We had been pretty set on Emmeline for our July baby. My husband mentioned Elliottt (nickname Elle) and I like it, but I’m not sure if it’s a girl name. Thoughts?
Momma to Amelia Marie (7/14) and Austin Samuel (11/17). Adding baby (girl) #3 on 7/21
Maybe look for similar sounding names. My sister's husband has a niece named Evelette. Which I think is pretty and unique. We're having a boy and are considering Elliot for the middle name. I think it's better as a boy name!
I guess Elliotte is acceptable for a girl. I personally dont like it. There are so many feminine Elle names that I prefer.
Elle Ella Elenora Elena Eliana Elsa Elsinore- it's the name of a Lake around here. I think its interesting lol Ellen - I kinda like the simplicity of Ellen Elene
I actually think the boy name for a girl thing is totally okay and sometimes can be wonderful. However, Elliot isn't my favorite boy name for a boy or a girl.
Emmeline is a beautiful name. Em, Emmie, Emma, El, Ellie are all possible nicknames too for that.
Re: Elliott for a girl?
Stick with Emmeline.
Putting a boys name on a girl is not cute, and it's getting pretty old. Elliott is pure boy.
