Ugggggggh. I thought I was getting away with it this pregnancy but this nausea won’t quit today. Food is barely taking the edge off and I keep having to stuff my face. Plus I know I’m still kind of dehydrated but water is making it worse and making me gag. One woman pity party over here.

While driving into work today, "Walking in Memphis" by Marc Cohn came on the radio. I've never been to Memphis. I'm not even a tremendous fan of the song but boy did I sob for a good minute when he was like "Tell me are you a Christian child?/And I said "Ma'am, I am tonight!!"
Is 4:25 PM too early to go to bed? Asking for a friend.

I threw up in the hallway last night as soon as I walked in the door. My husband is great and has been trying really hard to make sure food is cooked and I can eat when I come in late but the smell of the food and the sudden heat after being outside did me in. I felt so horrible reacting like that to his hard work.
today Ive been cramping quite a bit nothing worse than menstrual cramps but they're there it makes me nervous. I also went to the rr earlier today it was slightly pink when I wiped!😥 I don't really have a set ob yet and I feel like I cant call anyone to voice my concerns. I do stand and walk all day and I've really been a little dehydrated due to liquids being disgusting right now!
@meatballs37 nope! Tell your friend it’s perfectly acceptable ;-) I fell asleep on the couch around 5 today lol. I’m heading to bed very soon now at almost 9pm!
@antera23 Thankfully no more spotting I did cramp all day. I came straight home and just laid down it does seem to have calmed that down too but now I'm just nervous and every little thing makes me worry!
@vv826, make sure you double down on the water, too (since you mention dehydration). I’m always astonished, even now in my third pregnancy, how much water I actually need to function and I definitely notice that I feel much MUCH worse (and even crampy) if I’m not careful to get enough water, especially if I’m up and moving and not resting enough. Hopefully that helps calm things down for you!

@KissMeImScottish Thanks I will water has just been a major source of MS even flavored its horrible. Core water for some reason is less offensive so I will buy some of that and today. I also woke up with a craving for apple juice so I grab some of that too. I'm going to try that and rest this weekend hopefully things calm down and if not I will call Monday and try to get in sooner with the OB that i'm scheduled with in a week or so
@vv826 how do you do with sparkling water? I had a couple weeks where the thought of still water grossed me out, but if it had bubbles I was good to go. (Gas was a little much, but at least I was drinking something.) I still can't do plain water but dropping a few frozen berries or slices of orange or grapefruit in it has been a gamechanger too. Good luck!
@ki1244 I've never liked sparkling water but everything else has changed and at this point I'm pretty desperate so I'll give it a try. I've tried lemon in my water and that was a no go but fruit sounds more appetizing so I'll try that too. My last pregnancy I dealt with a ton of Braxton hicks for a long time maybe this is just a preview of that again. Thankfully no more spotting since yesterday morning so fx that its nothing.
@vv826 I normally don't care for lemon in my water, but had it a little at first, with a few slivers of raw ginger. It was ok, but orange or grapefruit has been wayyyyy better, although that could just be Baby talking too. Apples, cucumber, or watermelon is pretty tasty too!
@vv826 go get it, girl! (Normally when I say that it's in regard to sexytimes. Pregnancy is weird.) Also take a look at Crystal Light or Mio, maybe? Just the kind with low/no caffeine...they keep slipping it in there.
I’ve been on the dehydration struggle bus this week - had my first official ob appt (had seen my gynecologist at 4weeks and 6 weeks before transferring) and the phlebotomist taking the 10,000 vials of blood even mentioned I was dehydrated.
Started taking rx prenatals with way more iron, and that plus dehydration has brought on constipation. If I ever thought I was constipated at any prior point in my life, I now know that I was not because this is the real deal, lol. So much gas and bloating and cramping! Threw back some prune juice shots last night and that seems to have helped. I live in Las Vegas and since we have moved here dehydration has been challenging for me anyway, but after this week I won’t let it happen again!!
@pigglesworth I had that happen last pregnancy and I know what you mean, it go so bad I really thought I'd have to go to the ER for help. I'm sorry I hope both our dehydration problems get better soon!
Had my first bought of bad heartburn combined with horrible gas last night. Made for an extrememly uncomfortable combo. Thankfully felt better with Tums and (TMI) lots of farting 😂 Poor hubby.
@pigglesworth I was dealing with horrible constipation at first. This has now been swapped with the immediate need to poop first thing in the morning.
@ki1244 That gave me a good giggle. Oh, the things that pregnancy does to us.
@wearyfuzzball sorry about the gas, that can be really rough. I feel like my husband is accusing me of farting now while I sleep. I can't defend myself! And maybe I am, so what?
@pigglesworth I'm sorry to hear about the dehydration. I will second that it is really hard right now to get enough fluid down and I can't imagine how much harder it would be if the climate was making it even more challenging! There are some great suggestions put out there, but with anything, just take it slow and take little sips at a time.
I'm not as whiny today. Yesterday was pretty horrible both from a physical feelings perspective and from a head-game perspective. I just felt so defeated to feel so bad. I thought it was getting better, but maybe it is. My husband came home and rubbed my back and reminded me to just take it one day at a time.
+1 on the gas train here. I was SO glad everyone left work early yesterday because I was letting them fly in my office. Was practically a hovercraft over my desk chair.
@chrssyms your DH sounds like a gem. He's right...can't do anything about tomorrow, so just hang in there for today. I'm sorry you feel defeated...but you know what, it's damn hard work growing a human! And it's ok that something that big is exhausting and draining. You're doing something amazing. Remind yourself of that!
Everything I eat comes straight up I’ll be 12 weeks Monday I thought I would get a relief this week this nausea is really taking over and also extreme tiredness
@Ahskyy21sorry you are suffering. I will be 12 weeks as well on Monday and I'm still nauseous and vomiting. Although, I would confess my vomiting isn't as bad as your's does at this time. Hopefully you will get some relief soon in a couple more weeks!
I'm hungry today just hungry and not eating just makes me nauseous but I've also had 2 bottles of water I think fruit is the trick for me! Mostly my emotions have been intense today, I cried because DH is really fighting me on wanting to know the sex of the baby (which I don't want to). I ugly cried then made him feel bad then I cried for making him feel bad
I don’t know what it is about the weekend but I’m always the sickest. Today is no exception. I’ve thrown up everything I’ve eaten since 3pm. Not sure why.
I read something online from a first time mom about how eating became something new because she was just concerned about getting the proper nutrients to the baby, blah blah blah. It’s probably all the puking, but it really irritated me. I would love to be able to be eating all the fruits, vegetables, and lean meats but my body will only accept carbs and salt. Even then it’s touch and go! I took it as very condescending even though I am aware it wasn’t meant that way —> hormones. Lol.
@antera23 I know exactly what you mean I hate articles or comments like that. I mean if I could eat healthy I promise you I would but if I can barely keep down things that don't sound disgusting how am I supposed to eat something that makes me throw up just thinking about it! 🤦🏻♀️
Well, I’ve officially hit that point where I can no longer sleep through the night without having to pee by 3:30 am. 😒 I was just thinking the other day how I was glad that symptom seemed to have left me alone so far (it started as early as 4.5 weeks with both my other pregnancies). So, the combination of the tail end of this head cold combined with the fact that I am now guaranteed to be woken up in the middle of the night combined with pregnancy insomnia is making for an AWESOME trio for my mood right now. I just want to sleep!

