What's going on this week?
Baby has arm buds, a tail, and a giant noggin. As for me, my nausea is ramping up. Oh, also, baby is the size of a Battleship peg!

How far along are you?

Anyone have an appointment this week?
HA! Not me! My first appointment is still eleventy billion days away.

Cravings/Symptoms?
I'm craving salt like none other, and anything carb-y and junk-y. I'm feeling pretty nauseous but I feel better when I eat, so I'm eating nonstop 😐

Rants/Raves/Randoms?
No rants.
Rave: I'm still pregnant! ❤ PGAL anxiety is getting better too, so I'm starting to feel more confident. ❤

GTKY (stolen from Sep BMB): What fictional place would you most like to visit?
Hogwarts!!! My H and I went to London and went to several of the "real" HP places (Kingscross Station, some places where the movies were filmed, etc). It was very cool. We also discussed how amazing it would be when our kid(s) turn 11 years old (assuming they've read/enjoyed the books), to send them a letter from Hogwarts and take them to the Wizarding World in Universal Studios. I'm so excited, only 11 years and 8ish months to go! 😂

Anyone have an appointment this week? Repeat beta tomorrow

Cravings/Symptoms? Heartburn showed up yesterday. The last pregnancy I had heartburn with was ds so I gladly welcome it. I also seem to be having an aversion to meat, so tonight’s steak dinner should be awesome.

GTKY (stolen from Sep BMB): What fictional place would you most like to visit? Like @galentine, Hogwarts. I want to go to olivanders and have my wand choose me, drink butterbeer in hogsmeade, ride the hogwarts express. I need to do/see all the things. DS is only 3.5 and I’ve been counting down the days it will be acceptable to start reading the books to him.

What's going on this week? Officially turned a FRER today!

How far along are you? 3w3d

Anyone have an appointment this week? Trying to schedule my first.

Cravings/Symptoms? I've felt KU since 5-6 DPO. This is my 3rd time around, so I think my body just knows. Ridiculously tender breasts and the nausea/indigestion were my signs this time.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? DS is home not feeling well, so we're just taking it easy. If he feels any better, we'll go to the birthday party he was invited to later.

Questions? Just to be clear, no announcement of BFP anymore in TWW? It was different a couple years ago, so just wanted to confirm.

Hey ladies! Yay to another week, hope that everyone is doing well.

What's going on this week? Nothing new, I feel even less pregnant than before if that's possible. I had a slight twinge in my boobs this morning and I grasped them and squeezed so happily until the ache went away... I'm a psycho clearly

How far along are you? 6wks 5days (according to TB but I'm not sure)

Anyone have an appointment this week? I wish, this will be a teasing question until I FINALLY see a doctor on March 5th

Cravings/Symptoms? No (other than a flash of boob soreness this morning which I embraced), I have been both slightly hungrier but also get full faster, if that's a symptom

Rants/Raves/Randoms? Woo it's almost the long weekend and I've decided to leisurely work from home today and tomorrow

Questions? Does anyone else not have a cute name for "it" yet? I feel rude just calling it it, and TB asked for it's name and I called it Just Baby... Who does that?! I need help

GTKY: What fictional place would you most like to visit? I kind of wish I could be different, but the second I read this question my brain and heart went HOGWARTS, so I'm not going to lie. Man that would be amazing

@marbellie You are totally not a psycho!! I do the same thing so no worries

As to nickname, I think we decided on "jelly bean" or "lima bean" for DS after my first ultrasound based on how the picture looked.

What's going on this week? Nothing much.

How far along are you? 5+5 (LMP); more likely 5+3 (O)

Anyone have an appointment this week? Nope, not until 2/28 (only 20,160 minutes / 336 hours / 14 days to go)

Cravings/Symptoms? Still boob tenderness, some aches and pains, sorry TMI (constipation... need DH to go get me some more Benefiber, had this last PG too).

Rants/Raves/Randoms? All I want to do is lay down and sleep! I keep freaking myself out at every little stabby pain (they definitely aren't terrible but in the moment, it feels like it) and since they keep mostly coming from one side, it totally has me anxious that what if it's an ectopic PG. I don't have bleeding so I *think* my panic is just manifesting itself.

GTKY (stolen from Sep BMB): What fictional place would you most like to visit? Love that we have so many HP nerds here. I would also love to live in that world, visit Hogwarts and be a wizard!! Another cool place would be the GOT realm (King's Landing, Winterfell, the Wall).

@marbellie, lol no. That reference came from this "Manly" baby sizer. It has 3 or 4 different categories. I go through all my apps and websites at the beginning of the week and just pick whatever I find most fun/interesting!

@stephanie123456, 14 days to go, we can make it!! Mine might actually be 13 days now, I think. You have my sympathy for the fatigue, I'm struggling too. I have been so worried I might accidentally fall asleep while sitting up at my desk, working!

@marbellie, we actually do have a nickname for this little battleship peg. I don't know if the nickname will stick throughout the pregnancy or not, but it makes it fun to talk about without having to use the actual words, you know? Plus the Ovia app I'm using had a spot where we could enter the nickname, so when it says something like, "Baby's arms are growing in today," it replaces "baby" with the nickname I entered. It's adorable!

@galentine @stephanie123456 I’m not 100% if it’s a legit meat aversion or not. Not wanting to eat dinner the other night is what made dh think I was pregnant, so I’ll give it a shot tonight. I’ve been eating ham sandwiches (I know, lunch meat 🙄) so it may have just been that meal lol. If anything dh and ds will get more steak to eat and I’ll enjoy the tomato salad...and probably a ham sandwich 🤣.

