a bit overwhelming trying to get up to speed on all the do's and dont's via Google. Looking forward to everything this journey promises, and learning more from all of you ladies.
My name is Amanda and I am 7w6d pregnant. This is my first pregnancy and it has been quite the experience so far. My EDD is Christmas Eve on 12/24/19. I am so excited and can't wait to meet my little blueberry. My symptoms have been crazy. I'm sick all day and the fatigue is a lot. I had insomnia before I was pregnant and the pregnancy is just making it harder to sleep. I'm hoping after this first trimester at least the nausea will subside. Last Monday (5/6) I went into the emergency room for bleeding, baby is doing well though. I have a subchorionic hemorrhage, but doctor said that all should be just fine and for now the bleeding has stopped. My next appointment is on June 5, the day before my birthday and I hope to see my blueberry again. Best birthday present ever would be to hear that heart beat again.
Hi ladies, I’m Neda. 35 years old living in Toronto with DH and our black pug. I’m 7 weeks today 🎉.
I moved to toronto Around September to be with DH from Los Angeles. Big difference in weather!! I had a chemical that ended at 5w1d in January. We just got married March 31st and found out we were pregnant right before we left for our honeymoon on April 21st. Unfortunately that was also the same day We found out my MIL has pancreatic cancer. So as soon as we got back from our trip he went to Europe to be with her (they live in Canada but went to their home country to visit for the summer when she got sick). I’m back in LA with my family for the next week. A lot has happened in The last couple months! But we heard little ones heartbeat at a strong 130 a couple days ago ❤️
@mandapanda6693 Hey there! My name is *also* Amanda, and I also love pandas! (That's a nickname of mine, too! ) I'm loving all our similarities--I'm also a FTM due 12/24! If you're also a teacher and/or love the band Nine Inch Nails, then this is a crazy world we live in! I hope your symptoms ease soon!
@Knottie1431486755 hey! I used to live in Toronto too until 2 years ago, now I've relocated about 45 minutes away in the suburbs. You should go back to the main board and follow the instructions on how to change your username if you want to stick around, it's really really hard for people to keep track of the numbered Knottie names and in my experience, most of the people who contribute regularly to the board will just start ignoring the Knottie names assuming they're randoms just posting a one-off.
Hi Everyone! My name is Leslie and I am 32 years old and 9 weeks right now, this is my first pregnancy after many years of trying so couldn't be more excited (and a little terrified too). Currently I am living in San Antonio, TX however my husband is in the army and later this summer we are moving to our next duty station at Colorado Springs. We are very excited about the move but it's going to be challenging moving so far into my pregnancy and having to switch medical teams...hoping for the best! Nice to meet you all!

You are the best! I couldn’t figure it out but I think I just changed it! I’m actually outside of Toronto too! We are in north Oshawa... but most people don’t know the area so I stick to Toronto
@baby_love7 welcome and congrats! we’re due date twins! i don’t like holding babies either... always afraid i’ll drop them, lol. guess we’ll get over that pretty quickly 😊
@Knottie1431486755 so far it's still showing up as a Knottie name but it might just take a bit to switch over. I'm the other direction, in Oakville but I hear you on just sticking to "Toronto"
Hey everyone! My name is Amanda and I am 27 years old. My husband and I have a 2 & 1/2 year old son. According to last missed period my EDD is 12/5. I have been hesitant to join this group since my last pregnancy ended at 6 weeks with a miscarriage. I will be11 weeks tomorrow and still feel very cautious, but excited. We just started telling our family this week. I haven't been too sick, just a little nauseaous. My son was breech so I had to have a c section and was considering vbac until the Dr explained the risks... Now I'm not sure what I want and my husband is dead set against a vbac after hearing what can happen. While the c section was no walk in the park it was honestly not as bad as I imagined it would be. Congratulations to everyone!
@EmilyLove25 I am, for the animals! I was actually working for Farm Sanctuary until January. (They condensed their Northern CA farm into their NY location and I don't want to live on the east coast again, haha.) We're moving up to Oregon next month where I'm starting my journey to become a midwife. LOTS of changes, but exciting ones! Anyway, it's good to meet you!
Hi. I'll be a first time mom. My EDD is 12.25.19. I only have one ovary and it has a cyst. Praying for a healthy pregnancy, and especially a safe first trimester.
Hi all. I am currently 7weeks 6 days. 8 weeks tomorrow. EDD December 27th. This is our 5th and a Total surprise! I’m still in shock. I have my first app May 22nd. We haven’t told siblings yet. Ordered big brother/big sister again t shirts and will wrap them to give them to them. Been pretty sick as I was with all my others. Hoping it eases up.
I’m a TTM (DS1 is 4 and DS2 is 1.5) and I’m currently 8w6d. We just found out at our first appointment on Wednesday that we’re having twins! My official EDD is 12/21, although if all goes well they’ll likely arrive the first week of December. We went through 2.5 years of trying and several rounds of fertility treatments to have DS1, so to have not only a surprise pregnancy but to also have twins is quite a shock! This feels like a whole new ballgame, even after two previous pregnancies, so I’m looking forward to being part of a community and hopefully meeting other moms of multiples!

