I’ve recently started to enjoy Super Bowl Sunday. Ive realized most any day that embraces all day snacking is up my alley. We are at my in laws. She’s made a huge spread of nachos, enchiladas, desserts, etc. I plan on eating way too much now that food and I are friends again. I also really hope the rams win! Their head coach went to my college and I really dislike the patriots.
Currently letting the kiddos watch the puppy bowl since the game starts so dang late today.
Crazy Patriots fans here!! We spent the morning at the Patriots Hall of Fame and having lunch near the stadium! We also took our birth announcement pic at the stadium today! We are having chili/chili dogs, nachos, and lots of snacky foods! Yum! Can’t wait! Go pats!!
@cmessamore Sounds like a great day! I’m from New England (live down south now) and am a lifelong fan. I know most are rooting against us but I’d love to see Tom get ring #6 today! We’re just watching at home without a ton of fanfare because when I have/go to a party down here people aren’t that interested in the game and I don’t get to watch it as intensely due to the chatter. Go Pats!
I’m a huge football fan and am definitely rooting for the Rams. We usually go to a friends house for their annual party but I have a wicked cold and haven’t found anything I can take for it. Plus my friend is pregnant too and I don’t want to get her sick. I’m so sad to stay home—I’m going to miss all the food!
Pats all the way baby!!!!!! We are having sausage and ribs bbq over mashed potatoes that my husband made and some hand squeezed lemonade that I made. Rams are one of our city's teams. My husband says he will be happy with whomever wins based on that, but I'm sitting here explaining to him why he's a traitor. He does this every year because he cannot take any Pats setbacks psychologically.
People think we become mothers when we give birth but the truth is we become mothers the moment we start calling our babies to us in our thoughts, dreams and prayers. Some paths are short and some are so long that you can easily forget where you were headed.

@heml agreed the game was beyond boring! And the commercials on the whole were not entertaining this year. I wanted the rams to win but they did not play the better game. I just hope Tom Brady and his MAGA hat retire this year
@oklahomak - Agreed with the GOT/Bud Light commercial. Loved it!
We had two couples over at our house and 3 kids aged from 2.5-3 ... surprisingly, no one got maimed, injured, or had a meltdown. So they were all able to stay until halftime, when it was definitely bedtime for the kiddos. I made two types of wings, pulled pork sandwiches, and had both veggie and fruit spreads that were delicious. Oh and some spinach artichoke dip - whose leftovers will make DELICIOUS pasta later on this week. On the whole, the SB was exactly what I expected. Rams and Pats have some of the best defenses out there that get completely overshadowed by the strong offenses. I knew this game would be won on defense, so I even wore my McCourty (Devin, #32 - his twin Jason is #30 on the Pats, too) jersey, knowing he'd be making some key plays. And there were a few locals cheering with me for the Pats since Gilmore was an amazing player at Carolina several years ago. DD kept popping in to steal food off my plate (you know, because the plate I made her was too convenient) and I made her say "GO PATS" really loud whenever she entered or left the area. She even wanted to wear her Edelman jersey - which, LBH, is more of a dress at the moment since the smallest size they have in kids is a 6 - to daycare today and we settled for a Pats cheerleader outfit.

@olivemomma Did you see the meme that was something like “These teams are playing like they know the winner gets a trip to the White House.” LOLed at that one.

The game was so boring. Not at all what I expected from these two teams.
My favorite commercial was the Budweiser Wind Energy commercial because I'm a fan of renewables, dogs, and horses.
