We had a really nice day today.. My in laws came and DS opened his presents and then we did a Yankee swap/white elephant thing and that ended up being a great idea. We were all very happy with the gifts we ended up with. It was nice, much less stress than buying for everyone individually. I ended up with a bath set that comes with a candle, flowers, bubble bath, snacks. It's a bad ass gift basket and I can't wait to take a bath.
@mrskoz428 tonight I'm spending time with DS and H, we got DS a laser tag game and H is putting it together. But tomorrow, I am taking a bath for sure. It's happening.
Both my girls are awake, but neither has left their room or made any sound that indicates to us they want to come down. They're both just playing with their new Frozen dolls in their bed, and I'm not about to interrupt that 😉 I ate my maple roll and drank my coffee in peace, and I'm snuggling with the new blanket my ILs got me. Merry day after Christmas 🎄🎅😆
I'm back at work today because I'm saving up vacation time for maternity leave (and still recovering from my last leave which was less than a year ago lol), so it kind of sucks. I wish I was at home having a cozy day with DH and DD since yesterday was definitely not relaxing. It was fun, just kind of hectic - as Christmas generally is.
I'm also eager to undecorate the house and get things back to normal. DH and I absolutely hate glitter and just one card or gift bag with glitter will leave it all over the house. It drives me insane.

@peachy13 I will have to actually go out to get lunch, as our cafeteria is closed until classes start again, and I forgot to pack anything. And I have to leave early for DS's annual pedi appt. I honestly do have things I should be working on, I just lack any motivation lol. It doesn't help that my fiance took the day off and I left him all cuddled up in bed. I wanna go back and nap all day.
@sleepy33 and @peachy13 add me to the group of people working to save leave for maternity leave. We also have DD's well-child this afternoon, so I will leave early. Of course, I am in the process of getting sick again, so I REALLY don't feel like bearing down and knocking some things out today. SIGH. Toddlers are such Petrie dishes of germs. I have a feeling that I am going to be on an alternating schedule of sick for 2 weeks, not sick for 2 weeks for the rest of the winter.
@sleepy33 DH and I went on a date to PF Changs Sunday afternoon. It was phenomenal. I never regret PF Changs.
DH and I received a few Visa gift cards and cash worth about $300 for Christmas. We are debating using it to buy our double stroller. A baby/toy store near us has their floor model of the City Select Lux double stroller on clearance for $529 which is as good as I have seen it. I'm justifying the extra cost to DH as we can sell our current stroller for $75 since the double can be a single until this LO is born, so we are really only going to be out $150 for a MUCH nicer stroller than we have now. It's been 2 weeks since I looked at it, so I am hoping it is still there. I also have to run to the same mall to exchange my Cubs "9 months and you're out" t-shirt that DH got me after DD goes down tonight. I don't know why this shirt excites me so much since I will be pregnant like only 6 weeks of baseball season, but I am super excited about it.
@chloe97 i say go for it/good luck! We just returned our single stroller for a double and I'm using it as a single for now obviously - will insert adapter when we need to. It feels really awesome to have that one big thing checked off and now it's totally off my radar. I think after holidays are over, our due dates are all going to come really fast.

@peachy13 I completely agree with you that our due dates are going to come fast! DH and I actually had a (somewhat heated) discussion about the need to get moving on our projects over the weekend. I just remember how useless I was after 30 weeks with DD, so I really want to get the nursery done and move DD to her Big Girl Room and move DH's clothes into the 2nd closet in our room. Right now, I am browsing facebook garage sales and craigslist for pottery barn little girl's room furniture for DD's big girl bedroom. I found a full set with trundle bed, dresser, night stand, and chest for $850- which is a bit more than we wanted to spend altogether. I am thinking about seeing if we can talk her down in price a bit.
Just felt baby kick my hand! Suddenly it feels so real! I'm not showing nearly as much as I was with my other 2 so it's nice to feel a little something.
Christmas was fun, my 2 boys were really great with all of DH's family yesterday and now are having fun with their grandparents while I chill on their couch. Heading home tomorrow to enjoy the rest of school vacation! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday
It’s 11 and I’m just now eating breakfast, leftover baked French toast. Nom! We all slept in and just relaxed in bed all morning. Dh just left for work but will probably only go in for a few hours. But we have some major post Christmas clean up to do today. My living room is a mess with toys and I have to go through all the gifts we got from family and break down boxes and sort through all the gift bags. Dh bought me this huge air fryer and I gotta figure out where to store it!

