I just had a random thought and went looking for this discussion.. it dawned on me I hadn't started my own thread yet.. freakin Monday.
I just wanted to say that I cant tell if I've lovetit'ed anything so I haven't been doing it as much on on threads I've visited a few times because I don't want to unlovetit. I don't see profile pictures anymore. I've tried to reload mine but it doesn't seem to fix the problem - am I the only one not seeing the profile icons?
Me 32 H 33 TTC#1 January 2016 BFP 5/16/2016 DD Born 1/27/17
@moon1417 I can’t usually see the profile pics on mobile, but I can see the little number that says how many love tits there are. So if I forget if I’ve already loved something, I click it again and see if the number goes up or down. If it goes down I fix it 😂
@moon1417 Yes!! I cannot see profile pics, occasionally some of them will appear, but usually just the annoying error. Also, the problem seems to have started after that big outage last week. So annoying that they were down for hours for "maintenance" and only seemed to have broken things.
@moon1417 same here. no profile pic, but I can see user names when they've loved a post. like I can see that you loved dogmomma's post above.
I'm also having issues just logging in on a desktop, sometimes it works, sometimes it tells me there's an error and I have to close the browser and start again. BUT, my mobile app seems to be working properly atm (knocks on all of the wood).

Hey everyone! My random is that I am in a really bad funk and can't get out of it. I am struggling a bit emotionally and mentally lately and trying to pull myself out of it.
@lilmamabebe3 Welcome back! I saw on Monday B*fest that you got a job offer today, so congrats on that!
I hope I'm not out of place saying this, and I know nothing about your situation but... hormones are the worst, sometimes they stop you from getting the help you need because you just keep blaming things on them, instead of wondering if it's something more. I've definitely been there.
We are all here for you, to help as much as internet strangers can. I hope it gets better for you soon.
@moon1417 yesss having that problem sporadically on the app. Tho I’ve basically given up on trying to love tit things because it gives me a “Permission Problem” error about 75% of the time anyway. Not that I don’t love what ppl say...I’m just not allowed to show it lol.

Thank you! I am excited to talk to my OB about it tomorrow, and I do go to therapy weekly. My husband is also great and has called me a few times today (and every other day for the last week) just to check in. I am not in a dangerous space, I am just not feeling my normal self. This is typical of pregnancy for me, so even though it sucks, I have been through it, and my support system has been through it so we're all trucking along together!
@sourlemon I have mixed emotions about seeing a new BMB... its fun to progress but I also know how fast the end is going to come and I NEED every minute between now and then. That being said I wouldn't mind fast forwarding to spring weather and then pushing the pause button!

Anyone else have an anterior placenta? I haven't felt much yet (18+2) and found out today that the placenta location is the cause. I'm really hoping I'll start feeling more in a couple of weeks. The kicks and movement (before they started hurting) were my favorite thing about being pregnant with my daughter.
@mkrel thank you, and yes I had an anterior placenta last pregnancy. Really hoping not to have the same again, because it sucked not getting to feel the baby as much. Hopefully yours moves and you start feeling more!
@mkel - I did with DD1. I didn't really feel movement until 20 weeks. You will definitely start to feel stuff around then, it just won't break your ribs and you won't see as many identifiable body parts when baby is moving.
@mkrel I had an anterior placenta last time and again this time. Last time I very occasionally felt something during the second tri but did not feel regular movement until the 3rd tri and never completed a set of kick counts. This time I occasionally feel some pressure but no real movement and am prepared for it to be a while...

@AKuzReve there's supposed to be one on Wednesdays but the bumpie who's in charge of it hasn't checked in in months. There are quite a few threads that seem to have fallen by the wayside because the person responsible is MIA (or officially said good-bye) I figured that the ones we really care about get started anyway (like HDBD) but I think it's a shame because some I don't think people even realize are supposed to exist, like mental health or plus size moms check-in
I would also be interested in a mental health check in. I’ve struggled with anxiety for a long time. Not being able to achieve normal activity level (I’ll usually push myself to the max) triggers my anxiety, which increases my nausea/heartburn and fatigue, so I do even less. It’s a viscous cycle I’ve fallen into more than a few times this pregnancy. Then I tend to lash out in anger... which only makes more problems 😢.
First Time Mom Check-In - supposed to be started by someone who GBCBed, hasn't been started since she left, I feel weird starting it since I'm a STM+, also I hate coming up with GTKY, one a week it enough (although since there is no overlap, I could use the ones from STM+ check-in that are not kid related...)
GTKY- @olivemomma is always good about this one, probably will go up soon
High Risk Pregnancy Check-In - the person that's supposed to be in charge has ghosted, hasn't posted since the end of January
Ten Things Tuesday - the person that's supposed to be in charge has ghosted, hasn't posted since the end of January. I was actually thinking of posting this today to get it started again, and realized that I have no idea what it is.
And I think I did already warn you all, I'm an internet stalker....
@mrosek91 - Thanks for posting. I would be willing potentially to take one on, but the one that makes the most sense for me (High Risk) is the exact reason I'm a little skiddish right now
@mrosek91 I'll out myself for not posting my thread (AMA check in) in a few weeks. Barely anyone is commenting on it anymore, and with all of the other check ins I just figured it wasn't a popular enough one to keep up with. I personally think we have too many check ins though and people are just posting on those and not more generalized inclusive threads so I don't know who half of the people in this group are. Just my 2 cents.
@peachy0709 since it hasn't been happening I don't know if that means there's limited interest or people just don't realize it's supposed to. If you're interested you can definitely post it today and/or other weeks without committing, I mean the **read this first** says if a post isn't up by noon, anyone can post it, which is what happens with a bunch of the more popular ones where the "owners" ghosted.
@mkrel I understand, and I do think that the point of this board is to make it into something that we feel is useful. The threads do not have to be set in stone. I just think it's a shame when someone says wouldn't it be nice to have thread xyz, and it's a thread we're "supposed" to have. But then again I read every thread whether it applies to me or not, and I still don't remember who some of the less frequent poster are, so I can understand the feeling that there are too many check-ins.
@mrosek91 I could take on the FTM check in (if I hopefully remember). I think I’m signed up for Why my SO is a..., which is the day after Why my SO is awesome so they didn’t get many posts.
@dogmomma096 Go for it! I definitely understand stopping a thread if it's not getting any love, and I did think it was strange that those 2 were so close together. Although I think the SO is awesome hasn't been going up because that poster is also MIA. Maybe if we want to keep just one the "Why my SO is a..." would give people more flexibility to respond. Anyone else have thoughts?
@mkrel - I had anterior with DD1 and really didn't feel much until close to 20 weeks. I had it checked at last week's appt (16 wks) since I still haven't felt much and I don't have it this time ... so now I'm stressing because I feel like I *should* be feeling more and I'm just not. So - at least you can blame yours on your placenta

