Re: Newbie Intro w/o 3/4
Hi everyone!
Ages (you and SO): 34 & 37
How many months have you been TTC?: 2nd cycle overall, 1st cycle AL
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Sex. 😀 We used FAM over a decade to avoid so BBT is old hat and doesn’t feel like extra effort but I guess that counts. 🤷♀️
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): We’re pretty boring. No kids. 2 German Shepherds. I’m in healthcare analytics and H is a firefighter. I’m currently obsessed with Marie Kondo’ing the whole house. 🙃 I love gym time, specifically weight lifting (hate anything cardio). Deadlifts are my favorite.
Ages: I am 33, Partner is 34.
How many months of TTC: I just had my IUD removed last week, so I am taking a couple months to allow my body to regulate before we officially TTC.
Edited to add: WAYDTGKU?: I have started changing my diet specifically for those with PCOS, I'm starting inositol and have been taking PNV. As I said before, I had my IUD removed, so I'm trying really hard to get my body on track.
Tell us about yourself: I am a high school English teacher and partner is a store manager for a shoe store. We have a soon-to-be 2yo, E. I got involved in CrossFit in October, after being a powerlifter for ages, and I've really enjoyed it! The Crossfit Open started two weeks ago and I'm loving the opportunity to challenge myself. I'm obsessed, so I will warn that I will talk about it a lot. I was diagnosed with PCOS after close to a year of TTC E and eventually had to conceive via IUI. I am currently changing my diet and discussing treatments with my OB to see what we can do to not need medical intervention this time around.
And don't be scared...the main rules are to limit talk of your child to the TFAS thread and use *TW* if you talk about them anywhere else (here is totally fine)...don't ask if you're pregnant...and give as much support as you get!

@_khaleesi love the SN and I also love weight lifting and hate cardio
Also @kimmer1412 / @_khaleesi +1 for only liking weights but no cardio. I hate the actual CrossFit part of CrossFit but know I wouldn’t do any cardio otherwise 🤷🏼♀️
I love my job! We are currently working on my favorite unit: Romeo and Juliet. (I personally prefer Hamlet, Julius Caesar, or Much Ado, but R+J is required!) They have really been getting into it. We're about to write an essay about how they felt about the ending (most of them have really hated it) and argue what they think Shakespeare's main message is (theme). We also watch clips from various versions and write a media analysis.
I am also a grammar nerd, so I really enjoy my grammar lessons!
+ @b_1029 boooo cardio. I tell myself I’m basically doing HIIT with the weightlifting and that’s good enough! Cardio is just so borrrrring to me!!! Andplusalso, if I need to go somewhere 5 miles away that’s why I have a car.
@binkiesandbiceps I totally hear you on fear of breaking the rules. I kind of already broke them by posting before intro-ing. 😀 I was on the TTCAL thread before I was ready to intro. They greeted me with open arms anyways and helped lift me up. 🙂 So there is some flexibility and understanding.
Ages (you and SO): Me 26 & DH 28
How many months have you been TTC?: not trying not preventing 10~12 months; OPK+BBT tracking 2 months
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: OPK+BBT & doing IF testings these two cycles
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): Got married 3 years ago; TTC #1 for almost a year. Just started IF testings with my OB... Everything looks fine so far (day 3 tests, day 21 tests and DH's SA all normal). Checking if my tubes are clear this week. I love going to the symphony performances. DH loves K-Pop.
