Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Weekend 3/23-3/24

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

  • @littleredm what made your dr choose letrozole over clomid? Have fun at your pottery class tonight!
  • Month/Cycle: I don’t even know anymore. Been trying since July 2018 but my cycles have constantly been a disaster.

    CD: 57

    WAYDTGKU: HIO, pnv, vitamin D, B6, low carb, low sugar, exercise, metformin, provera, omega 3

    R/R: I think this might be my last time using provera to induce a period because it makes me so sick the entire 5 days I’m on it. I’m not sure if the potential benefit outweighs the side effects. I’m supposed to get the blue dye test on the tubes and ovarian drilling done as soon as my period comes. But it’s a flawed system here where I have to call once the period starts and then the surgery is scheduled on the following Monday or Tuesday as long as theirs availability. What irks me is I’ve made it very well known that I hate provera and get when I get the period finally, each month they have been completely booked. I also woke up to find out that one of my exes is engaged and TW his fiancé is also pregnant. He told me he never wanted those things so it’s a bit of a slap in the face.* END TW. I could rant for hours but it’s not healthy lol. Hope everyone has a great weekend 😀

    CS/Q: has anyone with PCOS tried anything other then provera to get a period ? I can’t take birth control pills because I have a blood clotting disorder.

    @Spartanrd4 my bf deals with performance pressure as well. I find what works best for us atleast is if I let the ball (lol) to be in his court.

    @littleredm I have always wanted to do a pottery class. Sounds like fun.

  • @ruby696 Good luck w/ your IUI today!

    @littleredm Enjoy date night! Pottery is cool--MH went to school for ceramics.

    @Spartanrd4 GL w/ the HIO!

    @inthewoods23 MMmmm Bonefish Grill...

    @kbrown2385 I have a super light AF on days 3-5 (like, sometimes nothing), so even tho it's not normal for you, it's not NOT normal? Perhaps due to diet changes!

    Month/Cycle: 6/5/2AL

    CD: 8

    WAYDTGKU: PNV, BBT, FF, OPK, maca, ubiquinol, RLT, eventually HIO...

    R/R: Soooo DH just started taking Zoloft a little bit ago & last night we were, um practicing for the 1 day it's worth DTD before I go on vacay during the rest of my FW + he couldn't finish + now I'm worried that the one chance we're gonna get this month it'll be the same prob. / I found this drink at the health foods store I really liked? It's called GT's Pur-erh Root tastes like root beer! And it has reishi mushroom in it, which I've had in a kombucha before and really liked a lot. And it sort of cheered me up yesterday, though I realized later it had 60 mg caffeine in it lol and was like ooooh okay.

    CS/Q: Def. would love to O on day 21, but the data is skewedddd. Go home, FF, you're drunk. (I know I can discount that cycle, but it finally thinks it knows how long my luteal phase is, so I'm just "dealing with it.")

  • @Spartanrd4 So sorry about that tough situation. You’re doing a great job being aware of being supportive. That can be so hard when really you just feel disappointed & maybe angry (from my experience). Hang in there & I Hope YH is able to feel less stressed & like it’s more fun.

    @littleredm That sounds like such a fun date night, enjoy! @inthewoods23 Hope you all can get that date night in too!

    @kbrown2385 Yay for less stress!

    @ruby696 Everything is crossed over here for your IUI! Hope it all goes perfectly for you!

    @kels0091 I’m sorry you’re feeling so sick on the meds and I REALLY hope you can get in for the needed tests this time. That has to be beyond frustrating. And I’m sorry about the news of your ex. Yeah, they’re an ex and we shouldn’t care, but stuff like that is so bothersome. Sorry.

    @kagesstarshroom I totally read your post like “Oooooh, she found a drink that tastes like root beer AND it’s healthy?! Where can I get it?” And then your comment on the caffeine. :D At least you got a nice little pick-me-up from it! Re: the Zoloft, fingers crossed for you all that it doesn’t have a lasting effect like what you just experienced.

    AFM:

    Month/Cycle: 10/6/3 AL (I really am not quite sure how to calculate this!)

    CD: 10

    WAYDTGKU: I finally copied & pasted this novel! BBT, CM, CP, PNV w/Folate, extra Iron, extra extra Vit D3, Fish Oil/DHA, Vitex, Maca, Ubiquinol, DHEA, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, Exercise, will add natural progesterone cream back in at ovulation for good measure.

    R/R: We have nice plans for today, the sun is SHINING after lots of cool rainy weather, and I’ve been getting 8 hours sleep all week! Feeling like a brand new penny  :p

    CS/Q: Not quite yet. Body appears to be gearing up earlier than normal, just like last month, but this time I’m ready!

  • *lurking*
    @kagesstarshroom MF is on Zoloft and Wellbutrin, and he definitely struggles a lot with his libido and ability to finish. I can tell immediately when he skips doses. Partly because of his mood but mostly because I can feel when he’s firing on all cylinders ;)  I’m sorry I don’t have any good advice for you other than to just go with the flow. Jump on it (ha!) when he’s naturally in the mood and just reassure him when it doesn’t happen that it’s not his fault. He takes his at night before bed so I try to get him to wait until after we HIO to take it so there’s less in his system.

  • @kels0091 have you tried myo-inositol? It’s good for regulating hormones. I know a lot of people who use the brand ovasitol which is a combination of myo inositol and d-chiro inositol.
  • @kbrown2385 I’ve never actually heard of it ! I’ll bring it up to my dr
