Yours might be! You might not need to majorly clean it, just wipe it down. Mine got surface mold on it while in storage all summer. So I really wanted to do a major in depth clean on it.
I need to do a little venting. My work changed a policy this year around our leave of absence. We used to be able to accrue PTO while on maternity leave that typically would be used while on your maternity leave. They took that away, but did not communicate that. I wouldn’t have even known if I hadn’t been reading my FMLA paperwork to make sure my doc didn’t need to do anything. I’m S.o.l for 36 hours of PTO that my tenure earned me that I won’t get. We also are given PTO throughout the year, so since I won’t be earning PTO while on maternity leave, im forced to decide to go negative in my PTO bank (either way I lose 36 hours of PTO) or choose to have some of my maternity leave unpaid so I have that PTO when I get back in case baby is sick.
Now I realize this is a first world problem and I’m lucky to even get maternity leave, but I’ve been with my company nine years. I feel like I’ve in a sense been robbed of having a comfortable maternity leave that other employees at my company had the luxury of experiencing. I will also add, I know I am not being singled out but it doesn’t take the frustration away that I’m feeling.
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
@bdesterhouse that sucks. Could you talk to HR about somehow being grandfathered in since you were planning on the leave and the change was not communicated to you?

@bdesterhouse So sorry...thank goodness you caught that! They definitely should have informed everyone of this change as it's a big one. I agree with @meggyme, go to HR and see if there is anything that can be done. It's really not fair being this close and I'm sure if you had known, you would have used your PTO while you had the chance.

My boss emailed our HR rep and inquired about the lack of communication around the change. Not sure if it will help.

No where in our handbook does it say we can do this. I used all the PTO I thought I had to in the fall and rolled over the max allowed. I would have rolled over more PTO needed to cover maternity leave if they would have communicated the change in policy. I told the HR guy that and I got no sympathy lol. I had plenty when I found out we were pregnant that I gladly would have saved, and I know my boss would have granted the exception, but she did t even know about the exception he was talking about.

Just catching up - where did the circumsision post go ?? I was totally dirty lurking, eating popcorn a few days ago and couldn't find it when I went to see what else went down in there. That guy was nutso.
Looking forward to an interesting weekend. Here in St. Louis and we are expecting at least 10, and up to 15 inches of snow starting midday today and lasting until Sunday morning...my son's school just let us know they are early releasing at 11:30 so i guess i will be leaving work and working from home for the rest of the day. Hopefully its uneventful, but sounds like we will be holed up until Monday morning. I made sure to go to the grocery store last night and get french toast ingredients everyone seems to get at these times (eggs, milk, bread lol)....working from home is a racket bc my wifi is shaky and my phones have been messing up, but at least i won't have to worry about making up any PTO that i need to save for Maternity leave.
@zionsmama85 Stay safe! That's a crazy amount that sounds pretty unpredictable. We are only supposed to get "a dusting to 3 inches" in the WI/IL/IA corner so we'll see what actually happens.
@zionsmama85@HoneyBear40 that must be one hell of a big storm. We got some winter weather warnings here in Coastal Virginia! Nothing close to 10-15in, but our town shuts down for much more than a dusting of snow.

I hope it’s ok to post this here. Just saw on the TTGP board that Keikilove and Nomangoes (they were both part of our board early on but *TW* sadly had losses) just got their BFPs!! I’m so excited and happy for them, and wanted to share with anyone else who was following their journey. Not messaging nor tagging them as we may be a painful reminder for now, but I did love tit their announcements and am celebrating and wishing them a healthy and happy pregnancy ❤️❤️.
Nothing like your OB telling you March 1st is her last day and she's moving so won't be there for your delivery. Praying I like the other lady that's doing my growth scan in a couple of weeks.

Luckily, the other doctor I meet is the same one my SIL uses and delivered her last baby. Hopefully it's a good sign! I just loved my OB and hate to see her go

AFM The stomach virus is still running rampid in my house. It’s 3:30 and I’ve been now with diarrhea/vomiting multiple times tonight. I’m also having trouble sleeping. Ugh! I’m just thankful this hit me on the weekend so I have all weekend to rest.
@mayoduck thanks! I have disinfected everything I can think of. My son, DH, and myself have all had this now. I hope it means after me we are over it. Thankfully DH is being sweet and helping me out a ton today. Including getting me drinks, doing laundry, taking care of DS, etc.

Omg I'm so excited to report that DH finally started on our fence today!!! It will be chicken wire, smaller and temporary compared to the original plan, but I don't even care because he put posts in and this way I can let the dog out instead of always having to walk him! I have been bugging DH to do this for pretty much this whole pregnancy, and it took a 4am conversation about it giving me anxiety this morning to actually get the ball rolling
I'm with your girls on the shopping sprees!! I think as soon as my curtains are here tomorrow and rug gets here...I'll finally quit lol We did manage to score a super cute moses basket yesterday...so I feel so much better that things are almost done!!

I went and got a Brazilian today and then wondered why I bothered because I can’t see my vagina anymore and DH is going away most of next month. I’m debating my appointment next month, but know it will hurt more the following month.

Oddly enough I've actually been trying to keep up with this aspect this time around (way more than with DS1). I just know I won't have any time for pampering myself after the baby is here, so I'm having mini-spa evenings almost every week, with a relaxing bath, and shaving, and body lotion etc. The only hard thing is taking care of my feet and toenails, so I guess I'll go get a pedicure soon. I don't trust DH to do a good job
@mihaelams1 I made DH trim my toe nails once, and the next time I needed to do it I got a pedicure!!! It's not that he did a baaadddd job it's just that I really wanted the foot/leg massage and the massagey chairs!
@meggyme I always get ingrown hairs after a Brazilian! I had been using an electric beard trimmer for lady-scraping so I do not know what to do!!
