I thought I felt something weeks ago but nothing since. I'm also having a hard time finding her heartbeat with my doppler so I'm absolutely freaking out.
At this point I've felt a couple little jiggles but it's soooo faint that I can see why I didn't notice anything until 24 weeks with DS. We'll all soon be cursing late night somersaults in a few months.
@cbeanz A taste of things to come DS was always rocking and rolling at bedtime, it was so hard for me to settle into bed comfortably. Lo and behold he still likes to party at bedtime haha.
@cindler I'm a STM and almost 17 weeks and I haven't felt anything yet either. My OB told me I likely won't feel anything until closer to 21 weeks at least. Once it starts though it's amazing!
I think I maybe felt baby a couple times in the last 10 days. It's so light and fleeting that I could very well be making it up. It's been just after waking in the morning both times. Once I pay attention to see if I'm dreaming, nothing.
I am 18 weeks today and still nothing. My dr. says it will be about 20 to 21 weeks before I could feel something, plus where my placenta is placed might make it take a little longer =( BUT.. as of 16 1/2 weeks I was able to pick up her heart beat on my at home Doppler so I am ok with that
I am 17+5 with my 3rd and believe I’ve been feeling little pitter patters for about 2 weeks... not daily and not consistently which makes me more nervous... but I try and remind myself it’s still very early and baby is still very tiny :-)
16 weeks and little girl makes herself known! To the point where my husband can even feel her sometimes. Yesterday morning I woke up with her rolled into a ball and when i pushed on her she moved. This was her in a little ball! Lol
Pretty sure this kid gave me a sharp poke yesterday morning when I was contemplating whether I could sneak in another five minutes of sleep. That's about five weeks before I ever felt something with M. Can't wait to see him on my 20 week sono.
14 weeks with my second and I swear I have felt little tiny bumps a few random times of the week and then nothing for a few days after.. pretty crazy to think I have a second little bub in there 😫💞
We could visibly see movement from the outside of my belly last night (I was standing up) and my hubby could feel the movement with his hand! Crazy!! It feels so early for that
first time i didn't feel until 16-18 weeks and this one i felt him around 12-13 weeks and my husband just felt him for the first time last night from the outside while i was laying on my back. 17 weeks 5 days yesterday
17w today and after reading all your examples of what it feels like when the baby moves, I am pretty sure we both felt it last night when I was lying down. I pressed my hand across my lower belly and felt a few patters against it and then a swish across beneath my belly button. I had H put his hand there as well as he said he felt the patters.
Definitely feeling more movement here at 17 weeks 2 days. Felt hiccups for the first time this morning! And finally my jeans are too tight! You'd think being my third I wouldn't be so anxious lol, but I love to look pregnant and not just pudgy😉
@babyginjuly, I haven't felt anything either. I thought I did, but I it was just gas I think. At my last appt they told me I had a posterior placenta which means I should feel things sooner, but nothing:/
Momma to Amelia Marie (7/14) and Austin Samuel (11/17). Adding baby (girl) #3 on 7/21
@ameliabedelia-2 My AS is scheduled for 2/19 so hopefully I will see her moving around and feel her at the same time so I can make a distinction if it's her movements.. but two weeeeeks feels like a lifetime
I feel movement everyday now and yesterday actually felt some distinctive kicks. But according to my midwife, this one is "feisty". My oldest son never moved in utero and when I say never, I am not exaggerating. I was literally almost induced four times because of his lack of movement. One time I was hospitalized for eight hours during the third trimester and the doctor did not register one movement. He failed multiple non stress tests and I had to have a few biophysical profiles. Funny thing is that he came out the most laid back kid on the planet and still is EXTREMELY mellow.
Alright ladies FTM 19w1d and I'm pretty sure yesterday I started feeling him. My question is - can you feel from the outside? I was laying down with my hand on my stomach and felt it - freaked out was so ecstatic poor husband comes running thinking something is wrong. But, I swear I felt it inside and on my hand?! DH says no it was probably just inside and you happened to have your hand there and are relating the two. But, I really think I felt it inside and out. What do you all think? Also, I should say more than a flutter, less than a kick - kind of like a little tap tap tap.
@gbud630 This sounds like me. I can't remember when I could start feeling DD from the outside but I had an anterior placenta so it was pretty late. This time I am just starting to feel something. I wouldn't be surprised though if you felt something from the outside at this point with a strong kick. So exciting:)
The only movement I felt was from the outside also, when I pressed my hand into my lower abdomen while laying down. Something definitely tapped back at me. But that was over a week ago and I keep trying to press my hand to see if I can feel anything since and nothing. I’m getting worried. I’m 18w today.
@julybaybay I did not feel constant movement as a FTM until around 24wks. In fact, I didn't feel baby at all until 20-21wks. I'm sure your bubs is fine!
@julybaybay oh, I’m sorry you’re worried; that’s an awful feeling. I’ve never done this before so I can’t tell you what’s normal, but I can tell you that I’m 19 weeks and haven’t felt movement yet at all. And yes, I’ve been wondering if everything’s okay in there. But I had an appointment yesterday and heard her heartbeat, loud and clear! It was reassuring. I hope you get to see/feel/hear your little one soon!
@julybaybay I didn't feel DD until closer to 26 weeks. I know it doesn't help with anxiety but even now as a STM at almost 20 weeks I still can't feel anything consistently that I'm confident is baby.
I am 19+3 and I think I have felt a kick one or two times but it is so faint that I’m not 100% not really getting my hopes up until it’s a for sure kick. I know I said this earlier in the post but my dr said that my placenta is in the front so if might take longer to feel movement than some moms 2 be. If I was you i would not stress
I’m 19 weeks today (baby #3). Baby was moving around like a tiny ninja last night for a couple minutes. I have felt random movements today too. Prior to last night I hadn’t felt much that i was absolutely positive about.
I wouldn’t worry if you haven’t felt anything definite yet. Everyone is different and lots of different things factor into when someone will feel movement.
One of the coolest things so far happened this morning. Lounging in bed and got up to go to the bathroom. While I was there I felt pain on my right side. Laid in bed and felt where it hurt and there was a bump, hard as a rock where it hurt. The rest of my stomach was soft. Made DH feel it and told him I thought it was baby. He didn't think so because "babies aren't hard." Laid there feeling this lump and it slowly shifted to the center of my stomach. The pain subsided when it moved away.
This is the first definite sign (besides heartbeat and US) that there really is something in there!
So crazy how every pregnancy can be so different with movement... my first I didn't feel until 22ish weeks with an anterior placenta, second was 13/14 weeks with movement from the outside at 16 weeks. I'm almost 17 weeks now with my third and nothing definite yet. Curious if I have an anterior placenta again... and hoping to feel something soon!!! It's by far the best part of pregnancy!!
