I breastfed my DD, who turns 1 tomorrow, for 8 months. Got my first period January 1st, next one February 1st, now nothing March 1st and nothing since! 11 days late. I have taken two test and both negative. How long should I wait to take another? Could I still be pregnant?

It's against TOU to Sk if pregnant. Your cycles can be way off after BF'ing and you just may be irregular, yet. No one can tell you. Test again in a week, if you dont get your cycle within a few months and still getting negative pregnancy tests, let your doctor know.
Same happens going off BC. Your body will fluctuate. Do you know when you O'ed?

when your cycle comes back it is normal for it to be very irregular. So unless your temping, and or using OPK's you won't have a good idea of when you ovulate. Also your LP may be much shorter initially. negative tests mean not pregnant.

Also, I’m confused why you would expect AF on the first of every month when not every month has the same number of days? She doesn’t go by a calendar... Jan 1 to Feb 1 is 31 days, so if you have a regular 31 day cycle then AF would be due March 4, not March 1.
As everyone else has said, many people have irregular cycles, especially when breastfeeding. If the tests are negative, then you are not currently pregnant. If you are actually that late for AF, you should be able to turn a test by now, so you likely ovulated late or haven’t ovulated at all.
I know this is a older posting but for anyone reading this in the future "negative tests mean not pregnant" is not always true. It can simply be too early for hormones to register a positive. This pregnancy I got a faint line at 8 days late. And didnt have an instant positive until 10 days late.

If that's the case, you ovulated later than you think you did.
Negative tests do, in fact, mean that you're not pregnant at that time.
FYI for the record people, I've gotten POSITIVE PG tests with blood test HCG levels at 15 and below. So yes.. if you're PG (HCG level > 5) then you can get a BFP.
@dpchickens I have too. I had a level of 13, took a test a week later, it was positive and the next day my blood work was 4. It was a dollar store test too.
Re: 11 days late and negative tests?!
Postpartum cycles are wacky. If the tests are negative you are not pregnant.
