April Symptoms

Re: April Symptoms

  • I’m trying so hard not to complain. I’m an IVFer, so after everything we went through to get pregnant, I know I shouldn’t complain.

But. I have never felt so awful in my whole life. Constant nausea, headaches, heartburn, aches and pains. I’m still on PIO, so my butt is sore all the time. And I think I pulled a muscle throwing up yesterday.

How is do women do this all the time? I’m so useless!

  • @megmac2010 I get it, but you dont have love every aspect of pregnancy. You are allowed to complain occasionally, dont feel guilty. First trimester is the worst part of the whole thing for me, and I say that after having an unmedicated vaginal birth with my son 😂

  • @gumby22c You have NO idea how reassuring that is to a newbie! 😁
  • I thought I could handle this constipation, but I've hit a wall... My doctor says the Progesterone in Oil injections are making things worse and it should calm down when I'm done weaning off of them on 4/27, but that feels like forever away. I thought I was doing okay and I could manage it, but this is horrible! The abdominal aches and growing pains were already uncomfortable but this is worse... I already drink a ton of water, greens, and fiber. Mirilax it is... 😞
  • My current struggle is drinks, I'm always thirsty but so over water and nothing sounds or tastes good. It's becoming a problem.
  • @kimmer1412 this is me too. I'm the kind of person that really only ever drinks water, pregnant or not, but it's always such a struggle in pregnancy b/c I am drinking more and a lot more thirsty so it gets *so* boring. I've been trying to infuse water with fruit and that's actually been helping quite a bit. Maybe you could try that?
  • @kimmer1412 I hear you, I also do fruit (lemons/limes) and true lemon lemonade powder at least once a day. Last time I also used to put a small splash of cranberry juice into the water and it helped a lot. I need to pick up some juice so I can start doing that again. Plain water is so boring.
  • @LoneStar21416 I too only drink water even when not pregnant so I'm not sure why I'm struggling with this so much. I'll have to pull out my infuser bottle and try some fruit.

@creamcheeseplease I'll try add a little juice. I tried crystal light but even that's not doing it, maybe I'll try lemon or the true packets
  • I'm so full, but hungry at the same time.. Argh. Make up your mind!!
  • @ebills87 I'm the opposite. I almost called in sick to work yesterday because I didn't think I'd make it out of the bathroom.. I work with preschoolers, so I can't just randomly leave them if the urge strikes!
  • I’m kinda the opposite of most of you. My nausea has gotten worse. Heck this week someone brought some lunch into the office and I just about threw up at the first whiff of it. Honestly I’m just praying the nausea is over soon.
  • I’m only 10 weeks and almost none of my pants fit anymore! Fortunately I’m allowed to wear leggings at work, but I’m going to have to go shopping soon. I was hoping I could hold off announcing at work until after my 12 week appointment, but a coworker asked me today if I’m pregnant. So idk how I’m going to hide it for another 2 weeks.

@kmb412 I’m totally with you. 9+3 today and I had to announce at work last week. I bought some side panel maternity jeans but I’m not in love with them so today I ordered a maeband maternity band to try with my regular pants. 🤞🏻
  • @kmb412 I’m right there with you. I’m only 9 weeks and I can’t fit in anything. And my boobs are so big, my shirts are all too short too!

That, plus the fact that I threw up on the sidewalk outside my favourite coffee shop, means that there is no way I’m not the talk of the town!
  • @megmac2010 omg I have the same problem re bigger boobs and now too short shirts!

@kimmer1412 Newman’s Own Pink Lemonade has been my savior, obviously not as good for you as water, but it’s less sugar than other lemonade brands and I don’t drink a ton of it but it’s nice to have something to enjoy drinking.
  • @kopp5988 oooh man now I want pink lemonade! I know what I'll be getting at lunchtime.
  • Yes, so thirsty!  I have to have several glasses of water over the course of a night or I feel like my mouth is turning to dust.  And sooo tired ... especially in the afternoon.  Also having vivid dreams every single night.  I can't say I've had to much morning sickness, though my appetite / stomach is definitely not feeling totally normal either.  Not showing too much yet, but I gotta say sweatpants are my apparel of choice right now!
  • MS has hit me hard today. I have felt like I have been on the verge of being sick all day. I could barely get off my couch earlier. I really hope I don't wake in the middle of the night from this. 🤢
  • @emeraldcity1214 😣 sorry about the MS! Hope it calms down.

I had had a super rough last 2 weeks with nausea and vomiting, but having been feeling pretty fine the last couple of days. So of course now I’m freaking out that it’s  too fine and that my symptoms are going away 🤷🏻‍♀️ I can’t stop the crazy
  • I’ve been getting sick every morning for the last week but ever since then I haven’t felt too nauseous the rest of the day which is nice!

This morning I woke up and - surprise! - didn’t get sick! I was so excited! Went to go walk the dog, picked up his poop.... and was sick 😂 that was one smelly poop!
  • Ate a great healthy breakfast. Threw it up. Ate a half a pint of Ben & Jerry’s. I ain’t mad.
  • lol @megmac2010 that doesn't sound too terrible!

