@hestia14 That sucks! There was a thread a little while ago about LCM infections and the importance of not cleaning/ being present during the cleaning up of mouse poop, especially while pregnant.
Even breathing the dust of it can expose you to risk.

@blackhottamales - I don’t know if it will work on amazon... But when I have gotten Target completion coupons in the past, I used the app to scan everything in my cart onto my registry (storage bins, home decor, groceries) and the discount worked on everything! I file it under thinking outside the box.
@hestia14 I would be calling building management pronto. You should NOT have to deal with that. Insane... also, how can they demand you move your desk with less than 10 mins warning.. so sorry you’re in that situation.
@expatmom39 Thanks for the info. I talked to maintenance, HR, and my doctor this morning. Maintenance has a guy at my desk cleaning everything now, and the nurse I spoke with said the way I handled it was the safest way I could have done (no direct contact with the poop, picked it up with a disinfectant wipe), and that in her 25 years of practice she’s never even had to test for a case of LCMV. She’s double-checking with my doctor but is convinced baby and I are fine. Definitely grateful you shared that info with me so the maintenance crew could fully sanitize my desk!
Rant and rave today. We're moving into our not-quite-done-with-renovations house this weekend. I was off yesterday and was a packing fiend! I was so proud of myself and was super validated when my husband got home and said, "Wow, I can't believe how much you got done." 💪🏼💪🏼
And now I'm exhausted and my whole body hurts today 😬🙄
Realizing that we haven't had any birth announcements yet, and how wonderful that is! We didn't have any early births on my O16 board, but there were a couple of women in S16 who had their babies pre-30 weeks and remembering how scary and small those little ones were. I think we're all almost 30 weeks at this point, and praying we all make it longer.
@asupernovablizzardstorm I love it! What type of cut machine do you have? I use a Cricut, but luckily the preschool already had planned events so I could just buy what they asked for and drop it off this time. I love the pens!
@asupernovablizzardstorm They're moving everyone around so the departments are more organized. Which I totally understand--for a while they were just putting new hires wherever there was space. I was one of the first to move because nobody was currently occupying my new desk. Except a few dried-up mouse pooplets Those are really nice gifts! I especially love the flower vase pen holder
@foodislove Right? I feel like our BMB has been very blessed when it comes to preterm birth and loss--I know for a fact we had one loss, plus one that was before our board even went live. (Remember how that took forever? ) But compared to other BMBs, we've had very few. I can't believe we're getting close to that time though!
@foodislove I have the first silhouette cameo. I miss preschool when she only had 2 teachers. I really thought the pens would be super fast to do but then it was 36 pens to tape and hot glue flowers onto.
For a second I wondered why LO was so hyper this morning. Then I remembered I had Golden Oreo Thins and Cherry Coke for a snack (thanks giant cravings for both)... Carry on.
Just call the call from the company installing our new floors, they were able to get us on the schedule for this Monday which means my floors will be installed before my baby shower on the 18th!! so freaking happy right now!!
I *think* I finally have all my SPED paperwork fixed to District standards except for the one parent who refuses to send back the signed paperwork I need.
DH is sick again (he works at a kids hospital, I should probably be happy this is only the 2nd time this pregnancy). I am getting on a plane to NYC next week. If he gets me sick and I am sick on that flight, combined with all the other discomfort/swelling/etc. that will ensue due to flying 32w pregnant, there will be Tiffany...

My DH’s head explosion moments are when I show him Tula carriers on the BST pages that are $1500-$3000... that’s where he draws the line. But not a $1500 Tiffany’s necklace... hahaha! Men.

@greeneyedgirl12, there are spas in NYC that are worth every single cent.... when not pregnant. Like hang out all day in the sauna and hot tub. But when you can’t do that.... not as good.
@happyin14 Yeah, that's the thing, there were a couple with access to the "athletic club" and/or saunas and hot tubs because you got a spa service, but didn't seem worth it for my 32w self...
Dropped off my oldest at school this morning and then had 2 hours to myself before I had to get back to his school for a Mother’s Day event. Went to Panera and worked and had breakfast in peace. It was glorious!
@fromcatstokids I got an Aloha & Light off a BST and it's coming today but my smallest dog is 50 lbs, so I'm going to have to wait to try it out (although said dog would totally be down for a ride in a sling)...
@jenniferjoy37 I figured that was resale, but the most expensive one I could find was $350 retail, so I was trying to figure out that level of increase. Not judging, newbie curiosity. Just bought my first sling last week.
@greeneyedgirl12 When they have stockings every other Wednesday, I’ve seen some between $600-$900 for sale on the Tula site. It’s all about the weaver and how much fabric they make. Some are super limited and they only make one in each size.
