Hi everyone
I’m wondering if anyone here has PCOS and had false negatives? I’ve heard of them, but have also heard about mimicking symptoms. I had a negative on Friday morning but my breasts, nausea and cramps are making me doubt it (amongst other symptoms)... just wondering if anyone has been in this case before! I’ve been feeling symptoms for a good week now :S
Re: PCOS and false negative
in reality, please lurk and read threads that say things like “read this first”. It is against TOU to ask if you are pregnant.
please feel free to introduce yourself and join in our community, but bear in mind one off posts like this are generally unwelcome and not something we do.
I have PCOS and yet to see a positive test. I’ve had symptoms, too... every month and it’s just my body being a jerk! If you’re pregnant enough to have symptoms, you’re pregnant enough to turn a test.

chances are, if us PCOS girls did have a false negative, we wouldn’t be here to answer this question.
I have PCOS as well, it can create SO many issues that I’m sure you’re aware of. One is definitely typical PMS symptoms.
I hope you decide to hang around and intro on the newbie thread and read the posts at the top of the page that have a bunch of valuable info. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, use the search function ! It’s really handy.
We dont do our own posts like this just because it clutters the page.
These drivebys really are too, too much this week. Is it the moon???
OP, TB is a Community. The TTGP board, especially so. gacesinka said:

I wasn’t here for that but wanted to see if PCOS girls had false negatives :)

So what you're saying is, "I'm not interested in getting to know anyone here, or being a part of this community, I JUST WANT TO USE YOU LADIES AS MY PERSONAL GOOGLE."

SS is not something we do here.
If you got a negative result Friday, you were not pregnant at that time. My advice is run out and buy a bunch of frers and digis, and test twice a day till you get a positive tesult, OR you run out of teztzzz. In which case, go buy more tests.
But in all honest to God seriousness, and out of loving kindness to the regs here, if you have no interest in getting to know the people here, why should anyone waste their time trying to help or support YOU, buttercup? Did you even consider that?
Support is a two-way street. Takers NNA.

ETA omg Thanks for finding your way to the newbie thread, that is awesome! One off threads like this are not encouraged, but you can still come back from it with a willingness to participate and give at least as much as you take. Hope you decide to stick around....
@BusinessWife you are my new favorite person!
Everyone who's still here in the trenches deserves to have that same kind of safe haven I had when I needed it, and I have zero qualms about defending it should the need arise. ;)

maybe you could not not find the answer you were looking for, because it is not a thing? Pregnancy tests turn positive from HCG. PCOS doesn’t hide the HCG....

Really, you should post this as a question in the Chart Stalk/ Questions thread, as the board Guidelines spell out. This board is kept very organized so we all can keep track of topics/each other. There has been recent talk of creating a PCOS thread so that sufferers can help each other there. If that happens you are most welcome to interact there. Until then, you should participate in the other organized threads.
The Bump Gods will be by soon to shut this down, I’m sure.
This thread has been closed. Please do not ask the Community if you are pregnant. Instead, please visit our 1st Trimester board to discuss early possible pregnancy symptoms and the thread pinned to the top of this board called, “What does a positive pregnancy test really look like?” where members are permitted to display their pregnancy tests.
Please note that we remove posts that do not follow our guidelines and will issue warnings to users who violate the Terms of Use.
To review our Community guidelines, please visit The Bump Guidelines pinned at the top of this board. Thank you.
