My body didn’t wake me up to pee after 11:30 pm. I had the worst kidney pin of my life, couldn’t even breathe, because of it. I put heat on it and it seriously INSTANTLY stopped. Thankful I don’t feel completely miserable anymore but wow, that was painful!
Just chuggin' along. I have occasional nausea versus daily vomiting so that's been a nice change. Acne is easing up a bit. I'm craving so many carbs still because meat sounds gross.
My nausea is mostly first thing in the mornings now and goes away quickly. I am still so tired, I can't wait to have more energy. I have been pretty bad lower back and hip pain lately. I still have a weird aversion to most meats, which makes getting in protein hard.
@eatinwatermelonseeds glad the vomiting is subsiding! I’m sure that makes a big difference! I wish my acne was going away, but alas, no such luck yet!
@MelissaMay82 now that you mention it, I haven’t been able to eat a lot of meat either. Even eggs sound bad. I’ve been doing a lot of soup, because that sounds heavenly. Do you like peanut butter? I can stomach PB&Js for protein.
@mrskoz428 I have also been doing a lot of soups. I can do meat on pizza, chicken fingers, bacon, sausage. PB&J sounds amazing, I will have to pick up some jelly!
Meat only sounds appealing to me in small bites mixed into things, like soup or stir fry, or those one pot casserole deals. The *only* meat I will eat straight is cold cured meat, like prosciutto or cured sausage. I was just shopping at Aldis and in addition the prosciutto and brie I bought for an after dinner snack, I bought the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella sticks and ate those on the car on the way home.
I found beef jerky that doesn’t have nitrites or nitrates added! Yes!
Also, my dog keeps laying on my stomach. Today, I think I felt baby “push him off”. I moved him, and the feeling stopped. Felt a lot like the little kick I felt when my midwife pushed up against me with the Doppler. 🤷🏽♀️ So, maybe?
My newest symptom has been major belly itch. Now that I'm starting to get a small baby belly and things are growing outwards, the itch has come full-force. I bought a belly cream and it seems to be helping, but OMG it's all I can do sometimes to keep from scratching my skin off!! 😖
I've been trying not to complain too much but this SOB and palpitations is really frustrating me. I finished the prednisone on Friday so I've been trying to take it easy because i don't want to have to go back on them. Now ive also been getting really bad headaches this whole week. Thankfully, Tylenol is helping but i have to keep taking it. Im 12 weeks right now and TB says this is when headaches usually pop up. For realz, this pregnancy is totally not like my previous one.
@expandcontract I didn't realize there was a primetime for headaches. I'm 11+3 and yesterday I had a wicked headache that I couldn't shake, and I had a much more slight one this morning. Makes sense with timing.
Meat still sounds gross unless in soup. I still cant do too much diary or I get bad gas, I mean bend over and cry gas pains. I can sleep my entire day away and still feel like I haven't slept enough. My face is trying to break out but hasn't done so just yet. I'm 13+3
13 + 5 today. Random waves of nausea all day and a headache. Took a 1.5 hr nap this afternoon. Week 13 has been a lot better than weeks 11 and 12, maybe symptoms are starting to ease when it comes to being sick? New is lower back aches, aching stomach and just general aches. I think things are stretching and moving. Little bump now!
@mrskoz428 that sounds horrible. I hope you are feeling better asap!
I'm still having some nausea and so many aversions. I feel bad but I've really hardly been able to eat anything lately. Also so much round ligament pain. It feels like baby is in a bad spot and just needs to move over a bit.
@Jess4us I need to call my OB office because they weren’t overly thrilled with these symptoms. I’m afraid it may be gestational diabetes because it is SO bad in the morning!
@mrskoz428 I think it's a little early for GD if you don't have any of the other risk factors (but maybe you do). If I haven't had a full breakfast, I definitely get really tired and need to sit down. Doesn't work well when I'm trying to *make* breakfast. I need to eat some granola or something while making waffles, pancakes, etc. if I'm doing anything more than just scooping yogurt into a bowl with some toppings. I would guess it's just blood pressure related - not necessarily great but don't get too worried about GD yet unless your doctors are concerned.
Pregnancy plus cold plus working today with a toddler at home because daycare is closed. We'll see how today goes but I'm not overly optimistic. And we can't really go outside because the air quality is so bad due to the fires (which are hours away).
I've had migraines three days in a row but am really trying to limit my Tylenol intake. Yesterday I was fine nausea-wise but today is full blown so nauseous I need to lay down. I both hate it and like the reassurance.