I flew solo to the Seattle area to visit my sister and her fam from Friday to Tuesday (Xmas day) and had an amazing time with them. Yesterday was absolutely a mess... I shuttled from Port Orchard where they live at 6am to SeaTac at 715 for my flight at 10. Checked in, got through the 2 mile TSA line (only one general inspection line for the entire airport yesterday). Sat in my terminal for an hour and a half and noticed that they weren't making announcements for boarding yet (half hour before my flight). checked my screen and it's flashing saying it changed gates. I rushed to the tram to take me to the new satellite terminal, rushed to the gate and I was too late. It was 10 minutes before take off and the plane was remote where they had to drive passengers to the stairs to get on the plane.
I had a complete hormonal meltdown in front of the poor girl who was trying to tell me to breathe and got me a new plane ticket for 2 hours later. I was so wrapped up in my own emotions that I forgot to say thank you and merry Christmas... *facepalm* I facetimed DH still hyperventilating and told him what happened and he calmed me down and talked to me as I walked from my now old terminal to the new terminal. I grabbed a snack and got to my new gate and it had already been changed to another gate in the terminal I was just at.
Walked to the new gate and since I had an hour to kill and had regrouped, I decided to go to the Alaska Airlines customer service counter to give the girl a compliment because she handled my crazy over reaction beautifully. While at the counter, I was told that my new flight changed gates again and was now at a third terminal. I got to the third terminal where I sat for an hour and boarded the correct plane in the correct gate to fly home. I cried when I saw DH just so relieved that I was finally home and in his arms.
@kbeers13 WOW. That sounds horrible, I'm so sorry. SeaTac blows. There's always something when I fly out of there. I'm glad you had a good visit, though.
@kbeers13 sounds awful! SeaTac really is the worst and that satellite terminal is just ridiculous to get to. I've missed more than one flight that's been changed to a gate there. I hope they reatnlf your holiday was better!
Our Christmas was super busy this year between seeing my husband's family Christmas Eve, splitting Christmas Day for the first time with my son's father and then Christmas dinner with my family. We had a great time though and my son was so excited to see everyone. We got him a balance bicycle that he seems to really love. Today we woke up and dove into potty training. What is it about naked kids wanting to sit on the couch? We did have a successful pee on the big potty though and the only mess I've had to clean up was spilled milk. 🎉🎉🎉
@eatinwatermelonseeds it could slow down! I just feel like it's been going by so fast - maybe because DD is transitioning into a toddler and keeping me busy lol - and I feel like once we get out of the holiday woods, enjoy a cozy winter - it will be spring haha. Wishful thinking maybe.

We are having a gender reveal party on Sunday and we decided to build a bear for Baby Girl and use that for our gender reveal. I wasn’t super thrilled with the outfit choices so this sweater dress was as good as it was going to get but we put Baby Girls full name on the bear’s birth certificate to reveal the name on Sunday, as well!
@eatinwatermelonseeds@peachy13 I feel like time is just going to speed up for us. We have so much coming up. DD1 made the ensemble for the high schools musical. They start rehearsals when school starts back up. I get the lovely job of driving her over to the high school everyday, which isn’t close, and staying since she is only 8. It’s awesome opportunity for her. She has never done anything like this, but I’m just hoping we didn’t take on too much before baby boy arrives! Almost every weekend in Jan we have something planned. Feb may be more relaxing but March the play actually starts and it runs for two weeks with 7 shows! Then spring break and then we are into April. Yikes!

@mrskoz428 why not take the outfit and find something cuter in the same rough sizing at a baby store? I'm sure you could find something at a store that could fit the bear. Might be tough to fit over the hear though.
@sleepy33@peachy13@chloe97 i almost wish I could work but it’s winter curtailment and we’re forced to use our vacation days for the rest of the week. It’s nice to have the time off, but I’m just watching my meternity leave time bank tick down.
I'm having a hard time taking care of myself. Which probably sounds so stupid or lazy. But I just wrote in symptoms (I think I posted it 🤷😂) that I feel horrible and then I started thinking about it and all I've eaten today is a bowl of spaghetti. It's almost 5pm. I have had zero appetite. But it makes sense why I'm so tired and have no energy. Been drinking water, but not enough. Keep forgetting if I've taken my prenatals so I'm sure i don't take them enough. I never had this problem with DS, but back then I was my only responsibility. It's a whole new world.
DH is home from basic for the holidays, so my Christmas has been great haha. Although I’ve been pretty busy getting as much time in with him as possible until he goes back on the 2nd. He loved all the gifts I got him for Christmas ☺️ I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas
New mommy to be! EDD: 05/27/19 hoping for a girl!!!
@chloe97 thank you for the idea to just search pottery barn! I’ve been looking for beds/nightstands/dressers for ds’s new big boy room and haven’t had luck finding anything I like. 4”5 minutes of that search and I hopefully found the perfect bed and nightstand for him! Just a dresser left
So, Snapchat has a new “Bitmoji” story feature where you and your “best friend” are featured. This was in the story today! Even my bitmoji sits like a pregnant lady! Knees wide with a hand on the belly! 😂😂

My MIL is driving me nuts. Nothing major, just the build up of all the little things. I can only take her in small doses and it's been 3 days.

We saw the new Mary Poppins movie this weekend. So good! The girls have been listening to the sound track all morning.