Insomnia is fun. Finally gave up and am up mopping now. I’ll get tired right about when the kids wake up and I will spend all day fighting to stay awake. But I will have pine fresh floors...
@Dcwtada, solidarity. Them pine fresh floors, though! Haha. Actually, that’s not a terrible idea, since I’m hosting Thanksgiving on Thursday and apparently have zero energy to clean during the day...maybe you’ve discovered the secret! 🤔

Lol @KissMeImScottish it is a terrible secret but it will be more pleasant when I am face down on the floor by noon. Good luck with thanksgiving that is an undertaking without 3 littles and pregnant, that is honestly making me tired just thinking about it! Not having a proper kitchen yet saved me from that this year. Christmas might be another story
@KissMeImScottish I hear you with the insomnia and needing to pee at night. I was up just about every hour last night either needing to pee or just being awake.
I think i’ve noticed a pattern. Every time I clean the shower I throw up constantly the rest of the weekend. I told my SO that means I can’t clean the shower anymore. He didn’t seem to think that was the cause...
@antera23 I got shamed by my midwife last time for not eating enough vegetables and fruit. I would have loved nothing more than to be chowing down on alllll the healthy stuff, but I couldn’t stomach it. Those food aversions lasted the entire pregnancy 😞. What a jerk she was about it

@tuxielove93 Really? That’s so rude and sorry to say, but uneducated of her. I have hyperemesis gravidarum and my MFM has been nothing but supportive about me eating what I can keep down. He’s more concerned about me not keeping anything down, just wanting me to get some sustinence for myself and baby.
@luckystar28 did you have HG with your first pregnancy? I thought I remember saying this was unlike what you experienced before. It’s good that your MFM is supportive. And I agree that you just have to do the best that you can do whatever your situation is with MS. Other people who haven’t gone through it or aren’t going through it now should keep their “helpful” advice to themselves!
Lately have had a sore throat and cough.....so I really hope I am not getting sick.....and the exhaustion has been unreal the past couple days....insomnia is not helping that.
@chrssyms sorry you are having a tough time. I cried this morning because I just didn't feel good and I was so tired and couldn't sleep last night. I whined to DH and literally cried about it. I felt like a little kid whining "I just don't feel good!!!!" if we can't complain to eachother here, what is the point right?
@chrssyms I actually didn’t I was low key nauseous the entire pregnancy but nothing like this. I think I vomited maybe 5 times my entire first pregnancy, just nausea. This time 5 times a Day is a good day 😂