Congratulations!!! How exciting! I had a friend who had twins about 7 months ago. So fun! 💗
Hello, I'm due 12/17. This is my first pregnancy and im more than excited. Me and my husband were going with the approach if it happens it happens. We were told that I was infertile and would need to look into other options. So when we found out our lives were overfilled with joy. ❤
Hello all! I’m due December 6th with my fourth child. I work part time as a waitress although it feels like a full time job. My fiancé and I are excited to add to the family!
Hi all!!! Well I'm due on 12/17 with my first, I'm 39 and this was a totally amazing and shocking suprise for the boyfriend and I. I was told years ago that I had compromised fertility. We are overjoyed about our little one!
Hi all! I'm Lucy and I'm 9w1d with my first. I'm due on 12/22 and having a hard time to adjusting to all these acronyms. I'm 34 and my husband and I were seeing a fertility specialist because I have PCOS and one blocked tube and never ovulated. We weren't able to do our first try at IUI because it was on the blocked side, but the second try around we were able to do it. By some statistical miracle that first IUI we did worked and I got pregnant! I spent so much of my time learning all the things that could go wrong and expecting to be on the path of trying to get pregnant for so much longer that I'm having a hard time mentally catching up to my new reality. We went to the RE at 7 weeks to see the heartbeat and everything was perfect. I was so prepared for nothing to even be there that I wept! Happy to have to make this mental shift!
Hi, everyone! My name is TJ, and I’m 11w3d with my first! I’m 30 years old, and we discovered a few weeks ago after some spotting that I apparently have a bicornuate uterus, which means it’s heart shaped. It’s been very scary, but the doctor and my midwife seem to think everything should be okay. Keeping my fingers crossed!
This is our first pregnancy - due 12/23 based on LMP. I have to wait until mid June for the first OB appointment. I am anxious and excited for that appointment!!
Hello ladies! I'm due 12/15 with my second child. My husband and I have a 15-month old son from IVF but the little cutie in my belly is all-natural from my very first cycle after I was finished breastfeeding!!! What a miracle! I'm so happy to be here with you all!
I am from Brantford Ontario, Pregnant with our first! Due Date is Dec 31st which is also our wedding anniversary!! Had our 1st ultrasound last Friday at 7weeks3days and baby had a healthy heart beat! My Husband and I are SO excited to grow our family!
I love this December mom group! Looking forward to growing and learning with all of you! Xo
I'm due with baby #3 on 12/19 (but probably later because all of my babies are late). I have a 10 year old daughter and a 3 year old son.
This one was a complete surprise! We just bought a house near Denver after moving here a year ago from the DFW area. I have been far less useful in painting and cleaning the new house because I have been very smell sensitive and nauseated.
This baby was extra surprising because I had an appendectomy when I was about 4 weeks pregnant (but tested negative). I was told I had an ovarian cyst so I thought that was why I was late. It couldn't have been a pregnancy as the blood test came back negative. Well, I was.
I'm starting to get quite excited (and less worried about losing the baby) as time goes on.
Congrats to everyone here! I look forward to growing a baby with you guys!
Hi everyone my name is Johanna and I am due 12/24. I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter who cannot wait to be a big sister! This is our first pregnancy after a loss in January. We are very nervous but excited. Happy to join all of the other December moms here and I wish everyone the best!
Hello, this is my first child and it's been a rocky road emotionally. I'm in my late 30s and I fortunately have a supportive partner and parents, but no friends to talk to. I'd rather not share my first name, it is unique and I don't want anyone I know IRL finding this (food for thought-- if you give your child a unique name they're VERY easy to find online! I'm picking something pretty common for my kid). I'm located in the Chicago area, due in mid December.
STM, due 12/28. I have a DD who will be 2 in July, and have been married to my husband for almost 4 years. We live near Nashville, TN, and have a dog and cat. Was part of the BMB for July '17, not very active as a poster but loved checking in from time to time! Congrats everyone!
Well my name is Erin and I am 42 years old and 11 1/2 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child my due date is Dec 19th . I have an 8 year old girl and an 11 year old boy .
Hi all. First time Mom here at an AMA of 37 (I know, ancient lol). 11-4 today. Just got our NIPT results back on Friday - looks like a healthy baby girl is joining us in December (12/19 EDD). Hubby and I are super excited, and a bit nervous. Looking forward to hearing everyone’s experiences and advice.
Hi all! I’m a FTM with EDD dec 21. Getting married June 28 and hoping this first trimester yuckiness is better by then! Excited about this surprise...2 step kids 10 and 7.
Thanks @blueskychicago12! I don’t know about you, but being a little older going into the baby-making stage I feel super paranoid about staying healthy. Trying not to get too outta control - don’t want to freak the hubby out. Lol
Hello, I'm 31 y. Old and live in Washington DC. I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant and my EDD is December 11! Super excited for the baby! I'm hoping and praying that pregnancy will continue to go well.
👋🏻 first time poster, second time mom. I’m 32 with a 3 year old boy in Virginia. 11 weeks tomorrow, my EDD is 12/30. we’re hoping for NIPT results this week, and I’m excited to get to know you all this year!!
