@egb428 I WISH. The 21y.o. is off to college in another state, he will graduate in December but I don't expect him to come back home permanently, not a great area for his industry honestly. The 18 year old will be in her senior year o HS and is extremely busy between choir, theater and her job, plus she really hates kids. I mean she'll play and love on her brother but overall she hates kids.
@egb428 I've lucked out in that department. We're not friends with the kids mom by any means but our relationship is friendly, we've had a few money issues over the years, but overall we get along well. We see each other pretty often because of the activities. As far a babysitters go I've lucked out there too. My parents are retired and live in town and are almost always willing to watch the kids(my sisters as well), that's why they moved her in all honesty. I also have a really good from from my D14 BMB that is always willing to watch DS and is so excited about this one. So free babysitters are around for me. I don't know how ppl without help do it.
How are you feeling?: Overall good. I have been luckier than most this pregnancy in that I have not really had any nausea. I have, however, been getting leg cramps. Basically, by the time I get home from work, I can’t stand being on my feet anymore.
Rants/Raves: Found baby’s heartbeat on our Doppler. Just the best feeling. Also, finally told my best friend that I will be unable to be in her wedding (I’m due two days before), and she was so understanding and excited for me. I had been carrying around a whole lot of anxiety about what her reaction would be for so long. I’m so relieved she’s not mad.
Questions: does anyone sew? I just started my first baby dress pattern. It’s adorable, but looks so complicated for something so tiny.
GTKY: What was the most memorable gift you’ve received? There have been so many, but here’s a recent one. One of my closest friends at work (who is currently pregnant with a boy) recently gave me a vintage baby dress that belonged to her as a baby and that her daughter wore when she was little. I’m a vintage collector so this was especially thoughtful gift. I love clothing with a story behind it.
@novicemama what dress pattern are you using? I’ve gotten so much use out of the geranium dress pattern by Made by Rae and it’s pretty easy, with plenty of customization options

Ooh, I’ll have to check that one out! Thanks for the recommendation. This is the pattern I’m working with. Simplicity 2392. I just traced and cut out all my pieces. I forgot how long and exhausting this process can be. 😴
Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: definitely will be finding out! We opted out of the generic testing for now, but we'll see where we stand at our next appointment. We'll definitely find out at the 20W anatomy scan.
Upcoming Appointments: April 17 for 13W check up! Can't wait to hear baby's sweet heartbeat again 💕💕💕
How are you feeling?: I've turned a corner in week 10 and am feeling much better. I have minor congestion and am still feeling sleepy throughout the day, but my appetite has come back and the nausea has gone way down 😀
Rants/Raves: Rant: our landlord is selling the house were renting from her so we're at the mercy of the real estate company when it comes to showings. The agent was 1.5 hours late on Tuesday afternoon for a showing. I left her in the front yard with her jaw on the grass after telling her she could decide whether or not she wanted to show my house with the dog inside by herself 😂.I was so angry. I've NEVER told some one off like that. #thankspregnancyhormones Raves: Feeling so much better this week! Hope it persists, but even if it doesn't it's been really nice to catch a glimpse of my usual self again for a bit!
Questions: Anyone else starting to feel better yet? As happy as I am, I'm also a bit nervous about it. I keep reminding myself that the heartbeat was found immediately last week at our first appointment (and it was very strong and healthy at 166 BPM), and that the chances that something is wrong are slim (no bleeding or any other signs of a problem).
GTKY: What was the most memorable gift you’ve received? Hmm... I work with children with ASD. Last year one of my kiddos asked his mom to help him make me a birthday card. This child has come so far in so many ways. It warmed my heart that he thought of me in advance and wanted to make me something. It's still hanging on my fridge 💕
It reads: Happy Birthday Ms. Jen. Ms. Jen is smart.
How are you feeling?: As usual, just tired. Not much else to complain about thankfully.
Rants/Raves: Also as usual - work. This week has been hell. I have been working way more hours than I usually do and it's definitely wearing on me. Things will hopefully slow down next week.
Questions: none.
GTKY: What was the most memorable gift you’ve received? DH surprised me on mother's day last year (1st mother's day) with a second wedding band. It's intended to represent DD and I will eventually pass it on to her when she gets married. She can use it as her wedding band if she chooses, or just as an heirloom ring. I had floated him the idea of 'kid bands' when I was pregnant with DD and he blew it off like I was being ridiculous. So I was super surprised. I love it.
@kindbytealikat Amen, sister...I don't know how either. My parents live less than 10 minutes away and are always around whether to help or just hang out! Jealous of your friend help though.
@cmbt2 I don't remember how to do gifs it's been so long!!! but YESSSS

Love!!!! I planted this idea with my DH too and his response was “you already have a wedding band.” 🙄 Happy for you that yours pays better attention! (Mine is notoriously a bad gift giver though. Lol)
Upcoming Appointments: my next regular prenatal appt is just over 2 weeks away. It’s already been a month since I’ve been there so I’m looking forward to it, and excited to hear the heartbeat for the first time
How are you feeling?: I thought the nausea was on the way out but I’ve had a couple of bad days again
Rants/Raves: Rant- my in-laws are so dependent on their children. They expect my husband and his siblings to do all their housework for them. @junebabyh Last pregnancy I went to Goodwill to pick up a few tops to get me through that awkward “my clothes don’t fit anymore but I don’t need maternity shirts yet” faze
@geminigirl16 Congrats on buying a house! The house hunting process is so tiring, I’m sure you’re glad to be done with it
@egb428 I want a Texas Roadhouse house salad and rolls SO BAD now. Yum.
@amber101919 I think it’s pretty common. I haven’t weighed myself in a week or so but as of that point I hadn’t gained anything. And I eat all day long
