  • @wanderlost So sorry to hear about your loss, but glad you are feeling okay enough to join us here.

@CraftyG Sorry to hear about your losses, but good to see you joining us here--do you both live in the States now?

    @bows22 Welcome! I second wondfos!

@colelleI tracked my cycle via an app, FMC, which just happened to be an app that's connected to FF, so I was able to transfer my cycle data over to FF when I started TTC. The major difference is now I track BBT & CM, additionally. Haven't ever tracked CP before/yet. Anyway, welcome!

  • Wow, lots of intros this week!

Hi @bows22 ! Now I’m curious, what do you do that keeps you so busy this time of year? My guess, accounting related.

@colelle you’ve got your hands full! Wow! Tell me about your chickens, please! My H almost got me a bunch of chickens last year as a gift. I was so glad he didn’t! I have dogs that would love to snack on some nuggets!

@wanderlost I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you find that this community is able to help you through.

@CraftyG I am so sorry for your losses but so glad you have come out of hiding! I also tend to post at odd times due to my schedule so maybe we’ll keep each other company!

@mstew77 yikes! You are brave for putting the idea of twins out in the universe. 😂

@bobbyflies2020 ooooh research scientist, now you’re talking my game! What field is your H in?

GL to all, may your stay be short!
  • @_khaleesi yes I’m in public accounting! the long hours can be rough but it’s so flexible so it makes up for it
  • @bows22 my husband used to be in public accounting and it sucked! Good luck with busy season!
  • @_khaleesi I love my chickens! But we only have seven, so it's not too much work. They are pretty easy to maintain, BUT I don't have to do the dirty work (like scooping poop). They are laying so many eggs right now....we are begging people to take them, because we just can't eat them all.
  • @colelle that seems normal from what I see around me, too many eggs! I can get fresh eggs from across the street, no thanks H. And I would totally be the one stuck scooping poop and providing care in general. And of course the one crying my eyes out when a dog gets one. Pets eating pets, that’s the worst! 😂
  • @colelle I wish you were my neighbor, as I would totally take some eggs! <3
  • @_khaleesi We are lucky that our dogs aren't very smart (bless their hearts) or aggressive. If anything, they are afraid of the chickens. They are both English Bulldogs, and just don't care about much.

@kagesstarshroom I wish you were too! I really need to be more social and make friends with our neighbors so I can start pushing my eggs on them.
  • Hello!

    Ages: I'm 29, my husband is 32
TTC Months: This is our first! I've started lurking hardcore during my TWW and am excited to connect!
WAYDTGKU: Tracking my cycle in an app + prenatal vitamins
Tell us about yourself: I work at a startup and when I'm not working, I love Bravo, taking dance classes, -and trying new restaurants!

@bows22 - I'm having the same issue with my cycle and taking way too many HPTs!

@colelle - That's so lovely how you've immersed yourself in your child's interests!

@wanderlost and @CraftyG I'm so sorry for your losses, but optimistic for the journey ahead.

@mstew77 - wow! Twins in the family must keep things exciting!

@bobbyflies2020 - hope your TWW is going well! It's so hard to be patient (at least for me)!

@whitealbum29 - wow, it seems like you've been learning a ton! I'm sure I could learn a lot from you!
  • Hi, all! I'm hoping I'm not too late to this post! I think this is the most recent Newbies page!
I have been using Bump as a resource on our TTC journey, but this is my first post. I'm excited to join the discussion with you ladies.

Ages (you and SO): 28 and 30

How many months have you been TTC?: This is fourth; I'm 10DPO.

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: I have been taking prenatals for four months, last month, I started taking CoQ10 and fish oil. I have been tracking with Glow, and testing with OPKs around ovulation. I just started temping yesterday, to see if I can add some more stress to this process!

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I also live in New England, @whitealbum29! My husband and I have a small zoo at home - three dogs (two labs and a border collie) and a cat. They keep us pretty busy, to say the least! I am an account manager for a packaging company - we supply wine bottles and such to wineries and breweries along the East Coast. When I'm not traveling (for work and for play!) I love kayaking, hiking and playing board games!
  • @kagesstarshroom thank you! No we’re both in the UK I’ve just always preferred the bump over some of our ones, the community and snark is what keeps bringing me back 😂

@_khaleesi aww that’s lovely! When I get a bit more comfortable I’m sure I’ll be posting more 😘

@colelle I would love to be your neighbour! I can’t wait till we have a bigger garden so we can get chickens!
  • @agesandstages - Ha I feel like I've enrolled in a self taught biology class the past few months but really it's probably just because I understood so little about what was going on with my body every month before I started ttc! Even though I've generally kept track of my cycles and paid attention to my health, I'm so annoyed that I spent so many years not fully understanding the different phases we go thru during a cycle, whether or not I was ovulating etc...so I had to spend months figuring it out after we started trying. Water under the bridge now I guess! :)

@2labsandacollie - Hi! We're in southern Maine where there are so many breweries so I imagine you might work with a lot of places around here! I always pictured myself someplace warm like Southern CA after leaving NYC a couple years ago but New England has so many charming things about it!
  • edited March 2019
@whitealbum29 no kidding! Yes, our office is in Portland. I grew up here. Maine is very charming! I love the food and beer culture here 😊
  • Ha! Portland for us too. We love it!
