@mokay19 we’re going to the beach in August and our place has a queen bed....I can already forsee that being an issue. There’s a second bedroom with I think 2 twin beds. Maybe we will have to sleep there instead 😂
  • @bows22 our vacation is going to have a queen bed too and I’m not sure how we’re going to make it work. I was shocked at the number of places that had double beds... Probably gonna end up being DH in his own queen and DS and I together in a queen bc ours had 2 queens. Or if we get DS a bigger travel crib (he’s outgrown the pack n play) then maybe we’ll just push the queens together 🤣

@puppylove8910 oh wow have so much fun! Is your DS going with you?

@tyrion_ Yes so expensive! I was so tempted to try a Casper or another bed in a box just to give it a shot but we talked ourselves out of it.

@varimama that’s a good point, I don’t know how DD will do in the pack & play so there’s a good chance she and I will be in the queen bed. Although sometimes she takes up more room than DH because she doesn’t understand that you aren’t supposed to sleep perpendicular
  • @tyrion_ Hate to see that you're back, but glad to have you here.

@MJDsquared it’s funny that you say that about exclamation points because I definitely had that exact thought today and I concluded “I’d rather they think I’m like weirdly happy than rudely a biatch” haha
I’m having the same thoughts of I’m “happy” to be done bleeding but wish I didn’t have to even feel that emotion. I hope you’re doing better now, too!

Any thoughts about this cycle? Bummed about my BFN today. But I could be 8-10 dpo, so there is a shred of hope lurking..

    Any questions? nope

Rant/Rave/Brag: BFN has me frustrated today. We conceived on the first try 3 years ago with no losses. I assumed that would happen again, even though I know the stats. MH assumed the same. It is just a disappointment and surprising when all you have to compare it to is your first time TTC. You just assume history will repeat itself.

  • @tyrion_ Sorry for your loss and having things stalled for a bit. Yay for potty training so early. My son has lazy white male syndrome. He wants mommy to do everything, including changing his diapers.

@kpearse99 Some that come to mind When do you recommend seeing a RE? Who do I need to see to get SA for MH? Am I a good candidate for test to see if my tubes are clear? Would I be a good candidate for clomid?

@craftywitch I got a faint line at 9dpo with my son, on the first try, but apparently that is super uncommon!!! I just tested today 8-10 dpo and got. BFN.

  • @MJDsquared I use exclamation marks all. the. time!!  Seriously, for everything!  My boss always thinks I'm yelling at him in emails but I tell him that if you're yelling in text form you USE ALL CAPS not exclamation marks!  He just laughs at me.  But I have the same feeling about ending things with a period, especially through text messages.  I'd much rather people think I'm full of too much energy (which is clearly not the case since I fall asleep all the time  :D) than them thinking I am stand-offish.

  • Okay, so I went to my OB yesterday for my annual and everything was fine and good, as expected with my lady parts.  @bows22 there was no mention about needing vaccines or any talk about vaccines whatsoever. (I believe this your question last week.. right?!)

We talked about how we have been trying for 8 months, 6 after the loss, and she said because I'm 35 that she recommends we go see a RE and gave me 2 recommendations.  I wasn't really sure how DH would feel about this, since we aren't going to do extreme measures, but to my surprise he was all on board. We have our appointment next Thursday in the afternoon.  So now I need a whole new slew of questions to ask... your suggestions are greatly appreciated!

@bobbyflies2020 sorry about the BFN! Hopefully it’s just too early.

@kpearse99 thanks for the update about the vaccines! So weird that she was so concerned about that when all was fine 2 years ago but it all worked out in the end. I had the same conversation about seeing an RE at my appointment but I think we are going to hold off until the end of the summer. we’re on cycle 7 and it took 6 months of perfect timing (temping) with DD. So I was already kind of expecting it to take longer since we are just HIO EOD now. I hope I don’t end up regretting postponing it. BUT I’m glad you are going so I can follow your experience and get an idea of what’s coming for us.
  • @tyrion_ That is really interesting. Sigh. Wah. It helps to have my little boy to keep my mind off it. I appreciate him so much. Thanks everyone! :)

DD is sick....again....it’s just a fever/cough/virus but I was worried about her asthma so I let her sleep with us so that I could keep an eye on her breathing. It kind of ruined our first night in the new bed but at least there is room for her now??

@shamrocandroll I know you said your DS has virus induced asthma, do you check on him constantly at night when he’s sick? I was so stressed about that
  • @bobbyflies2020 Sorry for the BFN. Unfortunately, my second time through TTC has been quite similar to the first, which was 14 months and fertility drugs. I’m on month 5 (almost 6 now). I’ve known women with very different experiences, though My SIL has an oopsie pregnancy the first time and it took 3 years for the second. My other SIL was the opposite. 2 years for the first. Pregnancy immediately with the second. Hope your test was just too early and you have an easy journey this time around too.

  • I’m so far behind on tagging, I don’t think I can catch up, but I love you ladies. Hoping for lots of good news this week.

@kpearse99 Glad you were able to get an appointment so quickly. I never made it to an RE, because there’s not one here covered by my insurance (closest is 2 hours away), so my OB didn’t want to make a referral until we were looking at IUI or IVF. But, my fertility questions were mostly about side effects to the meds, etc. It also helped that I know what’s wrong with me. A lot of what my OB explained to me, I had already learned here or in TCOYF.

  • @bows22 I was up basically constantly checking on his his first few viruses... especially before we got on a good management plan.  It sucked!  But once his steroid inhaler started to take effect and we had his albuterol for bad flare-ups, I started to see a huge improvement and felt a lot better.  As he's gotten bigger, it has become more mild, so that has also helped.  I hope your DD feels better soon!!!

@shamrocandroll thanks! that makes me feel better. I think that her daily inhaler is helping and we started the albuterol last night and that’s keeping it in check too but I think I don’t really trust it yet. I’m sure I will start to though. This stuff is scary!
  • @bows22 albuterol works wonders on DS! He has seasonal allergies then then develop into a nasty lingering cough.  If we use the albuterol at the onset of the cough it drastically helps out.  It has done wonders.  I'm sorry your DD is sick again :(

At first I wasn't thrilled with the idea of going alone but the more I thought about it - if he really doesn't need to be there for anything they need yet why make him sit through a sh*t ton of personal questions or whatever if he really didn't need to be there.  Anyway, just wanted to give you an update... @bows22 I'll be sure to post tomorrow how it went.  Now I'm really anxious and nervous to go...

@kpearse99 my husband was in the military the first go-around so I went to every appointment except one alone. Afterward, DH goes “I literally did not understand anything that was discussed. Can you tell me what you guys were talking about?” 😂 I guess I had been telling him the abridged/simplified versions of all the conversations so when he sat through one he was LOST!
good luck! I’m sure it’ll be a conversation about your history, current health, and immediate testing that they’ll want to do.
Where are you at in your cycle right now? Knowing that will help you figure out what to expect that they might do!
