Never thought I'd be the first to post in one of these threads. Our little early bird came into the world via Emergency csection on Friday, Dec. 7th at 29 weeks gestation. Sean Christopher surprised his mom and dad by being our first boy after 3 girls. Team green to blue.
He came because of a premature rupture of the amniotic sac as a result of excessively high amniotic fluid levels and moderate pre-eclampsia. I'm not kidding you, they took out 6 Liters of fluid from my uterus!

That's 1.5 gallons! Normal is less than 800 ml at 34 weeks.
My little superman, stronger than his momma, is a true fighter. He had lots of scary tests, a few seizures, and a few apneas in his breathing at first. But now almost a week later, he is completely off any breathing help, is just starting to gain a little weight after losing some and having several good days in a row. At birth he was 3.8lbs and 14 in long (he loves to show off his long legs). Yesterday is was 3.3 lbs. Full head of fluffy brown hair. Long fingers. We will probably be in the nicu until the end of Jan or into Feb. It's hard to day at this point.
His sisters love him (the 3 year old is a bit confused), but he is the talk of 6 yos class and her whole school is making a prayer chain for him. We have lots of prayers being said for him which means the world to us. We are just taking things one day /week at a time at this point. I'll try to come on here and update all of you as I can. Good luck with all of the remainder of your pregnancies. When we move to a private group, I'd love to be a part of it. This community has been such a wonderful outlet for me through all of this, my most difficult pregnancy, but not with the worst outcome! ;-)

Hey everyone! My little guy arrived on Jan. 26th! . I went to the doctor on Friday for an NST and regular prenatal. My blood pressure had been running really high for the past few weeks and needless to say, I ended up being admitted and induced. I labored for roughly 24 hours (with epidural) and pushed out a super cute little guy in about 2 hours. He was 5 lbs. 2 oz. and 19 inches long! We're all doing really well but he's hanging out in NICU until his body temperature is regulated. I'm so excited about starting this ftm journey...even if it's a little earlier than expected 😊.

My FTM pregnancy journey came to an end on Thursday, 1/24. I woke to my water breaking at 2am on Thursday morning. After confirming membrane rupture at L&D my doctor began my augmented labor with pictocin. I was never able to go beyon 3cm dilation as my little guys heart rate would drop every time they upped the med drip. Doc decided that a c-section was necessary around 9pm and LO was born at 34 weeks 4 days at 9:58pm. He weighed in at 5lbs 11oz and 19 1/4 inches long. He is currently in the NICU but we are optimistic he will be able to come home by the end of the week. I am absolutely smitten 🥰.

For anyone still lingering, our group is now having babies right and left!

My baby boy was born Feb 20. After my water broke, I was in labor for 28 hours during which time my labor had to be stalled multiple times because his heartrate dropped dangerously low. After a big scare when his heartrate was in the 60s for minutes, he was born via c section, his umbilical cord was wrapped tightly and multiple times around his neck.

Despite everything, he is fine. At 38w+2, he was already 7lbs 11oz and 20 inches long. We are both healthy and home. I never wanted a c section but it was clearly the best for the situation.

Team green turned blue on 2-24 at 11:14 am after starting the induction process at 10:30 am on 2-23. He was 18.5 inches long at 5lb 10oz. Things started off a little rough for him, but so thankful he has arrived safely and we're now at home.

Our little girl was born just before 8 March 1, one day shy of her due date! I woke up at 1:30ish a.m. with contractions 10 minutes apart and strong. I waited through a few more, and we got to the birth center around 4:45. Another short labor and delivery, which I was expecting because my older daughter was also fast. We are doing quite well! Another big baby, too, 8 lbs, 11 oz, which is just an ounce and a half smaller than her big sister. I had a small tear that only required one stitch; they called it a shallow first-degree tear.

He was born today March 2nd, at 5:13 pm. My waters broke (and basically shot out of me) at midnight this morning as I was violently vomiting up some crap food that I had eaten. My contractions started immediately and were immediately strong and less than 5 minutes apart which went on for 3 hours at home until we finally got to the hospital and after I could barely make it into the car. The midwife had been telling us to wait the entire time because we kept calling her from home since I was in so much pain. She didn’t believe that I was having contractions that close together yet, well, she was very wrong! I had to be wheeled in a wheel chair up to our delivery room, they checked my cervix right away and I was already at 6 cm. This is my first child by the way! My contractions then got even closer together and even more painful, they were happening every less than 1 minute apart by the time I caved on my water birth plan and got the epidural 3 and a half hours after arriving at the hospital. I was so out of it that I couldn’t even look people in the eye who were trying to talk to me. As soon as that epidural needle went in the pain relief was almost immediate and my whole body felt so warm and numb, it was heaven after what definitely felt like hell. The regular contractions went on until delivery despite me not being able to feel them. I wasn’t able to sleep just because of excitement but I nodded in and out of being a functional person all throughout the day. They checked my cervix at 12:30 and I was at 8.5 cm, then again at about 3 and I was fully dilated and they said I could start pushing despite feeling nothing and I agreed. They let me know when I was having contractions so that I could push with them. At this point I think I was falling asleep as I was pushing, I was so exhausted. The contractions started to get so strong that I could feel the pressure to push even through the drugs, it just felt like I was extremely constipated and trying to push out a huge bowel movement. The pushing went on for about 2 hours and it felt like forever. I thought I would never be able to push him out completely even though I could see and feel his head crowning in the mirror they set up for me. The drugs either started to wear off by this time or just were not strong enough for the trauma/ pain my body was going through. I thought they were going to have to cut me open to get him out although the midwife and nurses said nothing but encouraging things the entire time, I would not have made it through without them. ❤️ They had to keep telling me to stop pushing with every contraction because I was starting to over heat and get a fever, and at that point I could feel the pressure from the contractions and was so determined to get him out as soon as possible that I just pushed as hard as I could with every single one, three big pushes with each one. Finally with the last one, I pushed out his head and they pulled his body out with it! I was in a dream that I could not believe when they put him on my chest and I held him for the first time and he whimpered for about 1 minute before trying to find nipples lol. IF I wasn’t so exhausted that I was having a mind out of body experience I would have cried, but I could only smile and think about how lucky I am. 🥰

