Re: May WTO

  • Lol @Mack2342 that gif is funny

I'm here still, cd 8. I'm nervous/excited for my appointment with my ob next week to do my physical exam and start some testing. I'm sure my progesterone will be low since my lp is 7-8 days long. I'm ready to have a plan and move forward.

I hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

  • Thanks @Mack2342 and fx for you this cycle.

Yes @char245 here's to a good May for us all 😊
  • Temp confirmed so I think I’m 3 DPO.  So I’m heading over to the TWW
  • I go here now. CD1 of cycle 13.

  • Newbie question....did you count your miscarriage as a period on FF? My temp is still high at 98.1 so I'm not feeling super confident the misoprostol worked. I'm 12 days post misoprostol if it matters.
  • @kimmer1412 You said you don't know if the misoprostol is working, are you bleeding? If you are bleeding, I would count it as cd1, that's what I did with both of my losses. If not, I'm not sure what the protocol is.
  • @kimmer1412 I always count it as cd1. Just know that it can take a couple cycles to get back to “normal”.
  • @splashmountain yes I'm bleeding so I'll count that as CD1.
@kbrown2385 thanks I'll keep that in mind and count the first day of bleeding as cd1
  • CD8 here. go in to the RE on CD13 to check follicle progression.

@kimmer1412 I've had 4 losses and with my first 3 they were all like CD1. AF came about 28-31 days later which is quite normal for me. My 4th loss was a d&c (first 3 were all natural although I hate saying it was natural, nothing natural about it). Anyway, I wasn't sure what to expect for this time but about 30 days later AF came. 2 days of heavy flow then tapered off. Which again is kind of normal. Then 5 days later and I go to the bathroom and full on AF again. Wrecked a new pair of underwear wtf. Nothing is normal any more.
  • CD3. Caved and bought that stupid Ava bracelet thing, just waiting for it to ship. Getting my papers in order to head to my gyn this week and ask for Clomid, but still have to talk about it with SO first to make sure he's on board with the risk of multiples, which I am planning on doing tonight. If my gyn approves, we'll start Clomid next month.

  • I dont see a random questions thread so I'll ask here since I know TB doesn't like one off posts.

Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since I took misoprostol for my miscarriage and I'm still having enough Brown discharge to require a panty liner, how long is a normal amount of time for this to go on? I have an appointment next Tuesday the 14th with my OB and another ultrasound but I'm wondering if I should be concerned.
  • ruby696ruby696 member
@kimmer1412 That sounds pretty normal, unfortunately. The bleeding/spotting/discharge feels neverending. I've had five losses and the spotting usually lasts 2-3 weeks for me.
  • 40momma40momma member
@kimmer1412 not sure about Misoprostol but common with natural and d&c. It sucks
  • Still here, CD7. Still waiting for the AVA to ship so that will probably start from next cycle, but I did take a major next step today and finished all of the RPL panel testing my doctor ordered for me back in December. It was a long list so I just got the genetic testing done right away and had been putting off the rest. The results for the thyroid testing come back tomorrow eve, so I'm going to be really curious (and nervous) to see those... for the rest I need to wait until next week.

  • Hey! Got my thyroid results back. I haven't discussed with my doctor yet, but my TSH level looks borderline high -- the upper limit on reference values is 4.20 ui/ml and mine is 4.18 ui/ml but all of my other levels are well within normal range. So that might mean a really light case of sub-clinical hypothyroidism from what I am reading, but what the heck do I know. Hoping it doesn't mean anything at all. Anyone have similar results?

  • @kaeineurope not sure if things will be different where you are but my understanding is that ideal TSH for pregnancy is lower so they may decide to treat you with those numbers.

    *TW-pregnancy mentioned*
in my first pregnancy I had to be on synthroid the entire time and my first TSH was around yours

  • @kaeineurope I’m also on reddit’s Infertility and loss subreddits and most there would say TSH should not be any higher than 2.5, even tho “normal” can be up to 4. I’d push on what TSH should be for conception with your doc, not just functionally normal.

  • @manillabar @chichiphin Thank you for the info! Very helpful. Now reading up on some studies that are telling me just that (that levels above 2.5 are associated with RPL and negative outcomes). So I think it's time for me to finally visit an RE and not just my ob-gyn or general doc...

  • Just throwing another thing in today, my Ava arrived yesterday and I did my first sync this morning. I'm more excited to finally start temping more than anything else. You can indicate on the FF app how you are temping and there is a specific voice in the dropdown for the Ava sensor, so this month I will finally have my first (if incomplete) chart. Am I a total weirdo that this is so exciting to me?!

  • @kaeineurope that would be exciting to me too.  I thought about getting that too but probably won’t since I’m at end of journey.  I hope it works for you!
  • char245char245 member
@kaeineurope I’ve never looked into the Ava, what does it do? I know it helps you figure out ovulation but I never understood how. Hope it works for you!!
  • @char245 -- I'm too distracted and lazy to temp but I really wanted the data (I'm a nerd who loves data). It's a bracelet you wear only at night that records your skin temperature and lots of other parameters (resting pulse rate) and throws them into an algorithm to predict your fertile window and O day. You just wake up and sync it up with your phone on their app. You can take the temp data and insert it into FF which is what I am doing. It's super easy, but really expensive. I dropped 300€ on the thing. I'm going to use it in conjunction with OPKs just to get more clarity and insight on my cycle.

@char245 I've been using Ava for about a year and it's pretty amazing. It gets more accurate after a few cycles and *TW* has gotten me pregnant four times. *End TW* It usually predicts O a couple days before FF shows my temp rise, so my i consider my FW to last 1.5 weeks, just to be safe.

@ruby696 wow, sounds like an amazing device! I might have to look into this!
  • ruby696ruby696 member
@char245 My only complaint is the silicone band gives me a rash in my wrist. MH made little cotton sleeves for the straps so the silicone doesn't touch my skin. Totally works. 😂
