Feeling trepidatious to post here b/c 1) the Rules scare me & I haven’t been here as long as some 2) TTCAL brain & it’s still so early...Also sorry for the long post, I’m still processing.
CD/DPO of first BFP? 24/9DPO First Response was BFN, several Pregmate HPTs were very very faintly positive, Pregmate OPKs were BFP.
How many months/cycles had you been TTGP? 8/4, 2 a/l
What did your chart look like?
What were you doing TGKU? FF, CP, CM, OPKs, SMEP/HIO. Prenatals w/Folate, Baby Aspirin, DHA/Fish Oil, CoQ10/Ubiquinol, Vitex, Maca, NAC, DHEA, Vit D, extra Folate. Put DH on CoQ10 & NAC too. (Basically did everything in the book “It Starts With The Egg”)
How was your timing? This joke is so old now, but I keep saying “Best I ever had” -5, -4, -3 non-finish(a.k.a. “almost” doesn’t count), -2, -1, O, +1
What symptoms did you have, if any (CS & CD breakdowns welcome)? Slight lower abdominal cramping & extreme fatigue on DPO 7, 8, 9. Weirdly, also increased sex drive. When I put this last symptom into FF, along w exercise, it dropped my pregnancy likelihood from 10 points to 2 points hahaha.
How are you going to/did you tell your partner? DH the Jokester handed me a plastic pee stick & said seriously, “I just took this test.” It was very positive & he had written "HORNY" on the handle in black Sharpie. It was one of my old positive OPKs!!!😂😂😂 So to tell him the good news I poured him a glass of good wine & poured myself some alcohol-free wine, reminded him of all the sex we’d already had recently, & showed him this funny meme my doula friend had posted for NYEve. We toasted to good timing.
Anything else to add? I just want to thank you all for your kindness, uplift, & understanding. Going through a *TW* late loss of a perfectly healthy baby was devastating, but having this group to support, distract, & inform has been wonderful. I’ve learned so much here. To the IF mamas, thank you for helping make our looming journey toward IF treatment a lot less scary.
Also, to all the AMA ladies—don’t let the hype about age & all the crap that it entails get you down. I was recently diagnosed w/diminished ovarian reserve (AMH at .72) on top of being 40+ & having autoimmune issues. Still, here we are with a BFP. It’s not the age that matters but the egg quality. I’m praying for ALL of us (myself included) that we all make healthy happy embryos that become our take-home babies. Much love to you all.❤️
yay @nomangos23! I’m so happy to see this news. I hope you have an easy 9 months and this is finally your rainbow baby . Feel free to PM me anytime if you want to talk PGAL brain, it can be so hard sometimes.

People think we become mothers when we give birth but the truth is we become mothers the moment we start calling our babies to us in our thoughts, dreams and prayers. Some paths are short and some are so long that you can easily forget where you were headed.
