Re: December Randoms

  • @brookert615 thanks!! I hadn't even thought of looking there. I'll keep an eye out for a sale. I could really use a few pairs to get me through the winter!

  • Does anyone eat a paleo diet? Looking to go that way instead of getting back into keto. I did really well on keto, but for the life of me can’t commit this time around. I need fruit, so paleo is more my style. Any recommendations on where to get recipes, books etc? I know the basics and what to eat, just want some ideas for yummy, not boring meals.
  • @kbrown2385 I did paleo last year and loved it. I still feel like that is what I eat, but I'm not so religious about it. You should follow Fed & Fit on Instagram. She is always posting delicious recipes. I have her cookbook and love it. I also have the Practical Paleo cookbook. That one is great because it gives you meal plans by what issue you are trying to fix. So they have a whole section on hormone imbalance.

  • Was just lurking the June board and meatballs got banned?! Wtf????
  • @b_1029 I wonder what she said?? Whatever it was, I'm sure it was justified.
  • @ruby696 no idea what went down exactly since a lot of replies were removed, but from what I can tell it definitely was.
  • @ruby696 @b_1029 I was lurking over the weekend and she basically told that troll to GTFO. I'm not sure if there was more, but what I saw was definitely justified.
  • From what I could read just now, I kind of dread moving on to a month BMB. I don't like when people act obnoxious about it (my sister is a great example of that right now). You're all in the same boat there as we are all here trying to get KU.

  • @inthewoods23 I know what you mean! It's intimidating to join a BMB (obvi, this is just speculation) because the ladies here are so awesome! How could any BMB live up to it?
  • @kgg2241 thank you for the suggestions! Already found delicious looking things on that Instagram.

    Happy New Year ladies!

@kbrown2385 I was paleo for a while. Look into Danielle Walker. She has a few books with phenomenal recipes! There’s also some free recipes on her website if you just search for Against All Grain!

On another note, that’s ridiculous! Meatballs has been nothing but supportive and sweet to everyone. Some people just need to be put in their place and I can guarantee it was justified!

  • Happy new year everyone!

@brookert615 I actually found her on my search last night and added one of her books to my amazon cart. Good to know the recipes are awesome! Thanks!
  • @kbrown2385 we eat a lot of paleo at home - my favorite books that we use most often are Well Fed and Well Fed 2, Nom Nom Paleo & Ready or Not (also a Nom Nom book). The last one is kind of cool because it has some weekly meal planning included in it. I've had the Well Fed books for years and still use them regularly.
  • @cdrunning thank you! I’ll check them out!
