Y'all my cat is such an a-hole. He wakes me up every morning at like, 4:30 by banging on the doors, or standing in our hallway and meowing as loud as he can, or trying to climb up on my headboard... And just now, he perched his butt right on my home office printer so it started beeping and scanning god knows what. Why is he such a ****?

I’m so happy that I got an appointment for December 31 for an ultrasound. Don’t know if I’ll see/hear anything but at least it’ll provide some reassurance. I leave for China on January 2 so I didn’t really want to wait until I returned on january 17.

Hahaha I love this. This is me as I figure out what to pack for my trip. I need business wear but all my business wear is fitted.
Any of the experienced moms have tips for travelling in the 1st trimester? I am flying to China on Jan 2 and I’ll be 6 weeks. I then come home and fly to South Africa on Jan 19 and I’ll be 8.5 weeks. It’s long flights so that’ll be fun. I usually never pee on airplanes because I hate it but I won’t be able to avoid it now.
@AKuzReve That sounds like a great question for our Ask a STM a question thread

I have been crazy busy this week! One of my coworkers has been onto me. telling me I’m pregnant a couple times a day bc I’m tired. Today she said it so many times I just caved while we were out to lunch and said “you’re right!!!” It actually feels good to have someone at work know. I trust her not to say anything and she’s super excited for me. But holy cow she has intuition.

@sourlemon I am excited for my kids but I am not ready. I hate wrapping on a normal day, but add in the extreme exhaustion and I can't take it anymore. We haven't even gone to see Santa yet, which is a huge tradition for us! We are planning to go tonight. Also your sn is so familiar to me.
Unrelated, we didn't think the third baby would happen, so H and I booked a trip to Disney in May. We were going to bring our nanny because our youngest is still so little and it would allow us to have more time with our oldest. But she is so excited about the trip, we picked out all of our dining a few weeks before I got my BFP and I still haven't told her. This morning when she got to my house, she definitely witnessed me vomiting and I generally look like a troll these days. She doesn't seem to have any idea at all yet, but I am dreading telling her that we canceled the trip. She is going to be so disappointed. And I am really glad we didn't tell our kids yet. But that is my annoying fwp of the day.
Any other STMs+ feeling all the guilt right now? I am so tired, and so nauseated. We are watching a lot of TV, not getting out much, and eating more junk food than usual. I feel terrible about it. But DS is digging the TV time. Ugh.
@WinchesterGirl oh yes. Yesterday I got home from work and laid on my living room floor. My 10 month old did whatever he wanted until his Dad got home, including emptying an entire box of tissues all over the living room while binge-ing Little Baby Bum.
@ash0625 What is it with kids & tissues? My bedroom is covered in 2 boxes of tissues right now. Dude, quit that! But picking them all up is a lot of bending over. Not happening right now.
@sourlemon I'm excited AND ready! I only have to wrap a couple more things, but the kids wrapping is all done. We have Christmas with my parents on Saturday morning, Solstice bonfire is Saturday night (and my parents are keeping the kids), Sunday is Christmas with my extended family, Monday we celebrate with DH's side, and then we can bum around the house the rest of the week, since DH is off!!!
@WinchesterGirl We are doing a lots of Dot (on Hulu) lately. And my kids are still in their jammies (it's 10:30). My younger one is in "baby jail" right now, which is one of the Summer Infant playards. Because mama just can't right now. And I think my older one is playing in the bathroom sink right now. Oh well!
@ash0625 I HAAATE Little Baby Bum with the fire of a thousand suns.

This is my third, but when I was pregnant with my second, I cried all the time for being a terrible mother. Just know this is a moment in time and you have to survive.
Last night, my husband worked late and it was just the boys and me, so I fed them bacon, waffles, and ice cream for dinner. I did not have energy to argue. We watched a few blippi videos and off to bed they went. It will not always be like this. And also, the way my boys love each other and mess with each other and relate to each other is worth all the guilt. Yes, four months of my son's life I was pretty checked out except for basic care (and really, is ice cream for dinner even providing basic care, lol?) but he still thinks I am the greatest human on earth and he has a PITA brother he really loves too. You got this!!
Oh another random--my entire team is out this afternoon for a volunteer thing that they forgot to put me on the invite for. They felt horrible, but honestly, I am so exhausted and nauseated that IDGAF. And I get to sit here for another hour or so and then go home for the day. I should feel horrible for skipping the volunteer day but I don't. It's called self care, right?
@ash0625 OMG finally another Little Baby Bum watcher. My 2-year-old is obsessed with it!
@WinchesterGirl I'm a TTM and I give zero **** about the amount of screen time my kiddos get. Mama is nauseated and if I move too much I'm gonna barf. TV it up, kids!

@runningisrad it is our cure for everything. I turned it on at 5 this morning because I was too sick to move and it keeps him still for longer than anything else.
@vvitchhazel It is certainly not my favorite, but it does the trick.
DS is living his best life. TV time, not fighting him on food. You don’t want to eat lunch? Fine. I’ll leave some crackers out. Just sitting looking at his food makes me ill sometimes.
We have phased out LBB for the most part, there was obsession for months... but now we are obsessed with these weird toy car videos.

@WinchesterGirl@runningisrad y'all are cracking me up!! I kind of like the return of velvet, but yeah, most of the "new" trends could have stayed gone.
@WinchesterGirl@deecherise it's just so insane to me. I'm almost 35, so when I see a gorgeous, trendy 22 year old girl walking by wearing overalls with one of those striped, ribbed baby doll tees underneath and a flannel tied at her waist I'm like I'm sorry is it 1995? What the hell just happened? WHERE AM I? ARE YOU ALICIA SILVERSTONE, MISS?
I guarantee this is how my mother felt when I became obsessed with "hippie" clothes when I was a teen.

Also, scrunchies are apparently back? My niece asked me if she could have my old ones. all of these recycled trends are making it difficult for this pack-rat to clean out her closet.

When 70’s style came back I have a very vivid memory of my mother telling me “if you were around for it the first time, you’re too old to wear it the second time”. This has suck with me for over 20 years and I can’t get it out of my head when I see 90’s clothes everywhere.