Just checking in with everyone--I had my appt today and baby girl's heartbeat was 155 so that was great! I was supposed to get a growth scan because of my thyroid problems but the ultrasound tech was out sick today so I have to go back tomorrow when there will be a few others in the office. Obviously I cried about that.
I also brought up my anxiety with my doctor and she wants me to go on Zoloft for it. She showed me a few studies where stress / anxiety / depression can be physically more harmful to the baby than zoloft (which is the most studied medication in pregnancy). I almost let her go without bringing it up because I was embarrassed and upset and then I lost it and cried so hard and she was great. I will start it tomorrow and see how it goes. I know it takes a while to work at least it's something. And on a positive note, I can feel her moving like a little worm right now and it's the best. I love baby movement!
If anyone else is struggling, I know the feeling and am happy to chat. Don't go through it alone. This is the third time this has happened to me (it didn't with losses) and then after I have the baby I usually bounce back a few months later. It affects everyone differently.
@lilmamabebe3 - Thank you for sharing, I may talk to my OB at the end of the month. I feel anxiety creeping up and I don't know if I could deal with several more months like this (especially knowing how bad my PPA was after DD1). I hope you get your scan tomorrow and no tears

@lilmamabebe3 huge hugs to you for taking the step of looking for help! I'm on and off meds every so often (it hasn't happened with pregnancy/postpartum but certainly could at any minute!) and I'm a big fan of seeking help!
And I'm with @mkrel that I felt we had too many check-ins and theme posts on the board at first so it was hard to get organic conversations going, so having some of those threads fall by the wayside felt natural--and now that it's been a while we can see what our needs are and build some of them back up, like a Mental Check-In! (And from personal experience, soon enough we'll need a GD check-in, which could be more of a monthly thing rather than weekly, and I could see that schedule working for other themes, e.g. AMA.) But, e.g., having two weekly threads about SOs or having both "Ask a STM" and a "weekly questions" thread felt clutter-y.
@lilmamabebe3 I am so glad you asked for help! You are a strong woman! When I asked for help during my pregnancy with DS, as soon as I got the words out I started uncontrollably crying. It felt like a huge weight was lifted off of me. Mental health struggles are brutal.

@BigBadWolf12 I’ve doubted things too... like the baby growing 4 inches between week 20 and 21, or the “orange” week where baby was also the size of a magic eight ball... ummm... I’ve never seen an orange that big - more like a grapefruit around here 😂😂
Hey ladies. Sorry I was MIA the last couple of days and missed the GTKY thread yesterday. I hope since we had the extra birth stories one from last week you all will give me a pass. I’ll try to think of a fun one for next week!
ALSo - I suppose randoms is the best place for this, but didn’t anyone else see the new GOT trailer that officially released?! I’m way too excited for April 14.
and yes I’ve had an anterior placenta with both of my previous pregnancies and I think I have one this time. I have felt some movement, and a few nights ago I felt a ton. But then the baby seems to find a hidden home and I won’t feel much for a few days at a time. It’s frustrating!
@olivemomma YESSSSSS to GOT trailer! Everything looks amazing! I can't wait for April. We're going to need a weekly thread to discuss once the season starts!
@lilmamabebe3 I'm so glad you talked with your doctor. And yes, Zoloft is so, so common in pregnancy and breast feeding. (the general recommendation is to give it at least 6 weeks of daily use to reach the full therapeutic dose) Good for you for overcoming that fear and sharing your feelings!
I can definitely pick up a thread here and there. I agree with a lot of others, I fall into so many categories, Group, AMA, PAIL, FTM. and I seemed to be saying the same thing over again. I think like @cato99 some of those may be better monthly check-ins.
@olivemomma So excited about it. DH and I are trying to do a full rewatch before the new eps start. I'm hoping we'll have a GoT thread to chat about it once it is back.