@mrskoz428 I agree with @kvh22 about the GD! Also, I *think* all cured meats do have nitrates and if they say no nitrates or nitrates added, they usually say something like "except those occurring naturally in celery salt". But I could be wrong about that and have no idea if it even matters 🤷 I know plenty of moms who ate lots of hot dogs and have perfect babies 😂
@kvh22@DuchessOfCambridge my midwife/nurse did say they were concerned about it, even though they also say it’s early but possible. We’ll see. It’s an all day thing, unfortunately.
Still nauseous and cramping....☹️ the only thing that sounds good to me right now is plain spaghetti no veggies 😭 chicken nuggets chicken sandwich French fries and lemonade.
@jwalters2019 I'm pretty much surviving on spaghetti noodles with butter, a little garlic powder and a ton of parmesan cheese. No veggies, no meat. It's probably not helping me at all.
@DuchessOfCambridge my sister had it with three out of her four pregnancies which is why they are concerned. I, of course, would be one to not make this easy. Ugh! Can’t wait for my appointment next week.
Nausea came back over the weekend after I thought I was actually in the clear. So, back on meds I go. Also, headaches galore (and I have no tylenol in the house waaaah) and still a ton of fatigue. I thought I was past that too, but I've started falling asleep on the couch at 8:30 again, and am barely able to function between dinner and bedtime even when awake.
This is going to be a looooong pregnancy.

@truth_trust I cannot live without my Gas X pills, I also get the super painful gas pains, especially if I wait too long to eat or eat a lot of salad. I get the kind that are tiny and you just swallow, cause I hate the chewable ones. They are a lifesaver!!!
@mrskoz428 you're sounding more and more like me each day! For me, the mornings are the worst because that's when Im doing the most activities... washing up, changing, getting ready, ironing clothes, etc. Aside from taking meds for the asthma, I've found that I needed to change my routine drastically so Im not trying to do so many things at once. I no longer shower in the morning, I try to get my clothes the night before ( which i really hate for some reason), Husband is in charge of changing DD and getting her washed up now. Maybe if you try to lighten your routine in the morning, it will help?
Headaches galore! Seriously, why? I didn't have it this bad last time. And I can NOT stand this cold weather! It literally feels like it's reaching my bones.
@mrskoz428 I had the dizziness really bad in the beginning around 4-5 weeks. Getting ready in the morning was awful. I still occasionally will feel lightheaded every now and then. Scary feeling. Hope it gets better for you!
@jwalters2019@eatinwatermelonseeds and @missy052819 I thought I was the only one that liked noodles like that! For days when you want something easy, the knorrs pasta sides Butter flavor is a great substitution, and it’s so quick and easy. That was actually dinner last night. 😂
I really can’t complain, but I actually wish I felt more symptoms. It’s mainly just reflux after I eat, occasionally feeling lightheaded, and constipation. 🙈 I guess I should be thankful, but it messes with my PGAL brain so bad, and my next appt isn’t until the first week of December.
@expandcontract I shower (as in wash my hair and the full nine yards) every other day, and today was shower day, so that may have not helped. I think I need to eat something BEFORE I get out of bed. It’s just me and the dogs in the morning, so I’d have to shift things to the night before, which wouldn’t be awful. Sadly, this lasts most the day, but is definitely FAR WORSE in the morning!
@mrskoz428 I didn't mean to come off as though you don't know what you're talking about. I'm just surprised because you're teeny! I know small people can get GD too but it's less likely so I just assumed you were low risk
@DuchessOfCambridge low doesn’t mean no. My sister is small, like me, and she had it. It’s weird because we don’t have any history of “permanent” diabetes. I don’t want it to be that, but they are definitely watching for it.
@DuchessOfCambridge I have a 4th graders that has type 1 right now and I feel like his is so not under control. He is constantly low and about once a month, he is dangerously high, like 500s high! He can barely be in the classroom those days because he’s throwing up and miserable. Honestly, it breaks my heart. He’s had it since he was 4, which is just insane to me!
So sorry to hear the crappy symptoms everyone is still struggling with! I think my morning sickness is easing up, but I do get a doozy day in there every once and a while (Friday). I think I'm going to be catching up on sleep for days after this weekend. It was great - my brother and SIL (and two kids) and my parents came up to help us as we redo our bathroom and it was amazing help! But I'm just so tired, and caught my niece and nephew's cold - haven't slept for the past two nights feeling like I'm drowning in snot. And I have a whole new huge appreciation for ST+M! How do you keep up when you feel like shit?!

Is getting fat a symptom? Cause I swear to God no matter what I do... the scale goes up a lot more than it should for typical baby weight.
Ps. Whenever you guys see edit...it's cause I typo.
