Has anyone gotten pregnant with late ovulation?

So- first time here (I’m 46-mother of 2 college daughters- remarried/husband never been a father- he’s younger than me)

I took a ton of diagnostic test on my 3rd day of my period) surprise to me- all my numbers were fine and the OB/GYN clinic said be happy, you’re lucky:

Estradiol level: 28.95

FSH: 5.9

LH: 1.8

Prolactin: 11.3

AMH: 1.62

Also- I had a bilateral hip MRI due to an old military injury- randomly the radiologist also mentioned (1/23) that I had several follicles on each side- but a dominant follicle on the right side (they gave me a cd- I saw it- I used to be a nurse)

Last night after I’ve been using fertility strips-both sides were almost the same darkness-so we did BD- this morning I finally got the real ovulation positive. So- that would make me day 19 of my cycle.

My period was 1/12 and lasted 6 days. We did BD a lot since then.

Question- has anyone gotten pregnant with a late ovulation? Could the positive mean I’m pregnant instead?

A) We are all here because we are TRYING to get pregnant. This question is more appropriate for 1st tri something of the like.

B ) OPKs test LH, not hCG

C) Day 19 is not THAT late for ovulation.

I don’t really have any answers for you but it’s against the TOU to ask us if you’re pregnant. The only thing that can tell you that is a pregnancy test.

OP, it is against TOU to ask if you are or may be pregnant, even in a roundabout way.

@daffodil_shoe Actually, an OPK can be used in place of an HPT but it's not nearly as sensitive as HPTs and the line has to be darker than the control line, it can't be lighter or as dark as the control. By the time an OPK would be positive, you could have already gotten a positive on an HPT

Also, your OB is right, you're incredibly lucky. You're 8 years older than I am and your AMH result is 4.5x higher than mine was a year and a half ago.

Oing on day 19 of your cycle is not late at all, and in the normal range. You should only be worried if your cycle length ends up being shorter than 29 days, making your LP less than 10 days long. That isn't enough time for implantation.

@swoosie46 I typically O between CDs 17-19. You're probably thinking O is late because in the traditional sense we're taught that a cycle is 28 days and that O is on CD14, which for most is simply not the case. Have you been tracking your cycles? Do you know what CD you have typically O'ed?

I suggest educating yourself about how cycles work. You say you're a nurse so you can see follicules on an ultrasound but you wonder if you're pregnant because it's CD19 and it's "late" for ovulation?

ETA: it doesn't matter when you ovulate. Some people with PCOS ovulate on CD56 and if sperm is present, then there is a chance of pregnancy.

TW I have gotten pregnant when o’ing late. I o’ed past cd 30 and have an almost 8 year old from it, but in no way does that in any way affect you. Day 19 is not late at all either.

Day 19 is the earliest I've ever ovulated in my life including during the cycles for all of my pregnancies. But that has nothing to do with you. If you think you're pregnant, buy a HPT.

1. Day 19 isn't what most would consider late. And yes, lots of women have gotten pregnant when they O later than the grossly inaccurate CD14 estimate by most apps.

Umm I have ovulated as late as day 24, you should probably buy a test if you think its possible you are pregnant, or just wait until after you think your AF should have been here.