Our firstborn Danaé was born at 39.6 days, March 1st. My water broke right after I made a scene crying that this baby would never come and that I would be this uncomfortable for the rest of my life. I felt two huge "head kicks" down there and my water were leaking ! From my water breaking, my labor was 12 hour. I did not use any pain relief as I intended to do and I am so proud of myself. (Everyone was saying to me : you'll see you'll take the epidural) I had back labour because she was sunny side up and they had to put me on pitocin (wish made the contractions stronger

) I pushed for 2 hours and she was there ! The doctors were amazing they even held a mirror to motivate me ! And it worked !

Team green went pink on February 21st at 2:24 pm. Her edd was 3/1/19 I had contractions for a couple days prior and woke at 6 that morning to bloody show and stonger contractions. Got to hospital at 8am and was 4-5cm and 60 %effaced. Got epidural at 10 and it was easy going until about 140 when i think they turned my drugs off😡. Team Green is team pink! Baby girl Ayana Kahlila arrived on her due date March 10th at 11:41pm. We had planned to deliver at the birth center but I was in prodromal labor from Wednesday to Sunday!! So painful and exhausting. Finally kicked into active labor early Sunday around 12:40am and went to birth center around 10am. I was completely effaced but wasnt dilating past 6 cm for HOURS. At this point was so exhausted. My water broke and there was a little meconium but no cause for concern. We Finally transferred to hospital shortly before 6pm, got an epidural and five hours later I pushed out my little sweetheart. So over the moon in love!

Hello Arthur! James Arthur Lowe was born at 8:12 am on 3/16/19 via RCS at 39w gestation measuring 21" long, 37cm head circumference, and 9lb12oz. Mom and baby both doing great, he is nursing well and has good sugar numbers despite being so large for gestational age.

Our little girl Kyra Belle was born 3/12 at 6:10pm. 8lbs 5oz, 20 3/4 inches Due date was 3/28 with a RCS scheduled for the 22nd. I lost my mucus plug around 10am on the 12th and started having contractions shortly after that. We called labor and delivery and was told to go in to be checked out. Went and got checked out was 2cm dialated 90% effaced. After a couple hours of monitoring they decided to go ahead with the csection that night because labor was progressing. My spinal would not take and her heart rate dropped so they had to put me under with general anesthesia. She needed to be on a CPAP for the first hour because of having difficulty breathing. No breathing problems since then. They moved her to the level 2 NICU also. The next day her blood sugar was down because she was not wanting to eat on her own so they had to insert a feeding tube. It's 3/18 and are still currently in the NICU because she is having problems eating on her own. She shows little interest and we need to wake her to even try giving a bottle or breast before resorting to the tube feed every 3 hours.

Baby girl made her debut March 9th! We were due March 27th but preeclampsia moved our timeline. I'll spare all the details but we went in march 8th, started induction around 10pm, 8am march 9th my water broke and 5.5 hrs, 15 min of.pushing later we had our beautiful baby girl. Unfortunately jaundice took hold on march 12th and we were readmitted to the hospital until march 17th. We are finally home and settling in now!

Not sure if anyone is really still on here, but Mary Josephine decided to arrive by emergency c-section after a failed vbac at 8:32 on 3/27/19. Weighed 7 lb 12 oz. and 21.5 inches long and is healthy and breastfeeding like a champ.

Started having signs of early labor around 7 PM on the 26th. Water broke on it’s own at home at around 2:45 AM. Got to labor and delivery by 4AM and labor started quickly picking up from there. Got epidural by around 6:30 in case of uterine rupture and emergency c-section just as a precaution. Took a nap and woke up around 8:25 AM in excruciating pain and told that baby’s heart rate was dropping. Got rushed to OR, but epidural dose increase was not taking affect quickly enough so I was given general anesthesia. Woke up to husband and baby Mary and lo and behold, despite a less than 1% chance and being a great candidate for vbac, my uterus had ruptured.

Despite this little girls dramatic entrance to the world both of us are doing great. Though it seems this little girl is a bit of drama queen.
