GROUP CLOSED Private Group Info

As most of you know, there was some chatter about a potential move off of The Bump (TB) and to Facebook (eventually). It was decided that we would create a Private Group (PG) right here on TB as a “first step” towards getting to know each other on a more personal level.

Mods will add you to a member request list. Once approved, you will be able to participate in private discussions that are not available to the general internet population. We are hoping to create a more private, tight knit group of members that have consistently contributed and supported other mommas on our BMB.

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to do so here. Thanks and we look forward to getting to know more of you 😊

Thanks for setting this up ladies! Just an admin question, once we request to join the group, will we get a message in our bump inbox if we haven't been accepted (just wondering where to look) and if we have been accepted, should we automatically be able to see the discussions?

@kaitcrystalline I don’t think you get a message. You might have a notification on The Bump full website. Whenaccepted, the group will appear under the “My Groups” category onthe main group page.

When you hover over the pink join button on the website, a little note pops up on the screen saying something like "you applied to join this group". Just and FYI.

I have no idea if mine has went through. When I try to submit my " Why do you want to join?" I hit okay and a random red line pops up and the box does not close or give any notification. No "you applied" hover over the join either.

Just so everyone knows, the “why do you want to join” submissions must be sent into a void. We can’t see those. Sorry, if you’ve spent time writing something out!

Oh dear, I almost missed this because my eyes always jump right past all the sticky posts. Requested, though I have to admit, I kind of can't wait for the big move OFF the Bump. It has gotten so much more frustrating to use over the last couple months.

I thought I'd ask here before sending through a request. I'm technically due in June but I've had some health issues arise and I will most likely not make it to term so I'd really like to start getting more active with this month. I am the first of any of my friends to have children and my partner works a 4 week on 1 week off roster at the moment, so I'm feeling super alone and isolated in my pregnancy

If I'm too much of a blow in I will stay firmly in the public space, just let me know!

@wiseh start joining our public discussions! We will be accepting into the private sector for a little while. The more you contribute, support, and seek in the public board the more likely you will be recognized on the private group! Perhaps hold off on requesting for now and get to know the other awesome moms in this group! Be sure to introduce yourself on the intro thread and do a quick review of our BMB rules in the “Read this first” post!

Yep, introduced in the intro thread a few weeks ago @mrskoz428. I'm due early June but my BMB suggested I become active here should I deliver early (which I most likely will now). I did post in a little bit in early December but I had a hiatus after some health issues and the Christmas/New Year period, but I may have spammed the public thread overnight with giant long posts in responses to threads cause there's like 200 to catch up on! Sorry not sorry! haha
