  • @somewhereinnyc – Thank you!! That’s a good idea, but honestly, I’m so afraid to make any change. If we did do suppositories, and something Gd forbid happened (related or not), I would NEVER forgive myself. I’d also probably never travel for work again. LOL

    @ittybittybug-2 – Thanks girl! What’s your technique?

@ellis1983 – Great news!! So happy for you!!

@Hopeful_mom – So wonderful to see you lady!! Hope you and the little one are doing well! ❤

  • @Isthisthereallife i traveled the day after my transfer and was freaking out as well. my doc said it was fine as long as i didn't lift anything heavy so i took less stuff and a smaller bag. i'm also traveling again in 2 weeks. my first pregnancy i traveled a few times during 1st tri and all turned out ok. i also had to give PIO shots that time and i agree practicing beforehand. i'd stand in front of a mirror in a hotel and it wasn't all too terrible. not ideal, but you gotta go what you gotta do!

@ittybittybug-2 yes, beta 3 went really well...jumped from 95 to 451. i have my first ultrasound next week...really hoping everything goes well!

@ellis1983 congrats on a great scan and being discharged from the clinic! You're more than half way through the 1st trimester already, so amazing!

  • @Tulips29 - YAY! I'm so thrilled to hear that. What day are you doing your ultrasound? Mine is a week from Monday. I had a nice strong rise as well, so I'm debating whether to do one more just to tide me over next week since it's 10 days still until the ultrasound. 😬

@ellis1983 - Congrats on a great ultrasound and 'graduating!'

@Isthisthereallife - I like to put my knee up on a chair (on the side the needle will go in) and then put all my weight onto the other foot. That helps make sure I have the weight off it. It also naturally moves your weight off it when you twist back to jab it. I take a deep breath and then do a quick jab to get through the skin. Then I push in slowly the rest of the way. I know someone else likes to do them lying down, but I found that awkward myself. It might work for you, though, especially if you feel faint at all. You got this!
  • So excited for you ladies! Huge congrats and good vibes for healthy pregnancies :)

  • So I lurked a bit on the Pregnant after Infertility board but it doesn't seem especially busy, especially for 1st trimester. I was wondering if those of you who are pregnant would be interested in a thread similar to this over there? Maybe expand it to a few more months? Maybe seasonal - Winter 19/20 due dates? Something like that? I'd love to keep in touch with your ongoing journeys.
  • @ittybittybug-2 I think that’s a great idea! Would love to keep up/ share experiences there. I bet most of us from April fet have due date in December/ January..
  • I went ahead and started the thread if anyone wants to jump in. https://forums.thebump.com/discussion/12743364/winter-19-20-due-dates/p1?new=1
  • @ittybittybug-2 thanks! My ultrasound is tomorrow. I'm feeling anxious since I feel nothing and no symptoms. Although my husband is telling me my mood swings are a clear symptom...but what does he know! lol...If another beta will keep you at ease, you can absolutely request another one. I also don't think I'd be able to wait that long until next Monday. And I saw your new thread that you created. I'd love to join, but will hold off until I get through tomorrow and possibly then one more ultrasound after that. I saw you wrote that you don't feel symptoms either and have to tell yourself that you're pregnant. I feel exactly the same way, although I'm even scared to think that I'm pregnant. Once I feel more confident, I would love to join you on the other side!

FX for you @Tulips29 and huge congrats!
  • @Tulips29 I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow! I didn’t start having any symptoms with my son until 6 weeks and even those were pretty minor, so I remind myself that. I did make one more appointment for a draw on Thursday. 🤞
  • @k_mama91 thanks, girl! How are you doing?

@ittybittybug-2 fingers crossed for a great appointment on Thursday! Good to hear I'm not the only symptomless one. I don't recall when I started having symptoms with my son. Although last 2 nights I've been having sharp cramps/pains in my belly. They don't last long and I thought it was indigestion or something I ate. Doc said it's normal. My update in spoiler below.

Just had my ultrasound and at first had a little bit of a freak out because I didn't see anything. But then we saw the sac and RE said everything looks like it's supposed to. For any Friends fans, I had a Rachel moment where the doc was pointing to the tiny dot on the screen saying that's the baby and I couldn't see anything. Now I just hope the little bean continues to grow and we can see or hear a heartbeat nex time.

AFM I got to see sweet babe Friday, we’re 10w5d. I’m just eating everything in sight and having crazy mood swings 🤪
  • @k_mama91 how wonderful! you're almost out of the 1st tri too. did you announce to anyone yet? my mood swings have been pretty bad too, so i guess that's the only symptom. i go back next friday.