I forgot my seabands at work today which have been staving off the worst of the morning sickness, even though it's still there in the background. So now I'm drinking this digestive inflammation fighter tea like it's going out of style and it seems to be helping. I'm just ready for my energy to get closer to back to normal. Tired of being tired all the time, and with the holiday I want to be able to do stuff with the kids!

  • I’m 8wk1day and my symptoms have lessened a lot over the last two days.  I had sore boobs from the start and intense nausea from 6 weeks on, now they’re both intermittent.  I’ve had previous losses, but all earlier than this, so I am extra nervous and over analyzing this.  With my son, I was nauseous until 14weeks, but I know not all pregnancies are the same.  I haven’t had any major cramping or but I was spotting last week.  Please someone reassure me, I’m driving my husband crazy!
  • @rogro118 when I get like that I try to remind myself that 1) as far as I know everything is ok right now, a and 2) the most likely outcome in your situation is a positive one.

I find the reassurance statistic website helpful too.  It presents odds of continuing your pregnancy not loss.
  • @drama_llama love that positive thinking!  I’ll check out that site, thank you!
  • @drama_llama I love that one!! I find myself checking the odds every single week!
  • I have definitely used the website https://datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer.php to help ease anxiety. I haven’t had any morning sickness so there are days I wonder if I’m even still pregnant.

Although I got lucky with the morning sickness I have the breast tenderness, exhaustion, food cravings/aversions. And as of today sciatica pain and spider veins appearing on my (at least feels) very bloated belly.
  • I'm 11 weeks today and morning sickness is really bad now, I thought It should be getting better! Had to pull over yesterday and be sick and that's the first thing I did this morning. Ugh! Is it too late to worry about Diclegis?
  • Is anyone running a constant low-grade fever? I know you're supposed to avoid your temp getting higher than 100 and so this last week when I've found myself having chills, I'll take my temperature and it's pretty consistently around 99.5-99.8. I don't feel any worse than normal so I'm not too sure what the culprit is
  • @mhavel1 I have never been told to keep my temperature from getting above 100. I don't consider anything below 101.4 a fever. If you're worried you can always ask you OB what they think you should do.

Week 10 and the morning sickness has moved to the evening. I haven’t kept down a real dinner in 3 days, I even threw up crackers today.
  • The constipation is real! When I woke up Monday (12 weeks exactly) I thought I had popped over night especially since that’s when I’ve read the uterus moves out from behind the pelvic bone. My stomach looked nothing like the bloat I normally have. (I hadn’t really pooped all weekend though) After 2 good sized bms that day I woke Tuesday with just the normal pregnancy bloat I’ve been having. I was both relieved that I wasn’t going to start showing like crazy that I’d have to tell work so early and disappointed because part of me wants to look pregnant already!
  • Still struggling with morning/night sickness feels like it got worse at 11 weeks! Let's hope it goes away in the next couple weeks!!
  • @mhavel1 - I definitely run warmer temp wise when I am pregnant.  I don't usually get concerned unless I am above 100.  That being said, unless I have other symptoms I don't check my temperature anymore because I know my body is just in overdrive.

That being said, yesterday and today are the first few days in A LONGGGG while that I have felt a bit more like my normal self.  I even went for a walk yesterday (although my calves are killing me now.  It is amazing how fast the body gets used to not working out) I think my nausea and crazy fatigue are behind me. Still tired, sore boobs and food aversions but nothing like the general grossness that has been March and most of April.  Very excited.

12 weeks tomorrow and fingers crossed the symptoms have switched over to a more 2nd trimester vibe.

Hope others start feeling much better soon.
  • I JUST WANT TO STOP PEEING! It’s honestly like every 20 minutes. No pain or anything, just constant peeing.

    😭😭😭

I’m 11w+4d and thought I was done with all the nausea and vomiting...nope!! I’m just keeping my fingers crossed for the beginning of 2nd tri. 🙏🏽
  • 9 weeks today and my all day sickness is back.  It’s hard to fall back asleep at night nauseas, but I’m not vomiting so I can’t complain!  I feel like I’m showing already, even when I suck in my bottom part of my belly is bumped out.  I certainly don’t mind it, but it was closer to 14 weeks with my son, so I’m a bit surprised!

The most challenging thing so far has been caring for my son how I want to with feeling this yucky.  Yesterday he was trying to feed me meatballs, and I wanted to cry!

Has as anyone lost symptoms when they stop progesterone suppositories?  Hoping I have that to look forward to soon!!
  • @mvc003 I feel you on the peeing 😭😭 every two hrs at night I'm up and all day long. I read that it's kidneys working overdrive to remove toxins. Should let up in 2nd trimester but it will most certainly be back in the 3rd with pressure on the bladder.

I hope the nausea let's up for you soon!!
  • @rogro118 "showing" before 12 weeks is just bloat unfortunately. The uterus doesn't move out of the pelvis until 12 weeks. I have lots of bloat too. So much bloat that I don't even try to fit into my regular pants anymore.
  • @rogro118 I noticed the week following  finishing my PIO shots and oral estrogen, my nausea and vomiting has gotten better. I haven't thrown up in 2 weeks and my nausea is very mild these days! Hopefully the same will happen for you too!

  • @gumby22c that gives me hope!
