@cammie0526 that pipe bomb story is insane!! It would totally freak me out if it happened so close! And girl, no worries about the lack of bump. I could easily still hide it at 5+ months with #1. And if you wanna post that flat tummy on HDBD, go for it! We know and like you around here It's the skinny bitches I don't know who get the side eye!

Thanks everyone! It’s prwtry awful 😭 fever hasn’t gone over 100 thank goodness. Doctor said ER for 101 or over when pregnant so I’ve been checking my temp often. I feel like I’m feeling a tad better today. Heres to hoping I’m on the mend!

I need to share a super awesome rave! Just found out that my in-home daycare provider when I was little - who I've known my whole life, ended up being my mom's BFF, was at our wedding, etc. - has an unexpected infant opening in December, right when I'll be going back to work! As a bonus she's right in between our house and our offices. One less thing for me to stress over.

Im struggling with healthy food today. I’m getting a salad for lunch WITHOUT French fries on it 😰. I realize this is a regional food thing, so I might be the only one struggling, but it is HARD.
@duewithpu2 I set myself up to eat healthy. I have fruit, and cottage cheese, and veggies all in the fridge at work. But that still doesn't stop me from going and getting an afternoon snickers!
@duewithpu2 Where do you live that french fries are regularly served on salad?!?! That is an excellent idea. The closest thing I've seen is FF served on sandwiches (Primanti Bros. in Pittsburgh, PA).
@mamaber2204 haha I live in the Pittsburgh area! We put fries on everything! When I travel I usually get a salad and a side of fries to dump on top. Google “Pittsburgh steak salad” and prepare to be amazed haha
@duewithpu2 Wow! I am impressed. And jealous! One of my best friends lives in PGH, so I've been a handful of times but she's never introduced me to this modern marvel. Yum! Now I really want french fries!

1. I finally found an acceptable daycare that doesn’t have a wait until next spring!!!! I’ve really been struggling to find one that is in our price range and has availability for January. The whole process has been such a headache. One of the ones I looked at said a spot wouldn’t be available until July 2020 and that you could only join the wait list if you took a tour. Get this: their next available day for a tour was AUGUST 2019 and they said you couldn’t join the wait list until you took a tour. So I’m sure by August, they won’t have availability until 2021 lol.
2. On our flight to FL on Monday, DH got a terrible pain in his sinuses from the pressure as we were descending. He jabbed his head into my shoulder looking for some relief and ended up getting blood on my favorite silk jacket. I felt bad for him at the time, but now I’m just sad about my jacket! We’re flying home later today and he has been instructed not to put his face on my clothes 😆. I guess that may be a little harsh, but I’ll have plenty of time to get bodily fluids all over me in the very near future!
@themadcamel Yay for finding a good daycare! That is SUCH a relief! And yeah, the waitlist debacle is unreal. I'm trying to change daycares and my toddler is waitlisted until August. I thought it would be easier post-infancy.
@themadcamel I second your frustration with daycare. The process is ridiculous here too. I'm glad you found something! We just found one we feel good about too. I'll have to back track since it is in the opposite direction from work, but it is what it is. And sorry about dh and your jacket! That would bum me out too!
@themadcamel so glad your daycare search is over! It's seriously one of the most stressful things. So glad I don't have to go through the craze of researching, tours and such the second time around. And seriously, that tour rule is BONKERS.

@themadcamel We looked at one place with DS who wouldn't put us on the waitlist until we toured, but it was only like a one week wait. BUT, when we toured they told us multiple times that we wouldn't get in unless we called them all the time asking if a spot was open or if there was no one else on the list (spoiler, there is always someone on the list). I don't even think we made it to the car before saying f them.
@zuuls_mom We have to switch daycares since DS’s is no longer accepting infants. I’m SUPER bummed about this. I really don’t like the other ones in our town, but such is life, eh? The one we want has availability NOW for a toddler and infant...but will only hold the spot for 60 days, lol. So there’s a pretty good chance that we’re gonna be screwed come January-ish next year and I might not be able to go back to work “on time”. Either that or Grammy is gonna be steppin’ it up big time! 😬
At a stoplight saw someone roll down their window to pet the dog lolling out the window of the neighboring car. The dog was halfway out the window, and shouldn't have been encouraged! But it still made me laugh.
@lillywonderland Our daycare switch situation is similar. We're changing due to unhappiness with our current daycare and are waitlisted until August. But, in August we'll only have M, W, TH, F coverage. No Tuesdays. And M is in the older room while the other three days are in the younger room (DS will be right at the age between the two, so that's ok but not perfect). So grandma is going to have to watch him on Tuesdays, which, given how flaky she can be, means I'll be taking a lot of flex time to cover here and there. Thank goodness I'll be on maternity leave not long after that starts, so hopefully he'll be 5 days/week by the time I go back to work! OH, and their infant opening is in August, not January, so they can "hold" the spot until Oct but we'll have to start paying for baby in Oct even though he won't start going until Jan at the earliest. ACK! Daycares know they have you over the barrel and they take advantage!!!
