Of course we have to buy another crib for our little girl. But I’m thinking of converting all of my sons “galaxy theme” to her room and upgrading my sons room to “Dinosaurs”. I absolutely love the color palette in this fitted sheet.

We're going with cream, gray and yellow stripes (on the accent wall). In my head, it's a jungle theme with giraffes everywhere, but my husband made fun of it because giraffes aren't jungle animals (sigh). I DON'T CARE

Pretty much anything Land of Nod makes is guaranteed to make me open my wallet, so I guess I'm lucky they don't have a store in Germany....

I've bought this fabric at spoonflower, originally in order to make skirts for DD1 and DD2 but I'm kind of itching to get it as wallpaper as well. Just as an accent near the crib. Somebody stop me.

@jcbh2018, after you insert the photo, click on it to highlight it, then click the paragraph symbol drop down menu (looks like a backward P) and spoiler is one of the options.

I don't have any pictures yet cause we have to get a new crib and baby is going on one side of our room for now. I love the Cloud Island lines at Target and ordered the green and grey hot air balloon themed things. Then I found a cloud theme that's mostly grey so I think I'll get that for the crib too. I love hot air balloon themed things!

I can't decide between a travel theme and woodland animals theme. My H and I have traveled a ton, and my H really wants to do a travel theme for the baby's room, and decorate it with all of the souvenirs we've bought around the world. But I can't let go of the cute woodland animals. So I'm feeling indecisive.

Either way this is the color inspiration (light aqua, mint, peach, light pink, pale yellow)

I might be able to merge the travel theme with the animal theme if I buy this map from Etsy. I feel like it kind of pulls everything together? Then we could still have our travel touches but also have animals everywhere.

@galentine I like the mix of both too!!! That travel color scheme is beyond adorable though!!! I really wish we had a whole room for the baby because I've found sooooo many cute things that we don't have the space for at the moment😅

For those of you who like the hot air balloon stuff, look up hot air balloon mobiles on Etsy. There are some gorgeous ones out there! I have my eye on this one. It's spendy, but I think I have to have it. (Even if it doesnt really fit with traveling woodland animals 😂)

I'm thinking of doing the nursery (cause I'll actually have one this go round) in our galaxy theme.
DS became obsessed with space around 18 months and it's just continued...now that's our "thing".
Anytime any space related product is released etc, all my friends let me know.

If we end up with no theme (which is most likely) I'm just going to add purple accents. The walls are already gray and I prefer purple to all the pinks...

This is what we have for decor in our kids room. Same images, but the colors are purple and grey. If we have a boy I will most likely get another set. We have other star war decals on the same wall, and then minnie mouse on the other wall.

@kindbytealikat I came across so many things for Dr guess with DS and we did his room partially in Dr Guess things! I still have some in a tote in the basement, I should drag it out and surf through it again. His room was a kid of cloud/stars, cars and Dr guess 😂
@galentine oh my lanta that mobile is adorable!!!!! I haven't been on Etsy in a while but there were some cute blue and purple decorations I wanted for DD cause we don't do pink much. I swayed to pink lime green and white if we do pink. But I want aqua, light blue and purple. So if this is a girl, they'll share a room in those colors! Til baby is here though, mint green and grey it is 😂

@galentine I love the combined theme, I think that would be adorable! I am doing a similar animals with flowers theme but with safari animals. I plan to have more elephants mixed in, since I’ve been calling her Ella, and because I like that elephants are a matriarchal species so thought I could wrap a theme of strength and power to it as well.

@emily1052, I love your adventure theme so much! If you like mountain-themed stuff, I love the phrase "let him sleep, for when he wakes, he'll move mountains." ❤

@marbellie, I love that you are doing giraffes regardless of whether they are jungle animals. 😊 That's one of the things that makes me think I need that "animals of the world" map, because we bought baby a stuffed elephant from Thailand, a sloth from Costa Rica, etc. (with the intention of displaying them in the nursery) and elephants and sloths don't live in the woods with bears and fox. The map would help me feel like all the animals are tied together somehow. 😂

I'm completely undecided, but thinking about a minimalistic Harry Potter theme. Like lightning bolt sheets, a few stuffed animals, a deathly hallows mobile, some picture frames with book quotes... We just got a brand new house and I'm so not looking forward to "ruining" the walls with nails and paint 😅 which is weird, because I absolutely loved things on the walls and fun paint at our old place!!

That’s exactly how I am. Maybe you can find some wall decals and I use command strips to hang things with.

We took apart one of the guest rooms today and are ordering the attached wallpaper for the accent wall (all crib and furniture will be white). I can't wait to get it prepped to assuage my nesting needs.

I think I’ve changed my mind on theme. I thought that might happen with a girl. This is what I’m thinking for color palette since I really love purple/mint combo. Except no mobile I don’t do mobiles.

@kindbytealikat little miss’s nursery is mint and purple, too! I can’t get behind the no mobile though... we have an electronic one, and DS1 and DS2 would lay there for HOURS and watch it go around and the associated lights! (We only used it during the day, not to sleep)

@cmbt2 TBH I’ve just never used it, nor has anyone I have ever babysat for. I don’t quite get the point but maybe I’m missing something. They just always look like they’d be in my way. Hmm

It let me put my kid down so I could shower or wash bottles or whatever chore needed to be done without having the kid in the same baby containing device. It also got them used to daytime crib time since we use the swings for naps. Ours ran in 20 minute segments at a time, and those 20 minutes to shower and change each day were glorious

I don’t know if it’s an option for you but instead of a dresser with DS2 I just cleaned out a part of my closet and put in those IKEA shoe holders to fold all of the onesies and gowns/sleep and plays into.
