Re: Newbie Intro w/o 3/18
Hi, all! I was on here my first go around, and I've been an occasional lurker since and still get warm and fuzzies whenever there's a grad, even one I don't know! Also, I know TTGP is always evolving, and I think I've gotten the gist of changes since I was around, but feel free to flame me if I screw up. I know how emotional the journey can be and I want to make sure I'm being as supportive as possible.

Ages (you and SO): We're both 28.
How many months have you been TTC?: I just had my IUD removed at the beginning of the month and I have NIR PCOS and in the past didn't ovulate on my own. So we're NTNP at the moment and seeing if my cycle returns on its own or not.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: NTNP, but we're BD without protection. I'll temp once we get serious about it. Last time Letrozole was required, but we'll see what happens this time.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I have an almost 15 m/o DD and two dogs. We live in the Portland, OR area. My job is just a job. I love food, zumba, Target...

How many months have you been TTC?
7
IUD came out in July (mirena x 2 for total of 10 years)
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Charting, CM. OPK and BBT x 3 months.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): Married for less than two years. TTC #1. Never been pregnant. One dog. Started first real job 19 months ago after many many years of education and post grad nonsense.
Of course I thought this pregnancy thing would just happen when I "pulled the goalie". Silly. My friends and coworkers sure make it look easy. I know I am still within the first 12 months of TTCing and am supposed to feel normal but it is getting hard to chillax. Hence why I am joining you ladies. Solace.
On the plus side, I have learned alot about my lady-bits with all this CM investigating and peeing on sticks and have started using menstrual cups (Ziggy). So much more comfortable than tampons for me. Although, it is like a massacre taking it out, but whatever. Trying to be green.
@lena8888 my favorite part about this board is our shenanigans! We discussed Oreos for a solid week back in the February Randoms thread and still bring them up from time to time! 😆

Hi everyone! Now that the Bump Gods have let me get out of posting purgatory, I figured it was time for an introduction. I'm back on these boards after more than 6 years, and things sure are different! Does anyone even remember the "fingernail full of feta" post, or is that way before anyone's time? Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know you all as we go through this crazy journey.
Ages (you and SO): I'm 37 (almost 38) and he's 36 (almost 37). This will be my third but his first. We aren't married yet, but, since we're, you know, old, we figured we should start trying for the baby ASAP while we figure out the engagement / wedding / marriage logistics.
How many months have you been TTC?: This is my first month and first cycle.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Temping /charting with FF, although I'm not really doing as good of a job about taking my temperature at the same time as I have in the past. Third child syndrome, I guess.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I have a DS who is a former 26 week preemie, so feel free to ask me any questions about preemies if you're curious. And then I carried my daughter to term, so I can answer questions about that, too, if anyone is curious (although I know TTGP isn't really the forum for these topics). I've recently gotten into Orange Theory, which has been fun. I'm a bit of a workout junkie.
Look forward to getting to know you all!

How many months have you been TTC?: Going to start NTNP in April, sort of started this month since my current cycle is being a bit wonky.
WAYDTGKU?: Currently I am trying to get my health in order and loose some weight. I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism last May along with some other low hormones. I am also trying to get back in the consistent habit of tracking my cycles. I have been very loosely tracking to avoid for the past 2 years and tracked to conceive prior to that.
Tell us about yourself: I participated here back in July 2015-Feb2016 and learned so much information. *TW* I've had one loss (Blighted Ovum) and one child who is 2. *End TW* All of my health issues were triggered postpartum and it was a long struggle to get diagnosed and back to a functional state. I have a blue point siamese cat (in my user picture). I'm a Graphic Designer/Photographer, but I am toying with the idea of completely switch gears and becoming a health coach, nutritional therapist, registered dietitian or something similar. I don't think I will ever have the balls to do it though, so in the mean time I will just continue helping close friends and family learn more about food and their health. I also enjoy cooking, sleeping, board games, and podcasts.

Here's the down-low. Apparently a KU'd girl was freaking out that she ate a "fingernail full of feta" because it's soft cheese which is one of the no-nos in pregnancy. But she was so scared that she'd harm her baby that she forced herself to throw up for 10 minutes and was wondering if she'd thrown it all up.
Or that's the gist I got from reading everyone's recaps.
Off topic for the thread, but related to the conversation - I was looking into the cheeses since I recently grew to enjoy goat cheese. Most of the cheeses that are considered soft cheeses are actually probably fine to eat since they can be pasteurized. As long as it's pasteurized it's okay to eat that cheese, even if it's one of the soft cheeses.

Hi everyone!! I was around in 2015-16 and absolutely love the community ❤️ I love my F17 BMB! I need to get back in so I can start getting to know some people again.
Ages (you and SO): I’m 26 and he’s 31
How many months have you been TTC?: We basically decided to start actually trying at the beginning of this year, so 3 months now. But we were NTNP all of 2018. It’s been complicated.
What are you doing to get knocked up? Charting, OPKs, vitamins/flaxseed oil/evening primrose, fertility tea, HIO
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I work in banking and my husband is a police officer. We have a daughter who is 2 years old. It took us awhile to get pregnant and **TW We lost our first baby much too early at 5 weeks. ** Now we’re TFAS. I love music, crocheting, cooking, gardening, decorating my house but it seems like I never have enough time for fun things. My daughter is a livewire and always running, questioning, learning, and talking.
Fun fact, my daughter and I are 2 days apart in birthdays. We came home from the hospital on my birthday!
My husband and I enjoy binge watching tv shows and movies.
Married: 9/2013
Love my LEO!!

Ages: 25 and 25, both turning 26 this year. Married April 2017.
Months TTC: Just started this month! I got my Nexplanon out at the beginning of the month.
What are we doing? Well, just the main part at the moment! I’m using an app to track and I’ve been taking prenatal vitamins for months. I still have t started my period since getting my Nexplanon out (and it’s been 3 weeks) so I’m waiting on my cycle to normalize again (hopefully).
About us? No kids, four dogs (we love them, we adore them, they aren’t going anywhere lol). We both work full time. I’m a Wedding Planner. We both plan to keep working full time after. We love hiking, traveling, binge watching Netflix & documentaries, and learning about/exploring our new city (just moved last July).

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): DH and I have been TTC for baby #1 since 2014. *TW we decided to stop trying after our 2nd loss in 2016 *. During this break we traveled the country, stayed in Tennessee for a year to take care of his mother and finally landed in Central Florida. He's a PI and I'm a 911 dispatcher for the local sheriff's office. Since we're well established now, we've decided to TTC again.
You have my dream job!
Where I live, I’d have to take a 3 hour ferry each way in order to do the job for 12 hour shifts, 4 days a week. So it’s just not something I would be able to do.
Huge kudos to you for doing it !!
