  • @holly321 Awww. It sounds like you need some rest. If I'm exhausted, I usually break out the stovetop steamer and just throw in some veggies (and then return to the couch/bed until they finish). I can later use them as-is or turn them into mash for sauces and other dishes. What kind of plans did you have for your veg?

Edit: Nothing to see here, lol
  • @marebear15 I just noticed that too! Whoops :)
  • @b_1029 - I'm going to go back to work now and quit policing the board, lol.
  • @shamrocandroll Ughhh! I hate that sensation after Novocaine! I just keep slapping myself trying to "wake up" my face! Haha!

  • @flowntheloop Haha, I definitely smacked myself a few times.  I also haven't eaten anything yet because I'm pretty sure I could bite my tongue in half and not even notice.  The feeling is finally starting to come back now, though!

  • @shamrocandroll - I swear my dentist never gives me enough meds the first time. Then they have to do a bunch more shots and my whole face feels like it's going to fall off.
  • @marebear15 I don't think it's ever happened to me before this, so I wasn't remotely expecting it!  And then I was super tense and nervous the rest of the time, and my lip started shaking as she was working.  Ugh.  I hate the dentist!!!

  • @shamrocandroll I had that once at the dentist getting a 2nd shot to numb it all when I told them I could still feel it slightly. Instead of being numb for the usual 2-4 hours or so I think I still felt a little numb after 8! It was brutal.

  • TW*** my NEW boss pulled the ‘I’m pregnant! APRIL FOOLS ‘joke’ on me today and I had a huge breakdown at work once she said April fools. I cannot believe these dense people still exist. TW***

  • @kels0091 Ugh insensitive not to mention suuuuuper unoriginal of her! I mean seriously???
  • @kels0091 ugh so annoying. I saw Justin Bieber did it too...so unoriginal and he has such a large platform, NICE
  • Wow @kels0091, that's terrible. You would think people would know their audience...
  • @kels0091 I am so, so sorry you had to deal with that!  That sucks that she's your boss so you couldn't really call her out on it. It's so damn insensitive. So many hugs to you. 💚
  • @kels0091 - I'm so sorry you had that happen to you, especially at a brand new job!

@kbrown2385 - those look tempting! I LOVE rice crispy treats!

    @b_1029- that's horrible!

I've been staying away from Facebook for that reason. A former neighbor did that last year and I totally wanted to call her out on it. I was afraid of spilling my whole sob story, so I didn't.
  • @emeraldduchess
oh I called her out on it but in a condescending way. Me-“last time one of my friends did that pathetic ‘prank’ (I did air quotes) I never spoke to them again because I require my friends to have some common sense. Good thing you’re the boss hey”
and walked away, went into the back and did the ‘mic drop’ motion to one of my work friends who told me about her struggles and how much it hurt her feelings too.
I JUST shared on Facebook about beiber doing the fake announcement too. Us Canadians have been embarrassed of Beiber for a long time but this stunt just tops the list.
  • @kels0091 That’s just terrible. Why do people even think it’s funny. I knew a kid who pulled it on his mom in high school. That’s the last time I’ve heard anyone actually laugh at that “joke.”

  • None of my friends played that "joke", thank goodness. A lot of people on my newsfeed posted articles explain why fake announcements are not funny.
  • @b_1029 lol that emoji is perfect on his face.
