Re: Mental Health Check-in w/o 3/20

  • It feels kind of awkward updating here that I’m having a really good week! But that’s the crazy thing about (my) mental health is it tends to be up and down. Super excited about our A/S on Monday, but the anxiety is building. Not anticipating any issues as this baby is super active, just need to hear all clear. Also, super ready to find out the gender and start doing some shopping/planning. This poor child has a room and a crib and that’s it!

  • @thirdtimesacharm2019 Cheers to a good week! Don’t feel awkward, it’s nice to hear the good along with the bad and ugly! I completely understand the excitement and anxiety (and the need to start shopping)... Mine has been building as well with our a/s tomorrow. I hope you have a peaceful weekend leading up to Monday ☺️
  • @emqbee good luck tomorrow! Luckily I’ve bern super busy, so that’s helping the time pass!!
  • @thirdtimesacharm2019 thank you!! Busy definitely helps, the worry and anxiety kicks up a notch when I’m idle. But that’s about pretty much everything..😂
  • @thirdtimesacharm2019 so glad you are having a good week! Fingers crossed for an uneventful a/s!

  • How are you feeling this week?  I don't feel particularly anxious but my anger, patience and motivation are not doing so hot so that means my anxiety probably is more of an issue at the moment.

Is anything bothering you? Any stressful things happening or coming up? DH has been working 7 days a week since Thanksgiving. He is compensated for OT so the paychecks are fantastic but it makes things stressful at home. DD had a big appt with her neurologist on Monday and we were referred for some nerve and muscular testing. Also waiting on results for her latest lab work and dealing with results of her latest sleep study.  Her health issues are always a cause of stress/anxiety. Plus with her ADHD and anxiety we really can get under eachother's skin far too often.

What are you doing to take care of YOU this week? Good question. Today I accepted help from FIL and had him keep DS for several hours after I was done volunteering at DD's school. I did not do anything exciting but it was a nice break.

What are your goals for the next week? Take my zoloft regularly to start getting back on track with my anxiety. Avoid losing my s*** more than once a day. Take care of a few phone calls I have been procrastinating.
