Hi! So my SO and I have been TTC for a couple months now. I had the Nexplanon for 3 years and had got it taken out in October. My menstrual cycle has been regular. I haven’t had any problems with irregular periods. I was supposed to get my period on The 13th and I also took a test that day too but it came back negative. Now I’m 5 or 6 days late... should I take another test?
SN: We had unprotected sex the 2 weeks prior to me getting my expected period this month.

@justinep1018 my cycles are normally between 30-33 days. Back in December 2017, 33 days came and went. I must have tested at least 5 times, all BFN. AF showed up a week late after 39 days.
Since then I have had a few other longer cycle lengths beyond the usual 30-33 days and I also picked up on being more diligent with taking OPKs and started temping. And you know what? In the other longer cycles, I have always ovulated later during those cycles. 30-33 day cycles means O around CD16-19. A 35-39 day cycle? Right on cue I ovulate closer to CD24. I can also predict a longer cycle if I have a high stress moment prior to ovulation.
ALSO, just because you had sex 2 weeks prior means nothing. My luteal phase (the time between ovulation and AF) is 12-13 days. If I had sex 2 weeks prior to my expected AF, I'm in the beginning of my FW when ovulation hasn't even occurred.
Trust me, you're not pregnant.

Back when I worked at Walgreens some years ago I had a woman looking for some regular tampons that were on sale and I forget how the conversation went but she basically couldn't fathom the idea that women need more than regular absorbancy tampons. I usually get by with super and regular absorbancy tampons and occasionally need the super+. Other coworkers also chimed in that they need super absorbancy as well.
Some people can be really ignorant...
ETA: this customer also felt that anyone needing more absorbancy than a regular tampons had issues. No lady, some people just bleed more than others....