@kbrown2385, oooh a ham sandwich sounds delicious! Have you ever made funeral sandwiches? You place Hawaiian buns in a glass baking dish, fill the buns with sliced ham and swiss or provolone, and brush the tops with a mixture of melted butter, dijon mustard, Worcestershire, and poppy seeds. And then bake. They come out all melty and caramelized and OMG so good. I might need to make those this week!!

@galentine How have you found all the hilarious baby size trackers?! ..Also, why are they called funeral sandwiches? Sounds delicious, but why??

@kbrown2385 I had an serious aversion to red meat all throughout my second pregnancy. Ironically, I was able to eat chicken just fine, which is not my thing in my real-non-pregnant life. (I can't get the smell of raw chicken out of my nose even when I'm eating it cooked).

What's going on this week? Had my first appt today! Just a blood draw and meeting with NP, which lasted all of 5 min. Scheduled first sono and appt with OB for March 4th.

How far along are you? 5w4d

Anyone have an appointment this week? YES, see above.

Cravings/Symptoms? My sense of smell is off the charts as of yesterday.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? It's been a busy week. Everyone in my house is sick. Ready for the weekend!

GTKY (stolen from Sep BMB): What fictional place would you most like to visit? I am not really familiar with all the wonderful things about Hogwarts--I've only read the first book and seen the first movie. And I like the GoT idea, but I would not want to visit The Wall. Aside from hating snow/cold weather, that's a scary place in my book.

So I'll say the Peach Pit (does that answer show my age??).

@junebabyh, I agree, the name stinks! I think they're called funeral sandwiches because they used to be frequently served (or maybe still are?) at church luncheon following funerals. I really should just call it something else, though!

@galentine Did you ever visit Oxford when you were in the UK? They filmed the parts of first 2 movies there and some of the colleges are open to the public (for a fee) so you could walk around their little campus.

@marbellie To not make you freak out from your lack of symptoms, I just wanted to say that I had pretty much none with DS and it’s looking like I’m having even less this time around. Completely normal also!

@stephanie123456 Rain much there today, eh?? It’s raining SO MUCH HERE. Also, we went to Croatia a few years ago and could have gone do a tour of some of the GOT sites there, but we didn’t since we haven’t seen it. Lol. But I just did some research and we’ve been to this one place and never knew it (Pic is not me, I found it online)

@lillywonderland, we did not go to Oxford. We only had a few days in London, but I would love to go back for a longer trip someday to see more!

@junebabyh, what is Peach Pit? (Maybe I'm showing my age too, LOL). But I just thought of another fictional place I'd love to go: Pizza Planet from Toy Story! 😂

@galentine THIS IS WHY I LOVE YOU SO!! Toy Story is straight up mine and DS' fave Pixar/Disney movie and Pizza Planet looks amazing. Full disclosure, my first job was at Chuck E. Cheese and it was so much fun. I could literally eat pizza for every meal (except right now when nothing sounds good), I got to play all of the games, run the birthday parties and work the prize counter. I didn't even mind dressing up as the mouse either. Best three years of my adolescent life.

@galentine- Oxford is worth visiting in its own right. I didn't know there were tours, @lillywonderland, but I remember the awe I felt on the grounds of Christ Church. When I was in Edinburgh, we ate at The Elephant House where JK Rowling wrote the books. I remember looking out the window at the castle, which must have inspired her to an extent.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? We need to get our house in the market but the snow just won't melt so we can get all the outside stuff done... Plus side is we went mutual on an amazing house though!!

How far along are you? 7 weeks, 3 days.

Anyone have an appointment this week? I had one yesterday, and it went well! The heartbeat picked up from 100 bpm last week to 135 yesterday. They also took about seven vials of blood from me, which was not at all fun.

Cravings/Symptoms? I'm craving carbs mostly. My nausea is ramping up, so I've been sucking on peppermints and Preggie Pop Drops, which seem to help. I also received some Sea Bands, but haven't tried them yet.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? The constant, mild nausea is keeping me from accomplishing anything other than the bare minimum required. But honestly, I'm just so happy that little Peanut looks good, so I'm trying not to complain. Plus, my macaroni intake has increased, which is a huge rave because who doesn't love macaroni?

Questions? Does anybody have an opinion about cord blood banking? I got a paper on it from the doctor, but don't know much about it.

GTKY (stolen from Sep BMB): What fictional place would you most like to visit? Obviously Hogwarts, but I'd also love to visit some places in Lord of the Rings like Lothlorien, Mirkwood, and The Shire.

@elle-0409, I have not been to universal since they added HP Wizarding World. I actually think the one and only time I was there, the HP part was just being constructed. I love theme parks, so I really need to go! And I'm so sorry your nausea is ramping up. I'm feeling that way too, I'm basically useless because I just feel sick all day. I'm also trying not to complain, because I feel so very lucky to be here (and to have a promising symptom that reminds me I'm pregnant!) You'll have to share your review of the sea bands, I was actually just looking at those on amazon this moring. Hope they help!

I go back next Thursday(21) for another US with the high risk doc Cravings/Symptoms? Chicken strips and pizza, with DS I couldn’t stand poultry in any way/shape/form, so I find this an interesting craving. Eggs sound repulsive, that’s nothing new I’ve had that with every pregnancy. Rants/Raves/Randoms? Sore boobs started yesterday, which was a welcomed symptom since the lack of symptoms has really been screwing with my head. Questions? Cravings/Symptoms? Some symptoms are kicking in. The rhinitis is holding steady so far. But leg/foot cramps and intense insomnia started last night.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? I managed to lose 2 lbs in the last couple of weeks. All for nothing I hope.....
